Android Could come to an end.

Guys, i would like to share with you a piece of info. Apple has acquired a few patents related to Android. What's the relation? Android has infringed 9 patents of Apple and 2 from Microsoft. This will cause Android mobile producers to stop device production. So, what are the patents infringed?? Well i only saw 2. It is the multi-touchscreen of Apple's patent and some other thing... i forgot.
This info is from some part of xda... i forgot... Google it. Its based on somethingarena.com... so maybe android will die out.

Anyway talking serious now, I really doubt Android will come to an end, at least involuntarily. Google is extremely powerful! It's not some patent infringement that will stop it... They probably have the best lawyers, and strong arguments.
One thing, I have some thoughts that maybe Google will discontinue Android, but maybe after 3 future successful years, to crest another new OS, which will have backward app compatibility with Android... Sounds crazy yeah? Anyway that's my thoughts lol

I believe Google is so awesome and open that android will last long and become more and more perfect.

Android will only end either when they got no more desserts to name or when apple decides to stop making ****ty stuff therefore no more competition for android

One of the reasons Google bought Motorola was to aquire it's library of patents for exactly that sort of situation

Try buying an iPad mini 16gig, a vtech discovery tree and a million other things, they go out of stock, glass things chip and crack and break, software never works perfect all the time, companies make promises they can't keep, but for the love of christ I have never seen such moaning about every little thing in my life, if you don't like it get a refund, cancel your order or shut up about it.

I have a page on Facebook called Jack Pearce Fan Club that someone made for me to show support for me. I've been accused of a lot of things falsely. It would mean a lot to me if since of you could stop by and just like the page for me. These shows are complete trash and are making a mockery out if me and my family and I can't take it any longer. I was going to say, most times when someone makes a thread asking to like a Facebook page, it usually gets locked pretty quick. But since you mentioned those you are against are iPhone fanboys, I'll consider it.

If you're so seriously offended why have you not used a serious medium to wage your "war"? Obviously litigation comes to mind, arguing over facebook is rather juvenile in my opinion and it seems to turn "causes" into fashion rather than actually accomplishing anything.

And it is amateurish for sure. It's mostly meant to offend me and insinuate lies as truth. I'm am a romanychal, or Gypsy as you would call me. The show is very degrading and we have done everything we can to stop it. I guess I just wanted a place to vent that wasn't biased. I appreciate the moderators letting me go this far. I really love xda and its members for helping me to enjoy my phones the way I want to.

Seems like Samsung is listening to owners

I just got recruited for a U.S. study of Gear owners.
Sounds pretty standard - Samsung are trying to figure out to how make things better and paying $200 to participants willing to give Galaxy Gear feedback for about 2 weeks.
Not sure how many they're taking but I spoke to a Jairo Rojas at the research company they hired at 818-530-1004 if anyone wants to get in on it. I got recruited because I also did a focus group in Los Angeles a while back.
Seems pretty cool way to make Gear better and make a little side cash..

I am too old and cynical for this. Could be true, but if they ask for too much personal information, or money, then stay away, is what I would recommend.
If all turns out great, then that would be wonderful, but this is the Internet we are talking about, so be wary.

I know I got recruited because I participated in the past in focus groups with this company in LA so I know they're legit. While not a much fun as beer focus groups, I thought it relevant to share since we all want to see Gear get better.
I'm sure Google is doing similar things with Glass owners, etc. Plus the money never hurts as well.

Focus group are a thing of the past.
Acceleration and Innovation comes with putting a release out there and, test and learn which is what happening with gear 1,and the manager platform.
Samsung is learning now, real time, as everyone uses the products. Gear2 will be a great version. They will pack as much crap in there as they can because, it's setting the bar for the rest of wearable tech.

Gear 2 will be released in September at IFA..

I have some reservations about this statement. This is not the case, as they are trying to keep this product in a certain price point. As with most tech, small and incremental improvement, ie "refinements" are more likely on the future horizon.

I remember reading about this technology a couple years ago, obviously its gaining more media coverage now. But even so they're saying it will be a few years off. I would think they will cover their bases on the safety aspect considering how sue happy people in the United States can be.

People need to be "sue happy" in order to keep the "oh-so-honest" private sector from releasing a bomb to the market.
Everyone complains about lawsuits....until something happens to THEM....Then they''re all for them.

I disagree... And sadly so does most of the world that jokes about how we are here in the states. Seriously.... Think of all the dumbass mistakes people make, then sue someone else just to make a dishonest buck. Look at the chick that burned herself on HOT coffee and sued McDonald's.... Do I really need a sign on my private pool saying keep out? I'm sorry but if you're gonna trespass on private property and drown in my pool, that's just asinine to find the owner responsible. What about the burglar that fell through a kitchen skylight and landed on a knife? He sued the owners of the house.
This is waaaay off topic so I'll apologize in advance but it really is a problem in the states.

Actually, the hot coffee thing happened but McDonald$ big money lawyers made it out to look like the gal it happened to was some sort of fool.
Without the ability to sue, the private sector would be allowed to set loose any product they like without consequence.
I have a "mixture" guaranteed to cure the common cold. Side effects might include death...anyone want to try it?

But I do agree with you that some lawsuits are just plain nuts.
I 'm of the belief a properly designed charging circuit will pose no danger. That be ing said....

It happened, and the coffee was hotter than coffee was supposed to be (180* - and there had been over 500 complaints during the previous years from the coffee being too hot. She tried to settle for $20k to cover medical costs, and lost wages, they offered her $800. The jury awarded her $2.7 Million and the judge settled on $670k. Way higher than what was requested.
