Want to purchase a Smartphone (Xolo 1500s) previously using nokia 603 . As we all know that nokia has already announced that they will stop Symbian support from 2014 starting. Actually this is my first Smartphone...Stuck between this Xolo a500s and nokia 520. Which should I buy. ? If you are suggesting Xolo then please tell about its advantages and disadvantages.... Remember this will be my first Smartphone....THANK YOU

As I said to some one else, if you really want android... just sell the phone and buy any HTC with android on it... there's a LOT or custom roms for HTC android devices to fit your taste...

Bootloader protection blocks all the possibilities of any Android ROM running on a WP7 device... yes the HD2 has the same basic hardware as the HD7, but they don't share the same logic, nor the same OS or bootloader.
I just want to see this "request" on any WP8 device, that would make my day...

are a holder of dual lg optimus p990 . for those unfamiliar with the history of this smartphone , was the first to mount a tegra 2 dual core 1ghz with 512 mb of ram. the phone has been poorly supported by the parent LG, so much so that the owners of this smartphone (including myself) would like to thank first and foremost the community of XDA developers for the great support provided to this device rom, kernel and recovery. I go straight to the point : after so many experiences between rom , kernel, and so on. I was wondering if it was possible to install windows phone 7.8 on the dual , it lacked the open source drivers . I ask for help to those who know better than I do and have done wonders with the HTC HD2 ... I really want to be beta testers to be able to get on my dual windows phone 7.8 ... you can install it with a modified bootloader , or on the microSD ?
P.S. if the thread is placed in the wrong place , I apologize to the moderators , because I had no idea where to post it ...

I just converted to Windows phone platform as I previously used a LG G3 Andorid device. I used xda developers alot to Mod my device such as Root Access, Unlock Bootloader, Custom Recovery and install Roms and Kernels.
My question is - Is there the same sort of things for the Windows phone? This forum for Windows 8 isn't as straight forward due to different devices that are all in the one forum " Windows Phone 8 Development and Hacking "..
Could someone point me in the right direction where I may use some developer tools to unlock bootloader etc or install kernels to MOD my Lumia 930? Or is there such thing?

It's not about the attention these forums get, it's more about all the guys are literally tired answering questions like these ( no pun intended ) .
So basically for now it's a "NO" for all your questions, you can't unlock ( i mean filesystem access ) your phone, and surely can't modify the bootloader, in this aspect WP is not like Android, it's focused on security ( enterprise in mind ).

Also, as per the rules, please don't bump your thread more than once per 24 hours. 12 hours may seem like a long time to wait for an answer but it's still annoying when people do that. The WP community is a lot smaller than the Android community. On the other hand, as VSparxx points out, you could have had your answer easily with a little research. Currently, hacks for WP8 devices without SD cards are extremely limited. Samsung and Huawei have sort-of-custom ROMs (only limited modifications possible); HTC and Nokia don't even have that.
