Poetic Invictus - G2 Accessories

I recieved my Poetic invictus case yesterday along with my Ringke slim case. The invictus is a hybrid style case with a built in kickstand. The case feels really good in your hands and although it does add some bulk the way the case is designed it doesn't feel like it. The edges of the case come right up to the sides so it will not affect any screen protectors. One main feature that caught my attention with this case it's the button covers, they have really really good feedback just as if there was no case and don't require lots of pressure. Unfortunately with me the one con about this case it's the uncovered top corner, it just makes the case feel incomplete.

Yeah that's right but I guess in the international version on the top right corner they have a spot for maybe a lanyard string or antenna. So because of that case companies are leaving the corner exposed.

supposedly the Korean version has an antenna there

Otterbox defender screen protector!

We all know it's defective, I removed, I put my own, but now the case is a little too flexible? Anybody have a fix for this? And when revision 2 ever comes out, will we get a chance to exchange ours?
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda app-developers app
Where the protector was actually glued to the plastic top housing piece, use a thin strip of foam tape (preferably 3m) all the way around about a 1/10th of an inch from the edge. The foam will sit between the top piece of the case and your phone.
Basically you are replacing the thickness of the glue + screen protector that helped keep the case nice and tight. It also helps to keep dust out of the case.
Even if the foam tape is 1/4 of a inch thick, it has a lot of give when pressed.
Thanks for help, appreciate it!

What is the cutting down the button nonsense? Mine works fine.
The screen protector works no differently than they did before or than that on the lifeproof...not getting all of the complaints. ..if one chooses to remove it so be it.. not really validation for the complaint imo

some users report the button sticking and to fix it you can cut down the material, probably isnt a problem with everyone.
My power button was fine. I just didn't like the gap between the screen protector. Felt weird. I had the phantom case for the s3 and it didn't have that. But we all can't get what we want.

I wouldn't remove the screen protector on the Otterbox Defender, although the pressure sensitivity of the S-pen is highly questionable.

I recommend this case great and adds no bulk to note 2 i give it a 10 out of 10

I purchased this case on ebay great price free shipping phone looks good protects note 2 just fine it doesnt make bulky heres link to purchase and pics http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=281028003729

This case is only good for protection from scratches. While using this case I dropped my Note 2 from 2 feet onto pavement and the screen cracked. The case is great if you want something very slim but I wouldn't trust it for drop protection. The casemate tough case is also very slim but provides 10 times more protection.

I only use this case for after work during work i use a otterbox commuter

Yep, read another post with someone dropping their phone using this case and it shattered the screen. It's slim and protects from scratches, but next to nothing drop protection.
+1 for Case-Mate Tough as one of the slimmest cases with a drop protection on par with other cases twice of it's thickness.
awesome!
I just like this case cause phone still looks sexy with it and im pretty carefull with my phones but i do construction work so otterbox comnuter goes on at work

I have the aluminum button from spigen over the home button for that very reason.
Back to this case to be honest I didn't even think it looked all that great. The back is an absolute grease and finger print magnet.
After getting my phone replaced I tried out the seidio surface case (which I liked, good kickstand) before finally settling on the casemate tough case. It seems to be the perfect marriage of slimness and protection. Although I'm probably going to order the seidio convert case add on for the surface case I already own for those trips where I might want additional protection.

It comes in 3 colors for 10 bucks. Actually the black and silver look very nice, much better than stock and I actually prefer the tactile feel. It has a very nice metallic spiral design. I was concerned about the button moving around but after 3 weeks so far the adhesive is very good. I'd recommend it especially if you have a Verizon note 2.

I had a slim case on my N2 once, a Nilkin one but pretty much the same design as this one.
Then I dropped my phone whilst getting out the car, and now I have a dirty great big crack across the bottom of my screen. No insurance...
Now I have my phone in an Otterbox, with a film screen protector to hopefully stop the crack getting worse. I has a very big sad.
Do yourself a favour, avoid slim cases as they're worse than useless. They give a false sense of security that WILL be shattered, along with your screen, when you drop it. If you're going for a case, get something that PROTECTS!
That's exactly what I just wrote in another thread for Case-Mate Tough. If you want a super slim case, great grip, and durable corner protection to give you a piece of mind - there is no better choice but Tough case.

