Feedly RSS for Galaxy Gear - Samsung Galaxy Gear

Hi All,
I just read this article that says Feedly is now optimized for the Gear. What does this mean? After updating I can see no way accessing Feedly from the Gear.
Feedly now works with the Samsung Galaxy Gear, assuming that you've got the Samsung smartphone that is also required, and can share directly to Facebook.

Doesn't work.

I wonder when the app will come. Feedly customer support sucks. I have never once gotten a reply from them so Im not going to bother emailing to ask.

The app is available. Just doesn't work on the gear. Even after the feedly update.

The gear app or the android app? I don't see the gear app in the samsung store...

I assumed it was a two for one type of thing. I don't see them making two apps.

Yup, they're two separate apps. From their blog - "To get the gear running, you need a separate apk which is being reviewed by Samsung and will be available on the samsung store shortly."

What does shortly mean? Months and Months like the Widget?

Good News
Can't wait for this app to be released. The watch has so much potential.

Same. Feedly is the app I use most on my phone. Hoping we can read entire articles and not just headlines on the watch.

(App)Videosurf

Hey App Fans,
Iv'e seen multiple articles showing a new app call videosurf that will record a video and tell you what the movie is along with other things. Its similar to soundhound or shazamm app but with movies and tvshows.
Has anyone been able to get this app? If so, can someone please send me a download link? I hear it's free on the market, but I have yet to find it on the market.
Thanks,

My bad. Didn't have my phone on me at the time. It's not working for me either. And I've tried emulating SIMs from the US and Australia. No luck. Maybe an email to the devs? They might have borked something while submitting it to the market.

Yes you are correct. Someone if challenged could probably get it to work for other carriers, however, I was answering the question as to why you cant find it on T-Mobile market or in my case the Sprint Market. I quoted the wrong quote. Sorry for the confusion.

Samsung Galaxy S4 update brings move to SD, HDR video capture

Searched for this thread, but didn't find it. Apologies if this is a repost.
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s4_update_brings_move_to_sd_hdr_video_capture-news-6170.php
Samsung got some heat for how much free storage is available on the Galaxy S4 out of the box and the company promised to look for ways to increase it. A new update that hit S4s in Germany is a step in the right direction.
The update (XXUBMEA) weighs in at 366MB and after installing it you get 9.23GB of free storage, up from 9.15GB (on a 16GB model). It's not much, but the update does bring a proper way to free up some space – you can now move apps to the microSD card.

Yea even though this is a German update it shows they are going to add this back in. This will most likely not hit the states for a bit though.

I don't see why there would be any sort of significant delay, they're just slowly rolling them out all over the place at the moment. The UK has gotten it, China has got it, and Germany - probably more too.
We should see it soon!
PS. There's a thread on it just a couple threads down haha, no worries

Well my BlackBerry was my first smartphone and BBM was more used than actual text messages... I doubt it will be like that now because now everyone won't have it. But I am still way excited to see this and how it develops. I don't see how you can not be excited especially being an ex-BlackBerry user!
Awesome, now will it let me talk to people in 2008 when people still used BBM?

first thing I have heard about BBM in a long time... kind of surprised there is a high enough interest in the making of the Android version, possible I guess though.
BBM was cool back in the day, but I don't see a reason for it now, not as if you can't just text who ever you want, on any carrier, on any device.......

no different than BBM if you ask me, not needed imo

Ok cool. So why do this need to be on android?
If this has all of the security built into it like when it's on an actual Blackberry then some corporate IT departments may let their employees use an android phone to receive corporate messaging. The company I work for is owned by a major defense contractor and has prohibited the use of android phones for corporate use. They must be Apple fan boys since they still allow the Iphone. I chose to not receive corporate mail on my phone and use a webmail client instead to bypass IT.
Tried searching online all last night and today and still can't find the leaked APK yet... anyone else?!

Just my two cents from watching the forums I know over in the ATT n3 page they removed it and all links to it because they haven't proven that there isn't any harmful malware or anything else. So from all I have read if you use be careful and read everything fully.

This is normal, it is a bug that hopefully they will fix one day. Everyone has been getting it, some more than others and a few have not. Just tap not to remind me for 30 days and go on with life.
Actually that's not Lookout. Its the new built in security policy. It looks similar. It can be turned off in settings>security
