All i can find for my lg optimus 4X is nightly made JB 4.3 roms , any one know when will be the stable CyanogenMod version of JB 4.3 releases.?
Stable will most likely be when they shift focus to 4,4.
CM 10.2 is pretty much stable as-is in the nightlies now, flash one and try.
Official Vanir Rom from Nuclearmistake.
It for me fastest and stable 4.3 Rom.
Better than CM because on Cm i was having sometime lags.

what means stable ? even the stock rom 4.1.2 has lags , bugs, etc. most of custom roms in all xda are stable enough cm is stable , everything is stable. depends on the use and the needs. if i use a rom thats built for power save and play games all day then i will say its not stable -.- and if i do the other way around then ill say that i have huge battery drain for nothing. anyway. all are stable these days. everyone has done a great progress !
RIL-bug appears
I'm on nightly from the 26th and this bug appears frequently.
All data drops and the indicator goes blank, lately the only
fix is a reboot. Datadrops have been following this rom but seems to
accelarate. I will try latest nightly in a couple of hours.
Wi-fi works just fine.
Does these Roms contains Slug-zero? That is some kind of patch that
force the radio to keep up. It was build in by Quarx-rom for Motorola Defy

can you make phonecalls when connection drops? if not, check out my topic in general about using EPRJ RIL instead of default CM one.

Thanks. That seems great. A lot to figure out for a noob like me but I will try
But I decided to try to flash and test Kholks Rom, maybe just for a while until I read the TUT hard, to build some confidence up
Very sad that the CM-team doesn´t take this bug serious since it been there for a long time.
Thanks again

Hello all,
I have tried EVERY SINGLE ROM on my mini galaxy for the past 4 months.
They only stable rom I found without unwanted FC is the Minimod X final.
It is so hard to find a stable non-stock rom these day while everyone ports the CM7/9 rom and changes it in some way.
Have you thought about that the CM7/9 rom is not STABLE enough to build on it ?
I wish there will be other updated stable roms that does NOT based on the buggy CM7/9 roms

CM9 is in beta stage, not only for our device, but as an OS in general so no question about that. as for CM7, hmmm, it may be buggy for you but not for all. kittenlinux build's and mebitek's builds are pretty stable for me. Also, that is the essence of development, resolve all unwanted bugs.
Thanks for your reply Kitrax. When I'm talking about instability, I mean a FC few times a week in a moderate use of the phone. When you say pretty stable, Can you use the build for a week without a FC ? The only one that stood up to this to me is the Minimod X final......

Yeah, I can use these ROMs without FC for a week. Well, that would depend on the apps that are force closing on your phone.
have you tried MORe rom? it's stable for me...
and about cm7, I think that's because it isn't the final release...
Thanks again kitrax and droid,
I just installed the latest kittenlinux rom, Since kitrax said that it worked quite stable for him (I saw that meibtek's rom has still some gps problem which was fixed in kittenlinux's rom).
I hope that this rom with the latest full Gapps will work as stable as i expect a rom to work.

Of course! It's still on the beta stage!
I think the baseband version you are using do some different effect.
Some baseband isn't good to some custom ROM.
i've been using the CM 7.2 RC1 since yesterday and it is stable up to now.
I've installed all my programs (premotedroid, Circle battery wodget, Extreme alarm clock, 3g watchdog), And up to now it didnt gave me any FC.
Hope it'll keep working stable. Will let you know whats up.
Thank you folks for your help and insights
i like squad's ROM but the CMobile is buggy! Long time no see him to fix this! (on madteam)
talking about stable cm
didn't you tried official cm for tass
I've tried the official CM 7.2 that came out few weeks ago, But didn't found it stable.
Strange, I was using a lot of roms too, and I experienced bugs and fc's only on few of them... maybe You just expecting too much from this little device, especially when you get a lot of fc's even on stock rom...

Hi All
Now Cyanogen Team said they will stop working on CM9 and they release Stable version but when I went to check the Nightly ROM I found they still working on it.
Stable mean no bugs and Nightly under upgrading to become stable.
Why they release stable ROM.
Who will explain this?

As far as i understand... When the Nightlies become better and better the developers start a feature freeze. This means no new functions or crazy experiments - just bughunting! This is made in the RC (Release Candidate) builds. If everyone is satisfied with the RC builds, it is getting stable status.
The work on new nightlies is parallel to this process, i think!

Explain what? Explain the new nightlies?
No developer would throw ICS out of the window, just because JB hit the market. Look, there are still cm7-nightlies on cyanogen build machines!
Rush
You should keep in mind that some newer version might not work well even when the development has finished due to hardware limitations. So people might want to have the maximum working version on their devices. Hipothetically if Jelly bean won't work well on our devices, then atleast we'll have a bug free ICS rom.
Hi everyone in this forum,
Just a quick question, a friend of mine owns a SGS+ I9001 and he's running stock rom, I wanted to install a custom rom for him, (I know I'm not supposed to ask these kind of questions) which rom do you recommend me, it needs to be as stable, fast and battery friendly as possible, I hope you could help me, thank you very much before hand!
Have a nice one!

