[Q] Debrand after s-off on hboot 1.54 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I have a Vodafone branded HTC One from Germany, all stock, and i have just gained s-off and change cid to super cid. My questions is; which stock RUU should i use for debranding (im from Denmark)? Is it okay to install the older firmware 1.28.401.7 when i now have 2.24.161.1, and are there some consequences of doing that? Im thinking about to get acces to the bootloader and change my cid back afterwards.
And final question, should i lock the bootloader before flashing?
Thanks.
Regards.

[Q] UK OTA after changing CID to HTC__Y13 to receive early update.

I'm in the UK & have a sim free HTC One.
So I changed my CID to HTC__Y13 to enable me to get the 4.2.2 OTA early then changed it back to HTC__001 & sadly used Revone to S-ON again. I have no English (United Kingdom) setting in the system language, probably because the update wasn't meant for a uk phone, so my thought was to go back to the 1.28.401.7 RUU then update properly now the UK OTA is out. Obviously I can't do this because I have a 1.54 hboot & can't S-OFF again to flash the RUU.
What method can I use to be able to downgrade the hboot to 1.44, S-OFF & flash the 1.28 RUU? Can I unlock bootloader via HTCDev, flash a custom rom with a 1.44 hboot then go back to stock, lock bootloader, S-OFF then flash to RUU? I don't want to try this & wipe my phone if it won't work.
Anyone else figured a way to do it?
Cheers
Tim
From my understanding, there is no way of altering H-boot without S-off. I'm sure someone will cracking 1.55 in the future.

This is correct.
The update WAS for your phone, if a phone is x.xx.401.x in the UK and x.xx.401.x in the Netherlands they get the same OTA
Can you still change your CID? I read someone who lost S-Off but was still able to change to superCID (11111111)

If you aren't afraid to experiment.
That is simple for information, when my phone had leaked 2.17.401.1 ROM from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224752
and
firmware from 2.17.401.1 RUU
from here (second post)

My phone had HBOOT 1.54 and I without problems received S-OFF using alternate revone binary v0.2.1-wlj.
So , you can try this way
1) Unlock booloader
2) Flash latest custom recovery (I had TWRP)
3) Make nandroid backup your system
4) Flash 2.17.401.1 ROM
5) Try to get S-OFF using revone v0.2.1-wlj
I DO NOT guarantee success! If you do it, it is your risk!

[q] ruu 1.29.901.2

Hi every one, i bought my htc one from italian carrier Tim and i have Cid TIM_401 i updated to 4.2.2 as soon as i powered on my phone and now i want to get back to 4.1.2 to s-off my hboot...is there a way to find the RUU of my CID? it is RUU 1.29.901.2 CID TIM_401.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation
anyone please i need these ruu
You can't go back without being S-OFF so the RUU is useless. You will have to wait and see if they can exploit 1.54 to get S-OFF

[Q] How to root and unlock bootloader?

Hey, i have a little problem, my phone is vodafone branded (germany) and i want to root it. Hboot is on 1.54, so i have to downgrade it, but there isn't one RUU for my vodaphone branded htc one. (CID is vodap102, Versionnumber 161 or something like that)
How can i downgrade my phone? Using HTCUnlock could work but i read that you can't undo the bootloader lock (it will say "relocked"). and i wanted to keep my warranty. Any ideas?

do you already have s-off? you would need s-off to be able to downgrade your hboot. but with 1.54 you can't achieve s-off. so there's no chance for you to flash an older RUU than 1.54 if you're not already s-off, and we don't have any 1.54 RUU's yet.
if you decide to unlock via htc, here's a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618

Brief description: Well if you completely want to modify your phone, you'll need to use rumrunner to get S-Off (that includes unlocking the phone, and other prerequisites for rumrunner)
Once you're S-Off you can change your CID to something more universal such as HTC__001 and use a full RUU (exe) to downgrade to complete WWE stock, and start receiving OTAs to the latest available (depending on which CID and RUU you end up using).
Thanks for your respond

Once you have s-off, you can remove TAMPERED using revone or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477792
and you can even LOCK (as opposed to RELOCKED) using revone or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475914
and once you run the official RUU (exe) even the red text "this is a development device bla bla bla" should go away.

[Q] Question regarding repairs...

Ok so I bought my phone from O2 so it was completely stock and CID was O2___001. I s-off'd using rumrunner, then downgraded my hboot to stock 1.44 and ran revone to remove tampered and 're lock boot loader. I changed my CID to HTC__032 and flashed a RUU to subsequently update to sense 5.5 and the latest firmware. The hboot has not been flashed with a modified version as I didn't get the red text after downgrading and then running revone and RUU
My question is if I send my phone into HTC for repairs in the future should I keep the phone as is or try and revert to stock O2? The phone is now purely stock and unbranded. I prefer HTC repair to O2 anyway. The bootloader reads locked and it's s-off
Thanks!
Anyone ? Better to stay unbranded and full stock or carrier branded full stock for repairs? Can HTC know my phone was carrier branded originally?
