what is happening or what message are you getting after keying in the unlock code?
Hi
My phone is already unlocked by Bell but I have lost the actual numbers they gave me, is there a way to find them on the phone.
Thanks
jim
Hi,
I have noticed after reading a few threads that a lot of people in the UK are mentioning that they are going to de-brand their N4. How & why is this done? Does deleting all of the applications that came on the phone also accomplish this?
Also, will it make the phone any snappier after doing this and does this count as 'rooting'? Apologies for all the 'silly' questions, but I am fairly new to this.
Thanks,
Sam
I think was they are referring to is to root the device and this would allow you to put a stock firmware on and or remove the preinstalled software that can't be removed without rooting first.

You debrand a phone by unlocking it first (o2 sent me unlock code just an hour ago) , then flash stock firmware over the carrier firmware, then perform a factory reset, your phone will be debranded as if you purchased a sim free version, no carrier crap.
You do not need to root to debrand

Is the un-lock needed tho?, can't you just flash the current BTU if you dont need to unlock? Thanks.
I think you could do that yeah, don't think it would cause any issues with your phone functioning, only thing it would mean is your phone isn't completely de-branded as it would still contain your carriers sales code (I could be wrong here) just my take on it from what I've researched in the past
Hallo, I recently bought this phone on ebay that I knew blocked t-mobile uk, I upgraded the firmware nobrand, I changed kernel, csc, I tried all apps unlock but I could not, where is the block?
Please anyone has any suggestions?
Thanks.
no one has ideas?
Hello,
Can you help get rid of verizon on my phone. Its was working on state and now Im travelling in France and stoped working.
Ive download different version with Frija and install them with odin but nothing change.
Now I'm trying anther solution with flashboot as described below
I just bootloader unlocked a Verizon branded Pixel 3 - how is this possible??
I mean, I'm not complaining. But I was incredibly surprised! I bought the phone BRAND NEW AND SEALED, from the current sale on woot ($170), and yet was still intending on returning it after I realized I had bought a Verizon variant, albeit...
forum.xda-developers.com
but flashboot devices command returns nothing (adb devices is wotking)
BTW my drivers are uptodate
Any ideas !!
Thanks in advance