Does it cover edge to edge?
I can't open the pictures for some reason.
Also, does it really feel like glass? What's the texture like?

The screen protector is very thick and feels just like it's not even on there. It does not cover edge to edge, has plenty of room for a case. I to recommend this screen protector.

Just got mine in today, ordered on Wednesday.
I'm surprised that it came with 3 instead of the 2 that's advertised.
I also like that it doesn't cover the front sensors
I'll see if I have enough time to put one on today. Hopefully it fits with the diztronic.

How does this protector feel? Does it feel plasticy or more like glass?
I'm curious to know as well
Okay so I just put this on my phone.
I'm hating how LG design the curved edges of the screen right now.
I have the oleophobic ones and they are cut out correctly for the phone, but **** man. You have to be a surgeon to not have any bubbling edges, and that's due to the curved edges of the screen.
I managed to get mine in with only a bit of the top bubbling up, but it doesn't worry me as my hopefully prevents it from coming up.
The Diztronic fits good with the screen protector and doesn't post the edges up.
It feels a bit sticky, but that is something common for the first few days. I'll report back after I get the stickiness off the protector
Clarity is great, screen looks pretty much the same as before.
My only gripe with the screen protector is that there's a bubble that isn't any dust that is on the bottom right of the screen. I'm hoping it goes away after some use and settling.
Edit: I forgot to mention that it doesn't cover any sensors, so there's not problem with knock on/off.
Also, after some use the stickiness is already coming off and it now feels much smoother.

So far the feel is in between glass and plastic. It feels much better than plain plastic, but sometimes gets the squeakiness of plastic when your finger is sliding around

Just got mine in today. I can now swype with a clean screen! The bare glass is a bit sticky for swyping but this screen protector is great.
After a day I take back the stickyness. Its very close to bare glass. After a little greasing up she's slick but after a good cleaning its hard to swype because the finger sticks.
I'll be sticking with it for sure though because it fits very good with my DualPro and TPU case. No it doesn't cover the curved edges but I think my case would peel back a screen protector like that.
I really love the feeling of the G2s screen and hate putting on a screen protector but this one is as close as I'll get to that silky feeling I think.
how is the protector holding up ?
i was about to order the pure crystal one

Got Bored from the Slippy Grip_Note2_N7100

Hi everybody,
Here you can post your experience about the slippy grip of your mobile (especially N7100), and how you've got rid of it; either with using special casing or without using any casing.
Thanks for your participation.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I didn't. The Note 2 needs to be slippery for me so it can slip into my pocket.
I tried to use casing, but itmakes mobile looks bigger, also I removed the chrome from the bezel thinking it will help, although it looks more fun to me but still very slippery. I'm searching here and there, the only reasonable solution is to replace the battery cover with one like Note3 battery cover, but it's not available in markets in my country, I have to go through ebay or amazon

If you're willing to try; you could spray it with Plasti-Dip http://www.plastidip.com/
It will give your phone a rubbery/grippy feel, but is easily removed if needed.
You could either spray the battery cover with it, or also spray the bezel as well for ultimate grip.
I use an Imak Cowboy shell case; it has a really nice/grippy texture and adds very little bulk to the phone. You can pick them up for $10 on eBay.

I find the Ringke Slim case adds a nice level of grip, or rather adds a non slippery surface that's grippy enough. It still slips effortlessly in and out of my pocket. Also it really doesn't add any bulk at all. Try a search and I'm sure you'll see some photos.

Scotch Brite scouring pad might do it.
I recall people using that method to give a 'matte' appearance to the GS2 plastic bezel.

A great slim case

Nillikin make very slim cases. Have used on a number of devices. Got mine today for the g2. Gives it some grip without adding bulk.
