[Q] Urgent Assistance - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I cant believe this has happen to me but it has happen. I made a back up on my ROM i wiped everything and most of had wiped sd card too. I am using clockworkmod, I'm S off with moonshine and am using Moonshine Custom Hboot Can you guys please help me I dont know what I'm doing I need my phone on for an important call today. I'm thinking sideload is best option but my device cant be found on my pc I'm thinking its because USB debugging isnt checked but idk.

If u can't get adb sideload to work, ur still good. You have s-off, get the 1.29 RUU. Relock ur bootloader, run RUU & start over. Then you can restore ur nanoid

I was thinking that on my way to and from the store but my moonshine hboot couldnt that brick the device? since its not stock hboot.

Uninstall HTC sync and the drivers install these drives http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263822
Reboot your pc make sure any anti virus and or firewalls are disabled including Windows firewall. Boot your phone into recovery and click advanced sideload mode then finally adb sideload romname.zip
Off it still fails to see your device assuming your running Windows go into device manager find the unrecognised device and point to the naked drivers. No need at all for RUU's or s-off again.

I have been running 4.3, s-off on 1.55 & then 1.44 revone. I have started from scratch several time to clean everything up. I'm not sure about moonshine, never used it, but the ruu will return u to stock. I don't think it will be a problem-you will of course have too gain root access again.

I'm quite sure he already cleaned everything up by formatting his sd card, hehehe. My reply above should get him up and going.

Try flashing TWRP from bootloader just type fastboot flash recovery ChangeToRecoveryName.zip then try to sideload again. If that fails make sure you have updated your adb and try again.

Still a no go. My adb is updated I just downloaded it on my desktop. I think I'm not typing the recovery right, I not exactly sure what you mean by ChangeToRecovery.zip .

If you download a recovery and the file you download is called twrp6.2.zip then the command you type is fastboot flash recovery twrp6.2.zip
I am assuming you understand adb? If your adb directory is located at c:/android on your computer that's where you put the recovery image you download and then from a command prompt on your computer you type CD.. (enter) until your at c: then CD android (enter) then type your fastboot flash recovery twrp6.2.zip command.

I cant even be mad at you I figured you were starting to get irritated. the ADB works in bootloader its just not picking up in recovery for some reason. Just Like my UTG Cord worked in the ROM but not in the recovery. IDK what's wrong Thanks for your time and effort.

Do you know how I can get Stock Bootloader to run a RUU? thats the only solution I can think of.

If your ADB works in Bootloader, try using the toolkit. Worked for me everytime. Just put the rom you want to sideload in the specified folder.

That's why I said to install the Universal Naked Drivers which I linked above your phone will then be recognized in recovery. I am not irritated, but if you can't figure out how to install a driver I can't help you over this forum. I could help you with team viewer but I am not at home.

Try chaging the name of the rom to "sideload". See if it will sideload it then. "adb sideload sideload.zip"

Last time i had all kinds of issues also, got some good help like you folks
I was scared to try it on my own, so i bit the bullet and formatted in recovery, used Hasoon2000's toolkit after i redownloaded sdk 32bit(for my 64bit system) and BAMM! Sideload went smooth as silk-not rubbing in your face, but hopefully we've mentioned something that might help.

I forgot to put a ROM on my sdcard before wiping/flashing kernel and my phone won't boot now. How do I get a ROM on there?
If you have a nandroid backup on the phone, resore it. If you don't have a backup, copy the ROM you wanted to install to the phone via 'adb push rom-name.zip /data/media/rom-name.zip' Then flash as described above.
Or easier go to TWRP recovery ---advanced ----- and adb sideload

Send from my awesome 1080p
you have to make sure it is the exact ruu for your device or you will get an error
Try to get into boot loader or recovery. Make sure the phone is under light and try resetting it by pressing power and volume down. The phone can not be in a dark room or this will not work. Then connect your phone to the computer. Navigate on your PC to where you have the Android platform tools. Now hold down SHIFT and right click in this folder where the platform tools are, and select open command prompt here. Type in "ADB devices" with no quotation marks. You should see your phone come up, it will probably be something like "HT something something" this is the serial number of your phone. If you see this continue. Make sure the ROM that you are trying to put on your phone is in the same folder when you held shift and right clicked. Now you need to type "ADB push" followed by the exact name of the ROM that you placed in the same folder as the platform tools. So it should be "ADB push ROM_NAME /sdcard" without the quotation marks. The /sdcard part tells the computer where to place the ROM on your phone. If you are able to do this, reboot into recovery and you should be able to flash the ROM from there. A side note, it could take anywhere from 1 to 5 or 6 minutes to push this ROM to your phone, roms for this phone are big files and they take a while to push in this way.

