Xposed Framework is compatibile with almost all rooted Androids devices from 4.1 onwards, however not all modules will be compatible with all phones - many are specifically for HTC or Samsung frameworks, and there are some specifically for Xperia's.
Xposed Framework does nothing on it's own, it simply allows for loading of Modules (most of which you can download from within the App itself), which in turn can customise virtually anything on the phone. Many are for notification/status/menu bar though yes.
One tip though: try (and configure) modules one at a time, activating multiple in one reboot is a good way to bootloop your device.
I'm using a rooted dual-recovery 14.1.G.2.257 Z1 with about 20 modules and everything is working great!

Xposed Modules Question

I started using Xposed modules a few weeks back but i now started messing with them for good but i have some questions.
Why i cant see or download a module that i say though it is compatible with my android version (JB 4.1.2) and my device
(This is the module http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2508709 )
(I might be wrong about the compatibility thing)
And last but not least i am dying to try XHalo Floating Window module http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419287
but for an unknown reason the damn thing wont work ...... i tried disabling all the modules but still i get nothing .
Thank you so much for any possible answer!
Not all modules work on all devices, even some modules are specific for heavily customized HTC and Samsung phones, other modules only work on AOSP - Vanilla and just a few are specific to Xperia phones.
Agree with post above,I have tried several others some worked but not fully others didn't work at all.
Many things affect it the main 1 being the ROM/stock theme.
remember you need to install module, then reboot, then change settings from module. I normally reboot again just to make sure the settings stick.
I have found the gravity box module the best to use as it gives slot of options.
If you have updated the xposed framework to latest edition you can download from with in the app.

Xposed - Someone installed it?

Just received my brand new Z3,but already feeling the itch for some customization.
Someone already tried playing around with xposed?
It is fully working or at least some features?
Thanks
After rooting/bootloader unlocking the phone, I installed Xposed. It works well. I use the following:
App Settings - I made systemUI (and most of my non-sony apps) 240 dpi.
GravityBox (smaller nav bar, orange icons, replacement battery, AM/PM removal, 3 dot on nav bar right, search on nav bar left.
Tinted Status bar
Xperia Xposed - installed but I decided not to use anything
Please note, per conversations on general, unlocking the bootloader will irreversibly worsen the camera's low-light picture quality and kill native miracasting/chromecasting ability linked to Sony's DRM keys
I'm using tons of Xposed modules and I couldn't live without it. It's one of the greatest pieces of software ever written and I'll stay away from Android L until Xposed works on it. i never felt the urge to use CM or another rom since I'm using Xposed, GravityBox alone is such a mighty module that it replaces a plethora of third party rom features.
It's really hard to live without Xposed after having it for so long on my Moto X. I'm just not willing to lose the camera quality by unlocking the BL. Of course, there are other things I'm itching to do as well with root (like freezing and deleting lots of useless apps that suck battery!)
I am using xposed with
- xstana module
- tinted status bar
- gravity box
Everything works perfectly!

I don't mind losing some of the camera quality either, I believe that people will either find a way to reverse the process, or make something better.
I'm just waiting till I can backup my TA partition.

I istalled Xposed and run xled, xquiet hours and cyan lock screen the lose of the cameras low light abilty is not a big problem i use camera fv5 and change the iso settings
So no way in hell to get root without unlocking the bootloader?
i was using pie controls from gravitybox with navbar disabled, but i found out that pie doesn't appear when using camera with physical button with phone in standby.... anyone can confirm this?
I use XBlast and Xposed LED Control.
Both works fine. What does NOT work is GravityBox. But why? Can someone help me?
When trying to start it, it says "GravityBox System Framework does not answer" in german. in english perhaps its something like "cant retrieve System Framework data" or something like that.
It doesn matter how often i try, always the same error message

You need to enable it in Module and restart phone. After that you can do what you want! In Download section, you can find more module with search filter by typing: xperia

I think gravity Box can not handle sonys ui. Had it before on lg g2 stock rom. Just some features worked. Keep in mind that gb is actually for vanilla kitkat(aosp, maybe cm)
GB worked fine for me on the Z1C, but eventually some features require a deodexed rom. I've always been using RomAur.

I did not mean you have to enable xposed installer. I said: you have to enable GravityKK module by tick the box, do nothing more, restart the phone first. After that you can config without any framework message error!
xposed works great
I using xposed for remote play (ps4)
and its workign great!

Yes and as i said, i used Xposed before. what i want to say with that is : I know how Xposed works and how to use it. I know that you have to "activate" modules with the checkbox.
still, GB won't work.

[Q] Can I install Xposed framework and GravityBox in my Galaxy Core II?

