Good to know. I'll have to double check on that, thanks for the tip.

Any one else notice a pattern for all the reviews for this app.
"Thank you so much BlackBerry team. I was waiting this app. Its really great user friendly and smooth."
They are working with Google to remove these fake reviews
Oddly enough, I was able to sign up without getting the email by just putting my email into the app for a second time.

Bypass email or queue wait for BBM activation
Do not wait for Email confirmation/ or do not wait for blackberryto put you on the top of the queue. Simply use your friend's email address who has activated BBM. Then on screen 2 use your own email id to create new BB ID.

Got in today; the turnaround seems to only be a day or so. Now, to find others who are already here.......
Was trying to get my wife on this app; she has always said the one thing BB did right was the messaging app. Meanwhile, I did a fresh ROM install and now the app won't get past setup. Uninstalled....
Why does everyone want BBM what is the benefit of it over other means on android?
Dunno, none of my friends are on it so I already uninstalled

Let's support our XDA devs folks! I normally don't create threads for apps but this app is worth endorsing IMO. You can leave your phone at home, be at work and you'll still be able to send and receive text messages. It doesn't rely on blue tooth which I find useless because you have to have your phone near you to receive and send texts. Kind of defeats the purpose IMO. Its a quick download on both devices so if your not impressed (there's no reason you won't be impressed) you can get a refund after testing.
BTW. I don't know this guy and have never even spoken to him so this isn't me doing a favor for a friend. I'm just sharing a text messaging app that I find amazing. He's still working some bugs out, for instance you can't see texts you sent from your phone on your tablet (one of the first things he's gonna fix). I own a business and rely on my texts and this app is yet to let me down.
Give it a try folks!

Nice find. I didn't even know about AppGratis until now.
I got cerberus free a couple of years ago through a promo and it's incredible! Love the feature that it emails me a pic of whoever put in the wrong unlock code or pattern. I fully switched to cerberus and really put it on all of my devices and fiancé's phone after her phone got stolen. Lookout mobile security failed to do anything useful... Tested cerberus in the same area under same conditions with the replacement and it worked perfectly. Of course, haven't had to put it to any real use yet.

Has anyone successfully used their HTC One to pay for their purchase?
How does it work?
I tried to do it at different locations with a wireless card reader thing but it doesn't work for me... People just look at me funny when I try to pay using my phone lol

Exactly what finalhit said except you don't need to open wallet first. As long as the screen is unlocked, you can place the phone on the nfc spot of the checkout register.
You need to make sure you have nfc enabled in your phone settings though.

You should see a Google wallet logo on the pin pad if it accepts google wallet payments. The only place I've been to that uses google wallet is walgreens. I know other places accept it but haven't been to one yet.

Its faster to just unlock it before you tap it (While the cashier is scanning). The last thing you want to do is hold up the line

Actually just look for the "NFC" or "PayPass" logo, it will also work. Keep in mind that some places may not have it enabled or the antenna may be broken. I have used it at McDonalds, CVS, BP Gas Stations and 7Eleven Gas Stations without issue. Walgreens is installing them but they dont seem to be active yet

I've only ever used it at 7-Eleven (with a Nexus 7 no less) but it is slick as hell, not gonna lie. The cashier looked at me like I was from another planet, but it worked perfectly and it was pretty awesome haha. It's actually really convenient too, as long as you have NFC enabled you don't have to launch anything, just hover the phone/tablet over the terminal thingy and it will do the rest.
I used it a couple times, but after trying it... I find it much faster to just swipe my card instead of tapping it, entering pin. Still useful if I ever forget my actual wallet in the car or something, but it really isn't a time saver.

The nfc is in the camera right
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Not sure where it is on the One, on the N7 it's in the middle of the device on the back. And on the N7 it works through cases which is a nice bonus too, I imagine it's the same for other phones and devices (not that you'd want to cover up the sexy beast that is the One ). Really looking forward to my upgrade in a couple weeks so I can have a phone that's NFC-capable, using a tablet isn't quite as wieldy or convenient.

That would be because of the way computers keep time. The time on your machine is called from a base of 1/1/1970. That's when time starts for a computer. You can probably find a more detailed explanation on Google but that's the gist from my limited understanding on the matter. If you've cleared the cache for Google Services, it resets the last update checked to the date you saw as it is just before time starts.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
clearing Google Services Framework is not a good idea.. when you get ERROR retrieving information from server {RPC S-5: AEC -0 } in playstore , remove your Google account then add it again. You're welcome.
Let's face it.
Stop hiding from the truth.
Your phone is secretly a time dilation matrix.
Sometimes my SMS timestamps show 1969 too haha

Why is that? Apart from that play store issue, which also gets resolved.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Thats a timestamp=0 issue.
Tiemstamps are counted as seconds or milliseconds from 1.1.1970 ... which looks suspiciously close to 31.12.1969-
I actually received a blank email from 1969. When I logged on to my email account on PC, I found that it was a valid email from AT&T letting me know my bill was available for online viewing and payment.

With great respect only you can answer that. The online operating manual is now available for the Sony site. I would suggest you go read it and see if it will perform what you expect of a smart watch or not. Ones mans trash is another mans gold etc..........

The SMS and Email notifications work great on Gear.
Gmail and Facebook notifications need to work like the above two to be useful and they aren't yet.
Gear seriously needs a calculator app, including a tip calculation function. It's mind boggling that they didn't include one already.
It would also be nice to have a compass function but not sure whether it can support that or not.

its growing on me but it needs playstore access its so good but its bad. the speaker phone is unbelievable the viewing of text is great and this is the best s voice i ever used and i hate s voice, but the bad is the apps the apps is horrible. it needs three things 1. the ability to answer a text with a built in keyboard. 2. Play store access. 3. micro sd slot. If I could get 1 and 2 Ill be happy other than that Im probably going to return it based on google announcement on oct 31