Hope you get this sorted out. If not, we need more info like where and when you bought the device what carrier your on, what firmware you had and what rom you were flashing. Also if your running windows and what version or mac/Linux.

Otg only works on powered cables, you need to format your data via TWRP and adb sideload a Rom. It must be 4.3 or your touch screen won't work. And you can't s-off because there are no known exploits for hboot 1.55

You are correct wont work on 1.55 hboot, I guess I wasnt paying very good attention when I replied.
1. Download a 4.3 ROM on PC
2. Go into twrp, wipe cache, dalvik, data, and system.
3. Place a ROM on your computer in the same folder as your adb tools
4. In twrp, go to advanced, then side load
5. In command prompt on the PC, issue the command "adb sideload filename.zip" from the folder containing your adb tools and the rom

Personally I prefer TWRP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173870
Download this to your adb folder. Once you have unlocked your bootloader, fastboot will work.
Plug your mobile into your pc.
Type
adb devices.
You should see the adb server start up then a serial number of your device.
Then type
adb reboot bootloader (wait a bit for the fastbootusb on the phone to show)
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7.img
This will flash the recovery. Boot into the recovery. When you choose to reboot, select system and it will give you an option to install su.
Your rooted.
if you prefer cwm its here

select your preference (touch or non touch).

You can always use TWRP first to get root, then load up CMW for rumrunner. I have used revone in the past (also got a One s-offed with JCard) so I havnt used rumrunner.
If you need CMW after TWRP then just repeat the instructions above but use the CMW file name instead. You wont need to re root.

I originally had CWM recovery on there and wanted to use the TWRP recovery instead since it had the HTC dumblock on there, which helped out before. While my phone was in it current condition, I downloaded TWRP and flashed it into my HTC ONE. I know I must have done so wrongfully because now when I try to go into recovery... it freezes during "entering recovery" and reboots into boot loop.
from bootloader open a cmd window and type
fastboot erase cache
See if that helps

I've made that attempt already. But the strange thing is that it executes the command, but if used again it will give me a list of blocks and inods or something like that. But I will try the command and reboot the system. Ill update with the outcome.
ogmless collection
Okay I erased the cache, it confirmed the command. I rebooted and of course it was in boot loop. I entered bootloader, then to recovery... and the same problem persisted.

You can try This see if it will get you up and running
Just make sure when you get to the part where you push to rom to your phone make sure you use a 4.4.2 rom or your phone may not boot.
What version of twrp did you flash?

Okay so I went through and followed the steps... good news is that it fixed my recovery problem I had and now I can enter twrp. Now TWRP is telling me that I have no OS system. So if I install a ROM, will I be good?

Yeah just adb push a 4.4.2 rom to your phone
adb is not detecting my device so I am unable to push files.

Try this to get the drivers installed properly
(If you are using Windows 8.1 this will most likely not work)
On your PC go to device manager and find your phone(usually M7WLS), right click and select properties
Select the driver tab
Select update driver
Select browse my comp
Let me pick
Look for ADB USB device or similar should be one of the first couple choices
Select MyHTC install and you should be good

Yes, I am running Windows 8.1.

That only applies to fastboot you should be fine.
You should be fine in fastboot also.

So what would you suggest I do from here. Again, my USER name says it all. I'm about to give up and go to sprint and ask them to do whatever it is that they can do for my phone.

Not sure how adb was prior to this past week but I would agree that fastboot works great. Its the only thing that has worked or else I wouldn't have messed up my own phone.

Adb has always worked fine for me. However, in twrp there should be an option to mount, I've had to use this on my one x to load a Rom (and boot.img, since I was also s-on) onto my sd.
I flashed the Rom in twrp, reboot to bootloader then fastboot flashed the boot.img

Yeah, my adb isn't working and hasn't been working from day one. I'm sure I'm just missing the fact that I cant debug my phone because it's in boot loop. But one more step left to see if everything I've learn in the past week pays off.