I'm using Ivendor's CM10 alpha 6 now. It works very well. But you should read in the SGS+ section what rom is the best for yourself. For myself Ivendor's CM10 is the best because I have now JB working on my phone like on a nexus device.
I agree that ivendor's Kernel are one of the most snappier ever so far.
Thank you guys, thank you very much, just another question, is ivendors CM10 stable enough for a person that knows very little about android to use as a daily driver? Thanks again!

NO, it's not perfectly stable, because it's an ALPHA release, however most of us use it as a daily ROM. One or two random reboots in one month, some minor freezes - I think it's worth it, the performance is outstanding, especially with some 3.x.x. kernels. Anyway, wait for RC version, if you want stock rom - like stability.
You could also try one of the CM9 releases. They've been around longer and are probably more stable than the CM10 ones.
I'm using arco's release (can be found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1650615) which has only very few quirks left. The only ones I run into sometimes are a problem with the compass (something strange is going on with the magnetic field sensor) and GMail / Facebook occasionally display only a white screen (which can be fixed by killing and restarting the app) (which can be mapped onto long-pressing the back button).
There's also ivendor's release, which has some other fixes but hasn't been updated for quite some time. There's also a number of remixes, an AOSP release by broodplank, AOKP, and MIUI.
Basicly, there's a list here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901212
The JB's are bound to have some bugs, don't flash them if you don't plan on updating as well. ICS is probably rather stable and most GB releases are probably stable as well.
Fastest: probably AOSP (so brood's release) and JB (project butter and all)
Most battery-friendly: GB
Stable: anything but JB

of course it's stable, but there are some bad parts about jellybean. first, the battery life isn't that great, and secondly, the ram management is awful (after installing facebook and whatsapp, as an example, you will only have about 40-50 mb free ram). i would recommend you to flash CyanAOSP v2.9.0 4.4.2 kitkat + semaphore kernel. it has great battery life, it's blazing fast, and the ram management is perfect (about 160mb free ram with facebook and whatsapp installed).
OK now since you talking about stability. SlimROMS are quite stable but there are better ROMs than slim ROMs such as Supernexus which I am currently using and seriously I haven't received a single bug. I am on KitKat version. Others are Mackay ROM, cyanogen mod latest nightly build, or cyanaosp which is good too. Even 4.3 was quite buggy.

Hi. Im trying many roms on our n7000 but ewery time i find any bugs and FC. Thats why I wana ask u guys about trully stable rom. Now im using miui veganence. Before that i have dirty unicorns and carbon rom or sweet rom. Even cm 11. All of this is slow for me and have small free ram like 160 - 80 mb.
I hope u can help me try some faster roms. Maybe something older?
PS sorry for my eng

You can try CM 10.1.3 or CM 9 if you want a Custom Rom.
For a Stock Rom I can suggest AryaROM v8 with some nice new Raw v1 Custom cernel from GeeckoDev

what do you think about CarbonRom? i just flashed it but got some errors, but i want to figure it out cause i think this ROM is pretty light and smooth.. (from the review i read)
It's a hit and miss actually IMO. I found CarbonROM to be pretty stable for me. You just have to try i guess, because finding a "truly, perfectly stable" ROM is impossible. Every ROM has its ups and downs, so does with the bugs and stability. Choose which ROM suits you best, and try them for some time. If it crashes/you suddenly hate it etc. then find another ROM or maybe another version of the former ROM. Trust me, It's a bit of pain in the arse at first but it's worth it in the end.
ICS is old and it's not smooth like newer versions like jb and kitkat.
CM10.1 is smooth but drains battery fast.
CM11 is the best but it's buggy (fc, random reboots...etc)
so my advice is to stick to jb 4.1.2 (stock or custom) until we get a stable lollipop (hope this will happen soon)

What makes you believe there will ever be a stable lollipop for the Note?
So much time has passed since the release of KK and AFAIK there is still no stable KK ROM for this device.

because bauner's CM12 even it is still in alpha stage, there is no overheating, graphic glitch, force-close (well, there is few but due to some apps that didn't get updated to fully support android L) and random reboots, and because Lollipop is a "true" update from Google since 2011, so don't expect that Google was playing all these years and only changed the UI and added some fonts there is about 5000 change/update in the SDK so android lollipop for sure will support even low end phones with 512MB of ram and new apps will have a ton of features.
I know that the Exynos motherboard for the SII and N7000 is a real Crap from Samsung but at least those issues related to it, if not fixed they will at least be reduced like the overheat issue still persist but not as bad as in KK.
Or maybe it's Google+Samsung fault which made it impossible to have stable kk for our device
