Hi Guy's,
i got a small issue, one of my co workers tried to root his phone at home and got busted. I guess he tried the 1 click solution and it didnt work. he said the phone got stuck in an loop during back up.
When i boot all i get is a Triangle and a phone. I am trying to root the phone using the sdk but when i folow the guide it brings me to using the flashrec method. That wont work for me cause i dont seem to have any os!
Can someone help me out on getting this thing out of the mud its a rogers G1 with Dream PVT 32b with Hboot -1.33.0010
Thanks for the help!
This is not Development related. ALL questions that need answers (that are not development related) go in the Q&A section. Moved.
Okay he just told me he tried using the flasrec method and it got stuck looping during the backup. I guess the image has been erased
Is it possible to change the spl using the SDK and fastboot?
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (only works if root was successful or reflashing original recovery)
is it possible he tried to flash the non-rogers recovery?
try flashing RA-Dream-v1.5.2R.img (R being the rogers version)
i still get downloading 'boot.img'... FAILED (remote: not allow)
Is it possible to root the phone Without using the flashrec? using the Fastboot/sdk to flash the bootloader to 2005? i cant seem to find any info on this... Or Since the root failed and there is no recovery is it possible to put back the image files to the phone so it can boot into the os? or do i absolutely need a recovery for this?
Close this i figured it out went into boot flas and wiped now its booted 1.5
thanks
Hey guys, I'm in need of some help....
I was flashing an update to my ROM on my unlocked HTC One using CWM touch recovery. The aroma update process appeared to complete correctly and i rebooted the phone however, it failed to get past the bootloader screen trying to boot the rom. When it bootlooped back into recovery I discovered I have a pretty major problem, the bootloader attempted to boot into recovery, flashed up the CWM recovery screen, but then that bootlooped too. I can reboot into HBOOT/fastboot but nothing else. I have tried fastboot flash recovery to TWRP and CWM but they are still flashing up and then rebooting. Any ideas on what I can do to dry and rectify this? I don't really fancy a £600 paperweight a couple of weeks after getting it...
Cheers
Hi guys i have a big problem with my phone htc one m7
i was flashing my phone with a 4.4 viperone rom, and performed a nandorid back up prior to the flash.
Installation failed and i was forced to reboot the phone, now when it loads it brings up TWRP for a few seconds and loops.
is there anything I can do to resolve this ? i cant get into recovery itself to flash a custom Rom but can access HBOOT 1.44.
i have S-On.
any help would be greatly appreciated, have i bricked this phone if i cant get into the recovery or it doesn't load ?
thanks so much

First if you want help, change your thread title to something more specific like: ''Help - bootlooping after custom rom flash''
Did you wiped cache? What version of twrp are you using?

Thanks very much for getting back to me, after 12 long hours of research and getting my head around it, i finally found a solution!
In a nut shell this is what i did to resolve the issue:
installed ADB and Fastboot drivers
flashed a recovery img using fastboot
in recovery TWRP, used ADB to push a custom rom to my sd card
flashed with custom recovery and installed OS
What wasnt made clear was the fact that you need to be in a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM) in order for the ADB drivers to work. I was stuck for a number of hours troubleshooting why fastboot would detect my device (fastboot devices) and ADB wouldnt! It was only when i had my phone connected to my windows machine and phone was in TWRP, i could talk to my device and run adb shell, and adb push.
thank god that little cookie is over, heart attack and a loss of my Sunday, but all good now
Hi, I have tried being clever and rooting my HTC ONE Mini, which all went perfectly well. Unlocked Bootloader and installed TWRP.
I found a radio update on a website and tried installing it, with S-ON. As you can imagine I am not stuck in Bootloop.
I somehow managed to wipe all the data off my phone and sdcard too.
So I am stuck with a phone in bootloop with recovery from TWRP.
Everytime i try and fastboot flash any file even an Android ROM.zip it doesnt like it. I am novice at this so you are probably reading this and think what is he doing.
Can someone help me or guide me to getting my phone back and running again. Please??

You can't use fastboot to flash a rom.zip! It must be pushed to your phone (use either adb push or adb sideload from recovery) and installed from custom recovery.
Btw this is the wrong forum for your device. Htc one mini forum is here