Hi, I bought a Samsung Galaxy Core II through my carrier's shop a week ago. I already rooted the phone. I'm also using Nova launcher 3.3 (latest), and everything else is stock. Core II came with Android 4.4.2 installed, carrier's version, but as I am a superuser, I've deleted a lot of useless stuff.
The question:
¿Can I install Xposed framework and GravityBox [KK] in this device?
This is what I'd install if someone here confirms that I can:
Xposed Installer 2.7 experimental1: http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
GravityBox [KK] 3.5.1: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ceco.kitkat.gravitybox
Is it OK?
I've noticed, reading GravityBox's thread, this:
Compatibility
- Supports AOSP devices running vanilla Android 4.4
- Supports Motorola Moto G Dual SIM running stock KitKat
- Supports ThL 5000 running stock KitKat and potentially other MediaTek devices running pure MediaTek ROMs
- DOES NOT support devices running ROMs vastly modified by device manufacturers (HTC Sense, Samsung Touchwiz, MIUI, LeWa, Xperia, ...)
- SHOULD NOT be used with custom ROMs like CM, AOSPA, RootBox, SlimBean and others - it makes no sense since the most of the features are already
in the ROM (may cause conflicts and unexpected behaviour)

Does that mean that if you have a Samsung, Xperia, HTC... mobile, GravityBox won't work due to compatibility issues?
My goal is to change the function of the volume buttons to only modify the volume of "Music, video, games and other media", in every situation, so it doesn't matter if I'm in the home screen, in YouTube App or using Chrome, always change the "Music, etc" volume, not Notification's one, or Ringtone's, or system's. So if I accidentally press volume up, the phone does not changes from Mute to Sound, or changes the volume of the ringtone, and all that stuff. They told me that I can accomplish that with GravityBox.
Thanks, hope someone here can help me out!
Yes you can i have the same device and i installed xposed and gravity box and both worked well

Wow, thank you. Installed and working nicely. How awesome is GravityBox!
on my core 2 it says ''xopsed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 19 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a).'' and so the install/update button is not highlighted.

Use the latest (v2.7 experimental1) Xposed.apk file from here.
Not compatible with core 2
I installedxxposed on core2 but it says not compatiblewith SDK 19. I installed a custom rom to make it run, but the rom was unstable so I had to go back to default Samsung core2 rom and now xposed is not working on the default Samsung rom. Amy way to make it run?

So you are running a KitKat ROM, right? You should use the Xposed v2.7 experimental1 from the Xposed repo.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Core 2 "SM-G355HN". There are other Samsung Galaxy Core 2 models that may behave different. It was very easy, though I did it long time ago, I don't remember well. I just followed the very simple and easy steps. First, I installed the Xposed framework, and then the module Gravity Box (for KitKat). But I don't remember the exact steps I did, sorry.
Same problem..framework wont update...bt i did it 1st time.. after uninstall it i cant update now...in galaxy core2..

my dear..............
ive searched solution for this problem because i already hv that problem you just download the old firmware of core 2 1 or two years back from sam mobile flash it root it again you will see xposed working im indeed a happy user of core 2 once again happy hacking......

[Q] should I try xposed for 2nd time???

I've karbonn s5+.first time when I install xposed it was running very well.but I installed 40+ modules & my phone stucked at android logo. Now I've factory reseted my phone. Can I install it now without problem
This bug must be about modules are clushing ır crossing i don't know which word can explain it, let me introduce you; for example you are using there module for status bar, they all trying to modify status bar but this situation causing excaption or something similar. I don't know i was wrote what was in my brain because my English is is little bit bad ?, so you can reinstall it but do not forget intalling that modules supporting lollipop.
Does xposed framework supported on mediatek like karbonn s5+. I searched about it and got
"Xposed framework is an AOSP framework for ARM devices. One of the things you can do with the framework is download a module that allows you to set DPI for any application. That allows you to choose tablet mode for an app, or simply make the text look more to your liking for anything, There are many other modules available."
If it work anyone's mediatek like karbonn titanium s5 plus then please tell me the procedure of making xprivacy module work on this device.

I have a Casper VIA V5 ,which have Meditek processor, and i am using it without any error, so i can say it's working like a charm?
Edit:Casper never given me any source code of phone, i wanted this from them to build my own CyanogenMod so i find Xposed for customizing firmware of my ROM. My phone has Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and Xposed which work perfect with its firmware

Most modules are not upgraded since ages ?
Yet the thread is posted as latest 2018 best modules ?
Tried all and mobile wont boot now.. lol..
I have results of latest modules displayed on the post, but not yet upgraded since ages.
Except greenfly or few.. Though listed..
Are these modules still safe to use with latest technology ?
Thanks,
Request reply from advanced person and request to pin after my reply.
I still love XDA but a question.
Noone on XDA team to reply same ?
ITs weird.. ?
Made other replies in respective topics..
But that is xposed and still xposed ?
UHHH..
It really depends on what Android version are you using.
Sometimes even if the modules are really old they still works.
You can try install them one by one, so if you end up in a bootloop you know exactly what module caused it.
In case of bootloop if you're using Xposed systemless just uninstall xposed module from recovey (with uninmod or magisk mm) and delete the xposed apps once it boots with xposed disabled
If you're using system version of xposed, browse from twrp to the modules folder and delete the module by hand
Or just search on xda, there are threads where people post which module works on each version of Android

Safe?? In general, yes. Module specific - no different than the day module was born.
Stability is a completely different animal with numerous variables in play using "latest technology". Do your homework; seek community input on modules in question. Know how to recover from module failures and bootloops. Maybe consider a backup; I heard they're a good idea.
