washed color
Bump. I'm looking for an app like this too. The zooms color seems a little washed out for some reason....it needs to be more....vibrant!
Mine's just fine...they are somewhat variable.
There's an app call Color Filter settings, but it actually just adjusts the color, not the intensity or saturation.
In the video, they also turn it on and play with it a little.
I like when they play with it a little.
And hey... they back of his is white... they're not all white are they? I thought they were like a slate grey? Is there color options I'm not aware of or that's a special one just from the conference perhaps?

White attracts dirt anyways, we'll have the advantage with our grey/black ones
Long live the One X
When I first got my nexus the screen was a little washed away.. and then found out I can change them
Here are my values :
Red: 238
Green: 228
Blue: 240
I found this to be the best values and it honestly makes a difference. I'm not taking credit for it, just found it on some youtube video. So what are your values ? Share your personal opinion

I don't think changing RGB values makes a lot of difference, it does a little bit but there more important settings to adjust colours like gamma. But you can find all info here

Seems good settings
Google Voice via my r72 NeXusâ´ using XDA Premium
I don't mess directly with the RGB values, but I do use Trickster Mod Kernel Settings to switch the stock Google color presets to LG's stock color presets which I find much more vibrant and contrasty in a very good way.

I find LG is washed out too, just a little better. I found the PA contrasty preset best.

Seems good settings,try it,3KS
If you're on faux kernel then you should use this script I edited to make the colors amazing.
just edit the name of the file- remove the .txt then run it in system tuner terminal with su checked and you'll never look back

LG better?
Color to default but gamma modified. I use recommended settings of Franco's app. Pretty awesome.

Well, it's only a little better than Google's calibration.

googles was terrible, lg's is ok but still not optimal, from what i remember it looked cartoonish even.
Using franco kernel updater to tweak the misc. gammas from the Stock preset. Increased saturation (87), contrast (13), and brightness (13).
But not quite sure if I like that better, or if I prefer my tweaked version of franco recommended values...
I use faux with app and color pop preset on the matrix 8.5 which supports the faux mods

There was a post in the Franco thread that did an absolutely amazing job of modifying the colours using the Franco app, but sadly since the values in the app vs his post have changed, I kind of had to fudge it a bit. The blacks in the tuning tool don't show up like they should, but I'm okay with slightly muddy blacks as long as it all works out with the rest:
RGB each at 175
RB gamma:
Greys 0
Mids 55
Whites 7
Misc Gamma settings
Contrast 0
Brightness 0
Saturation 119
Colours pop and work very well for me. I'll be hanging on to this. just wish Photog would come up with an updated version.
I'm am using and have been using Carbon 1.6 ROM with the Trinity kernel and after messing around with colors for about a week, I finally found, to me, the correct settings. The blacks are black and the whites are white.
I changed the colors via Trickster app, found in the Nexus 4 "theme/apps" forum. FYI
Hope these settings helps those looking for some good colors.

Hey buddy! Glad to see that we have the same device.
Did you try the color settings I posted? If so, how do you like them?

I've recently installed a new kernel on my Nexus 4 with colour and gamma control, the difference in the screen is amazing, deep blacks and vibrant colours. But now my Touchpad looks very washed out colour wise. Does anyone know off a way to change this or if there are kernels out there with different settings,? I'm using Akop 4.2.2 by the way. Thanks.

There is currently no way to change gamma or contrast just yet. Changing RGB has been ported over to the N6 though Check the kernel threads for that.
