Hi, I have got an HTC One and when I try to press the add "+" or menu button across any Sense 5.5 program (mail app, Blinkfeed, camera, attach items in Gallery etc), Nothing happens. The menus and options don't show! I can see the + and 3 dot menu turning blue when I press them but that's it.
This did not happen to me when I was using Sense 5 on MaximusHD 12, 13 and 14. However, A leaked version of Sense 5.5 was released and I installed the new MaximusHD 20, at this point, these problems occurred, I reinstalled with a full wipe, but did't solve anything, I waited. MaximusHD 21 was recently released with the official release of Sense 5.5 I fully wiped and installed it, still however, I still have the same issue.
I now have ARHD 31 which I installed with a full wipe but still have the same issues!
Can someone please help me or let me know that I'm not alone?

This is because you have disabled animations in Developer Options>Advanced. Re enable animations then reboot, and your ActionBar buttons will work. You can disable window and transition animations, but animation duration can't be less than .5x or your ActionBar buttons will break. If your ROM dev is disabling animations by default, they should be made aware of this. This ?bug, feature? first showed it's ugly face with the 3.57.401.500 build
not completely working
Brother though this solution fixed the problem in the messaging app but my app menu's keys still aren't working
Any solution?
Hi, with the latest 4.4.2 update, I can't open menu from Gallery app, but menu works normally everywhere else. It's another base bug.

Hi,
I have recently flashed my IS to Android Revolution HD™ 1.1.7 with Sense 3.0 lock screen
First this is one awesome ROM!!
Couple of questions -
1) I flashed it with no-sense. Is there any way of putting Sense back on?
2) The lock screen has email which uses the standard email app. How can I set it so that it uses my K9 Email app?
Thanks
1) i guess you can flash the sense components as mentioned in the second post of the ARHD thread to get back sense features
2) in personalize settings, choose lock screen.
where u can choose, there will be a button called settings where you can choose the apps you need to be displayed in the lock screen
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I've went to settings > personalise
Personalise does not load.

Personalise does not load?
as in you are not able to view the page which provides options for wallpaper, skin, scene options? and from where you can add widgets to the home screen?
what rom are you using?
you could try long pressing on the home screen & the same 'personalize' menu wil pop up
Sorted.
re flashed the ROM without wipe.
I can change the shortcuts.
If you have set the home button to use another launcher, I you have to clear the default to change
the lock shortcut. If not personalise will not work.

Tasker + Android Revolution 1.1.7 issue
I successfully used Tasker application on a stock ROM with profile which does something when some application is in foreground (exactly keeps screen on when power supply available and audiobook player is active).
But after I flashed Android Revolution 1.1.7 this profile no more does not work anymore
Moreover, any profile based on application appearance detection does not work.
I suspect this behavior depends from custom kernel...
Is there some solution for Tasker's application dependent profiles get working?
Yes , in order to get personalize button to work you will have to switch back to the original interface (HTC sense) .
Solution : Go to Android Market , download "Home switcher" and launch your HTC sense from there and then you press menu and go personalize. That should work . I've experienced the same problem by using GoLauncher on custom ROMs regardless of whether it is Android Revolution HD or Virtuous Unity .

I installed Untouched Desire C stock rom etc and it was still a problem. I turned the lockscreen shortcuts off and these still happened. no change. :/
Should I install the Untouched Desire C stock rom, relock the bootloader and return it to vodafone service?
Thanks!!
Yep, tell them ur lockscreen problem, show the screenshots,

I know that stock kernel in your phone -g932fab4 the cpu clock is locked at 600MHZmax 600MHZmin
and is unchangeable with setcpu or any other cpu changing apps. also governor and scheduler is locked. even with root.

Lately the same issue started for me too. Lock screen shortcuts have been enabled. With clean flashed Nameless however, there's no problem.
I tried to delete lock screen data and cache, still the same.
The red and grey spots only come when I move the lock ring but I don't unlock it, otherwise only the shortcuts are missing.
If I press the power button again without unlocking, the shortcuts are back.
Can it be that a calendar event or similar notification on the lock screen stuck somewhere in the ROM and causes this?

oh so im not the only one. the only thing what worked for me is full erase everything, and clean install the latest nameless rom and use the nameless look. and dont change anything. i changed the rosie apk back to the original 4x4. it was all right. then i installed a skin. it was still all right. i tried to push the transparent quick settings, i succeeded, but since then i pushed that systemui.apk it started again. when i install the rom i also remove 47 programs by room toolbox pro. i fuk sth up. if i dont change anything, and i use the nameless look its all right. i have the lastest nameless 806mhz kernel and rom etc. i have the lockscreen shortcuts on and have no problem yet. (3 days passed since the install)
Running ARHD 3.2 with Bulletproof Kernel - working great. There are a few things I would love and wondering if anyone can help out:
1. Quick Settings menu - is there a way to customize this on this ROM?
2. APM
3. Battery meter w/ percent
4. A way to change the long press on the home button to bring up the list of recent apps instead of Google Now
5. Smart Remote (no longer in play store?)
So, nothing major, but getting this stuff working would make this ROM nearly perfect
Thanks
Hello!
I updated today my HTC One (Orange Romania) to 4.3 with Sense 5.5. I discovered that I cannot create a new SMS by tapping the + sign anymore. Nothing happens when I tap the sign, the same happens when tapping the 3 small dots for the menu. I restarted the phone and the problem is still ON.
Do you guys know what is happening? A Sense bug?

Re-enable Animations in Developer options. In Sense 5.5 if you have the Animation Duration completely disabled, the ActionBar buttons won't work (at least in Sense Apps). You can disable window and transition animations, but the best you can do with Animation Duration is set it to .5x. After changing this, reboot.
That was it! Thank you so much!

I have recently update my HTC one ( non- carrier version) to Android 4.3. However, unlike before, I cannot find the 'Change lock screen' option in settings. Can any one help?

Why do they do this stupid ****? No wonder HTC are losing all their street cred.
Never even noticed. Interesting.
Turning the lockscreen compeletely off was one of the best features for me. And now its gone. Well, its time for a custom rom...

I was in the latest stock rom 2 days ago. I cannot have direct access for the dock like before.
But you can desactivate the lock screen. My version is in french so maybe my translate is bad, but you shouls find it.
Security -> ignore lockscreen on wake up (the second line from the top)
After this, as i don't have any pin after the screen lock i go directly into my home screen.
But maybe europe OTA is late...
I have that option enabled (please see attached screenshot) and no security set and it still goes to lockscreen. It's not that hard to flip it away, just very annoying because the animation lags a bit, there are two things to do and altogether it's a lot slower than just pressing the power button and instantly be on a homescreen.
Will try the new 4.4 kitkat google edition rom.
Get an app to help you with this...
I used a free app "No lock screen" from Google play store, and worked like a charm...
Hope that helps!
