[Theme] Frost for AOSP Rom

so im new to the whole developing thing but i did make a tweaked version of frost using various parts of other themes that works with the aosp magic rom. if anyone wants to try it out let me know. i will be sure to give credit where its due once i compile a list of all the people involved in making the orginals.i will also add that the only actual editing of any sort that i did was of the services.jar to make the foont on the notifications bar white instead of black.
(I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone.)

Don't include setCPU. The developer has asked for it not to be distributed in roms and/or themes.
Just giving you a heads up.

Post a copy.. I like it, i'll try it out. I have been looking for a clear notification bar with the black type of theme.

I downloaded the theme and like it alot. A couple of suggestions to make it better though:
-When downloading apps the font is black on gray and is really hard to read, if it was white it would be much better
-I'd love to see the stock lockscreen thrown in the ROM if possible
-The green font is kind of neat in the menus but, having the green text entry box limits your theming options

I will take a look at these things and see if I can make those changes. Probably won't be until tomorrows though. Kinda busy...

This makes the AOSP look fantastic!
Three issues:
- The bold seems to be forced to non-bold, as an app I have which normally lists unread in bold and read in non-bold, which now lists ALL entries in non-bold, now.
- The green subtext in settings is tough to read and detracts from the larger white titles, as they are now non-bold. A grey would be better served instead of green, and re-bold the text.
- The download notification text is black and is nearly hidden. Making it white or light grey is best, here.
Thanks for making the AOSP ROM look less like a 1994 era HTML page and more like a modern UI

This is especially annoying in Gmail since new emails are shown in bold. Also the stock lockscreen can be found over in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793479&highlight=deodex. It works fine since ASOP magic is already deodexed.

it is more than likely the font that i have installed im going to start taking a look at all these other things right now. probably have an update and/or another zip for the stock font tonight. thanks for all the input btw. considering this is my first attempt at anything im glad to see that for the most part it is liked.

Any updates coming soon? I'd love to keep this theme, but the lack of bold is killing me

I have a flashable zip i made for someone a while back with just the stock font if you want to use it in the meantime. It will give you back bold.

Frost with bold and no extra apps
I love this Frost theme, but hated losing bold and had no use for the added apps included, so I made a stripped down version with bold support.
Contains:
FONT: Zegoe (Light and normal) font -- so bold is less bold and normal is really light, taking up less pixel space per character
No extra apps
Original Frost theming changes
Simply flash through recovery as always

I have had a request for white. I may put up a poll here and see what colors come out on top and theme those. IDK I just threw this theme together so you had a choice and didn't have to give up serendipity to get some other colors.

white would be great! Actually, a white theme makes it easier to pair with wallpapers/icons and such.

White sounds pretty cool. I commented earlier about how adding a custom battery or dialer removes the whole theme. There is an awesome dialer that has most of the main colors you want, including red. Maybe this can be incorporated into the theme:

flashing that dialer will not remove the entire theme. I don't really want to incorporate someone elses work. I will eventually re write the kitchen to allow for battery mods.

You're right. I must have been flashing the battery mod at the same time as the dialer. I just got the dialer to work. I understand not using other people's work. Appreciate the replies though.

Is there any way w can change the color of the sms app icon and thw phone and internet button on the launcher you red as well? I'm guessing you're working on a red version of the swype keyboard as well.

I don't want to ask about progressing this theme, as in some more red. Or ask about possible other colors, but I agree that a white/other neutral color would be a little more universal. I know you and Mikey like to keep it all original though
Anyway, I love this ROM and even more-so now with the REDROM

I'd vote for a white theme also.

[REQ] Dark Themed Facebook v1.6.3

If any one knows how, could you please make a dark version of the new facebook for android app. The one I have been using that is dark came with EF3.6 in the extras. I'd like an identical one but for the new version of facebook.

I had the other 1.6.1 version, but i want the newest version of the app just with the dark theme identical to the ef3.6 dark one. it is awesome.

In my continued search for this i found the following Inverted Facebook App.

theme awesome but stupid facebook devs are redirecting the NEWS FEED part somewhere else and then that part displays in white. No fix yet. Damn facebook devs. I'm going back to the orig version that came with EF3.6 till this gets fixed. I'd rather have some bug and keep my damn theme then deal with this crap.

Looks pretty nice, imo.
Maybe make a second one, with the only mod being a white background, the white text at the conversation list isn't easy to read with the multi-color stripes.

Would you be able to change the bubble color in the conversion to the peach color (that's on the top right hand corner) and the ICS blue color?

I tried a lot of combinations for the bubble colors and the current setup was the most satisfying but ill try what you said and see how it goes

lol i see the resemblance but its ok, no one in the market seemed to like their theme

there is huge difference in xda version and paid version like more apps google ,Magisk more icons of settings,statusBar icon etc..

If you are using pie with root you need to install substratum or substratum lite
then install theme..
If you need help google it how to use substratum
