Hi everyone. My TX sometimes holds for a couple os seconds then vibrates and shows a message "what app to use?". I sent it once to my email and there were a screenshot and a log file. So I guess it tries to send a bugreport but doesn't know how. Has anyone experienced this or is this just my phone? And if there's no cure from this where to sen these bugreports? Thanks.

Oes anyone experience the same ?

If you accidently press Power key, Vol+ and Vol- at the same time, the phone will generate a bug report and ask you to send it. I think that's why you came across such a dialog. It must be a handy feature for developers when they are hunting for bugs but seems little use for average users...from my perspective you don't need to care about it if you didn't trigger it on purpose...

Hi,
Sometimes i don't feel like picking up the phone while at work, so if i keep disconnecting the phone of the people calling me at that time.
So, my question to you is can there be some application or changes in settings which can enable my phone to deliver/give some messages like " The line cannot be connected" or something like that and at the same time i get to knw the details of the person trying to connect. is that possible? If yes, i would be highly grateful.
Aiplane mode maybe?? But you will not get the details of those who called you

I want something similar to an answering machine system , just like the operators notify you when a phone is busy or switched off.
If you have it in airplane mode for those who Call you is just like you have it switched off, so it will tell them that is switched off
Edit:I don't know any app, sorry, maybe someone else..

No , I would like to send the message to only some specific contacts. Also , I want to give them the "unreachable" message
I installed XDA App.
It gets closed on pressing the back button. Also, when I reply to any thread, it gets crashed.
I am currently on CM9 nightly build ROM. ICS 4.0.4

Are you tapping it, or holding it? You might have a setting checked for "Hold back to quit". That's all I can think of.

No, just clicking on the back button once.
Same thing still happens to me. Say if I go into a thread, and then want to go back to where I started, it seems like it will kill the application if it's more than two back. And no, it's not the "long press back kills app" function. Maybe there's a better easy to navigate than pushing back that I haven't discovered.
It happens to me too but in many different apps. It seems like it's am android thing. Even then I go to messaging, it'll open in my last message and then I hit back to view all messages and it closes.

There is a button in top left for back in messages that is why it exits out

Hi folks.
I just picked up my Xperia Z today which has fiat released. I went home and started using it. After some hours use, I put it in the dock that came with the device.
At this point my phone started showing a video with some blinking colorful text appearing. Just like a commercialfor the phone. I took it out of the dock and suddenly my "desktop" was reset back to factory default. I have had this happeninga few times, both ind the dock, after "locking" the device, and while playing YouTube videos.
Am I the only one experiencing this? And does anyone have a solution?
Best regards
Me

i hear it for the first time
u use dock to charge but it automatically play demo and u cannot stop it !
then u take it from the dock and ur phone reset to factory mode !
r u sure u didn install something or anything to unlock or root
Or better to ask what did u do in few hrs u used it?!
I think u got a demonstration phone for retails only.
It show demos when nobody is using it at the retail or shop.
And reset after playing with it, so next customer can play with like New XZ
Just make sure

Sv: Xperia Z does a sort of a reset
Yeah. I read through quite some forum posts and it seems that what caused my problem was some "sample_demo" app that was running.
I just has to clear data for this and I haven't had a problem since.
I haven't rooted my device yet since I don't see a real use for it as I did with my HTC Desire. As for now I'm going to stay with stock, but in the future I might root it.
Thanks for the help btw.

Okay.. After this night while my phone was recharging it suddenly started running the retail demo again. I found two retail apps in the running apps list which I force closed and one of them was deactivated.
Is there some way I can remove them completely? I know of ADB and have own an old HTC Desire which I had rooted and etc.
My XZ is not yet rooted..

The setup for the TV App has become corrupted (nobody here can tell you why)
You can go into Apps-> Sense TV (& TV) -> Force Stop & Clear Data
Reboot and try again
I get that first error message also. Don't know what's going on everything else works.

I have three gmail accounts which I have configured on the Samsung Email app, but one gmail account doesn't sync. No matter how many times I turn on sync for that particular gmail account, it turns itself off. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Try clearing/resetting the data for that app or email account in settings/application manager.

No you are not the only one. The stock email app is a very poorly written app. I reset, cleared data many times. The same thing. Automatic push will work for the first hour or so, then, never managed to pull emails in a timely manner. I get random push, but when I check the time code, they are anywhere from 30 min to 3 hours late. GMAIL works as it should.
Either switch over to gmail or try K9. Works much better.
Any other comments? I would like to keep using Samsung Email app.

It's always been checked, and I still run into the issue.

Delete the account or use gmail. It's obviously a problem with the junk app if you have all the options set to where they would go. Also when you post try waiting up to a week until you bump it. People will still see your post.

Err...
I know this post is a million years old but I just could not help commenting on it. It is response to post like this that makes the internet such a crappy place to be.
If you do not know the answer, please help find the answer. Even if it is obvious to you, it might not be obvious to us all.
If you do not know the answer, please stop saying, "Oh, its a crap program. Go use something else" It just mean that you don't know the answer and just want to be a troll.
Be more constructive and say, "Oh, its a crap program because..." < INSERT YOUR OPINION ON WHY ITS A CRAP PROGRAM > "...but if you really want to use it, you would need to..." < INSERT INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO RESOLVE ISSUE ASKED BY THE OP >
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Everyone has a opinion. Where is your fact to back it up?
In any case, to those that comes here looking for the answer to the OP question:
Hit the <Home> button if not already there.
Hit the <Menu> button.
Select <Setting>.
If you have muti-tab menus in Setting, select <Connections>
Scroll down to <Data usage>, if needed.
Hit the <Menu> button.
Click on <Auto sync data>, to check mark it as on.
Hit the <Home> button, again.
Select the email app and sync.
If that doesn't do it for you, its because the email app is crap
