Hello!So I will start.So I bought my phone on February.I started flashing custom rom after 2 or 3 days after I bought this phone.first time I tried to flash old ace cyanogenmod so after I realised that I have new ace I flashed Ace I Sure 5.0.0(Its my favorite rom) of course I have flashed many roms like razodroid.but know I have latest Ace I Sure with xperia theme

first when i got this phone april 2012, nothing was wrong. stock unroot. then when a year passed, noticed the device became heavy. like internal storage only 30mb remains. i was in shock. after that i immediately looking for a way to free my internal storage. read n read, a friend suggests an xda dev. so i found rooting. then all i heard is jellyblast lol. then a bit bug here and there, banned rom, decided to move on to another rom. Mindcr catches my eyes very well. then simplicity+ripple. Excalibur, then sgs3 by sniper killer, then extrim.back to simplicity to test cosmic v2 which is cool then back to sniper killer's TW 7.0+cronmod
first my phone isnt ace i but another bcm21553 phone mini i(s5570i) so i think i can post mine history too ive bought this phone at june 2012 n used stock rom for 1.5-2 months then ive seen xda n started to flashing roms i was flashed repencis first n used it for 1 months then ive seen that my phone has the same chipset as sgy so ive started to port n using sgy roms i was flashed many roms n now im using cm7 by biel since july n im happy with it btw i think title should be "[discussion] your rom history".

hey,
i'm running android 4.2.1. unfortunately i forgot which rom... anyways. i feel like jelly bean is too laggy for me so i thought about going back to ics. my question is: how do i do that? should i just flash an ics rom via cwm or do i have to run a specific protocoll?

You can see what ROM you have in Settings --> About.
I think it's like a common clear/clean ROM flash, where you have to clear chache, data, dalvik, ...?
And always hit the "Thanks" button ;DD

you should backup your whole sdcard
as while downgrading to ics usually the internal sdcard gets formatted

Just take a look at your ICS Rom page
i agree that u should backp your internal sd card as there is a POSSIBILITY that your SD card gets formatted so as I advice dont take the risk and backup ALL your SD card

Before you revert back give hellybean a try first i have tried 90% of the jellybean ROMs for our device and it I'd in my opinion the quickest and smoothest jb experience

Good to know you got your phone running smoother now. I'm just wondering why you experienced lag in C-RoM Mix v5 which is also based on Hellybean sources.
I previously used this C-RoM Mix v5 and i found it very fast and smooth.
Anyway, enjoy with your new Rom.
i have a stock rom from samsung 2.3.6 for galaxy mini gt-s5570
when i turn on the wifi many times it have error and to turn it on again should restart my phone any solution ????
Change rom, any cus rom helps. Its a stock rom issue, i asked for solution on official samsung forum and they just said 'maybe its because some of ur used acces points has got a special character like @#€%& inside...'.

Samsung forum always give a frickin' answer. I have this issue before, when i have stock Gingerbread 2.3.4, althrough the WiFi doesn't have password (free wifi ), the WiFi won't connect.
Well, solved by installing CM9 (the old one with camera bugs, lags, etc). Installing CM7.2 also helps !
Hi! Now im owner of a s5830 because my SIII mini screen is broken.... I installed A LOT of clean cyanogenmods, but when i install Whatsapp, I DON'T KNOW, but when i put my number, whatsapp charge the old mobile owner chats, and only my group chats. When i changed from a Nokia N8 to my S3, i had no problem, but, now? Why? On Xperia X10 Mini it's the same, the old owner doesnt have whatsapp, so whatsapp only charged my group chats....
(Sorry my bad english, im spanish!)
Anyone knows what happened? The last time i installed whatsapp on my s3 mini say me "charged 18.xxx messages", where are my chats?
I wiped data, factory reset, factory reset on SO and on CWM, wipe cache, dalvik cache, and format /system. It's IMPOSSIBLE!

So you want your old chats from your s3 to the ace? Did I understand you right?
If it's so then backup whatsapp with Titanium Backup and restore it on your ace.

Yes! But i havent screen on s3 mini, so i cant use it.... But I succeeded!
I copied my old chats from s3 mini on the SD of the S3 (conecting it by Usb to Pc) to my sd of Ace, so when i installed Whatsapp on Ace, Ace says "exist a security copy of..." So whatsapp charged all my chats!!

I know what u r asking we didn't get any official update or leak or rather sam never tried it its all because of processor no sources
and no we can't have 4.2 or 4.3 tw until some thing released by Samsung
but I can help you with launcher and some apps but not lockscreen or like perfect tw
here
for lockscreen install Galaxy locker from play store but it is inverted in effects

I was looking for a miui rom for my ace and found a thread for 5830/ace i/ace 2 or something like that.
Anyway, i flashed the bieltv3 #7 on my ace and it won't start up anymore. No bootloop, no cwm, nothing.
Any solutions?

I'm sorry to say that you have hard-bricked your phone. If your phone is still under warranty, then you can approach a Samsung Service Centre. I have already suggested few solution to a similar problem, but none of them worked. Not even USB Jig. You can refer those solutions here. Maybe it will work for you.
