I have seen a lot of ads over the net, but the worst are those on download sites, today I was just about to fall for this on Dev-host (d-h.st) with this:

The ad does not say anything else, just a picture of a download button, and the link takes you to sharelive.net website. This is a very misleading ads, and should be removed from the internet and banned from putting such ads.
I am techie enough to know which is the correct button and not fall in their scam, what about others? they always fall in this scam and download adware/malware !!!

The two blue download buttons are obviously fake :sly:
If you fall for it, your deserve it. Techie or not, anybody who has been on the Internet longer then a minute will tell the blue download buttons are fake.

Hi All,
I discovered a good little app called the Decision Decider Lite that our lass uses because she can never make up her mind and the best thing is its free.
It's basically a simple app which you add choices in i.e get drunk or go to the gym or jump off a cliff. Then it chooses one for you. Pretty basic I know but for silly choices it can be useful for an indecisive person.
I'll upload screenshoots when I get home tonight.

I'd like to gather your opinion, what to you think about url shorteners (like http://goo.gl, or http://bitly.com/). From the one hand it is a good stuff to measure user clicks on stuff u post on forums / facebook / google+. But on the other hand, ppl dont know where the link can lead them.

Sometimes I do, but sometimes they're to bull**** ad sites that don't actually go to the link I want. I'm not overly skeptical of them, if it does end up being a bad link, I hit the back button, no harm done.
