[MOD]custom transition animation

really want to share with you guys
i searched for a while in desirehd forum, and didn't see a thread about custom transition animation
i guess a lot of us are searching for this =]
this is the original thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849963
but i guess a detail instruction is necessary: (succeded just now)
1. copy "framework-res.apk" (/system/framework/framework-res.apk) to your sdcard
2. open it via 7zip on ur PC
3. Drag the anim folder with the animations (which you can download in the original thread) into /res folder in your framework-res.apk. This will replace the files currently in /res/anim.
4. go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9190418
5. download the attachment - Blank Update.zip.zip
6. Extract "Blank Update.zip.zip" then Open up the update.zip with 7zip
7. Drag your modified framework-res.apk to the "framework" folder in 7zip to overwrite the existing blank framework-res file
8. Close update.zip (agree to any messages about updating the file)
9. Copy update.zip to your sdcard
10. Flash the update.zip via ClockworkMod
havefun ^^
Not working for me...
I'm on an htc sense rom and used UOT kitchen to cook update.zip.
By the way, do you know how to get keyboard display/hide animation on stock rom?
It is far easier just to use MetaMorph and the relevant zip files can be found all over the forum. I will post them if anyone wants them.
Regards.
Anyone knows what files are for Opening and Closing an app? I want to replace only those but don´t know what xmls I have to use!
well, That works for me.
Thanks
Works great for me with Revolution HD.
Thanks

Make sure you have animations enabled in settings >> display >> animations
Great guide! I've been doing this exact same thing for some weeks now on my Leedroid based DHD
One thing i could never get working was the stock android keyboard animation. The one where the keyboard slides up and down. On Sense roms there is no animation. Anybody here managed to get that animation working with Sense?

Nope, I installed the stock android animation files on Sense ROM (Revolution HD), and I have no keyboard animation, so this must be coded somewhere else...

[Q] Port Gingerbread Animations to CyanogenMod 7

Hey Guys,
I have been running CyanogenMod 7 on my Milestone for a while now, and I love it! But I do think it could do with a little bit more of eye candy. So I was wondering, is there anyway to port the gingerbread window animations to CyanogenMod?
I have tried a few Metamorph tricks, but wasn't successful. I also heard about an app called AnimMod which is supposed to do this, but I cant try it out as I am not allowed to buy paid apps in my country. So, I would be glad if anyone posted a link to a working procedure for changing the window animations.
All windows animations are in the framework-res.apk under the res/anim folder.
You can replace those with the GB animation files and apply again. Please note that you need to replace only those that are there in both the framework files.
[email protected]
Thanks for the answer.
Where can I find the gingerbread animation files? I dont have the gingerbread ROM, so would it be possible to download the files from some place.
Also, I am curious to know, why weren't these animations implemented in the CyanogenMod in the first place. I would have thought most people would appreciate the better animations of Gingerbread.
Edit: I just watched a walkthrough, and it seems that the animations in CyanogenMod are the same as those in Gingerbread. Still, it would be nice to know where I can find some new animation files
Wow I forgot that I put this together.
I named it FlyIn_FlipOut because I combined the Flying animation with the Flip Animation.
I actually spent alot of time on it pinpointing specific things which was a pain in the ass.
Anyway, it's attached.
I hope that somebody thinks that it's neat
I have attached the animation xml files for the following animation effects.
Flip
Fold
Flying
Bounce
Blur
FroyoMOD ( animations found in Luca's FroyoMOD )
All you need to do is to copy it into the folder that i mentioned in the previous post and apply it again.
Thanks Guys.
I need some more info on how to do this thing properly:
1. Where is the framework-res.apk located? I found one in the system/ framework folder but it is named as framerwork-res-mot.apk.
2. How do i change the files? and finally how do i install the apk.
In short, it would be great if you could post the steps to modify CyanogenMod to incorporate the new animations.
@zeppelinrox: Good thing you came across this post then.
Anim mod is an easy way, i use it all the time
note\ require root and busy box installed
Goodluck

Download the theme updater flashable template zip file from here.
Download and extract the contents of the zip file provided by Zeppe to your desktop.
Your framework-res.apk is in your /system/framework folder. Using 7zip or winzip, open framework-res.apk and replace the animation files in the /res/anim folder.
Copy the framework-res.apk into the /system/framework folder of the theme updater template zip file. Copy the template zip file into openrecovery/updates folder and apply in AOR after wiping dalvik/cache.

[V2.7][AROMA][22-1-13] Android Boot Animation Changer [Sense and Non-Sense Support!]

AndroidBoot Animation Changer
I have just made the changing of boot animations easier for everyone!
With this small AROMA script, you won't have to copy and paste or
replace or push things anymore; no more root explorers and computers!
Instructions:
Put the bootanimation.zip of your choice into the root of the downloaded zip
(you will have to replace the one already inside) and flash it in your recovery! Its that easy!
For changing of boot animation audio (only HTC Sense supported currently), put the android_audio.mp3
of your choice into the root of the downloaded zip (you will have to replace the one already inside too)
Inside the AROMA Installer, make sure you choose the two options correctly (Phone with or without HTC Sense)
because it not only changes the theme but also determines where the boot animations is.
If you do not have a qHD device, DO NOT flash this directly without changing the bootanimation.zip inside it first. I put a
qHD HTC boot animation inside, so if your phone's screen size isn't qHD, it will look quite ugly.
Sharing policy:
You are allowed to share this ZIP and/or any part of it as long as money is not involved (e.g. selling).
If you are a boot animation maker, you are allowed to put your boot animation in this ZIP and
share it, but you will have to mention me or my brother's name (KaiJun or kaienchua971, relatively)
and/or post a link to this very page.
Download link:
In the attachments below
Changelog:
V2.7 Minor update
Added busybox into the zip. No need for busybox on your system anymore!
V2.6 Minor update
Added ability to backup boot animation sound for Sense ROMs (Requires busybox on your phone. Will fix that in the next update)
V2.5 Minor Update
Added ability to backup boot animation (option in AROMA. Requires busybox on your phone. Will fix that in the next update, after V2.6)
Added ability to replace boot animation audio for HTC Sense devices (just place android_audio.mp3 into the root of the ZIP, like the bootanimation.zip)
V2.0 Major Update
Added AROMA Installer!
Added support for non-HTC Sense devices
V1.0
Initial release
V1.0 can only be found in the HTC Sensation forums because it had only support for phones with HTC Sense

Upcoming update: Changing of boot animation sound!

If you find this small script helpful, pressing "THANKS" at the bottom left corner or "Tip us?" at the top right corner of the post will help alot.
Really good job, but I like putting it in the system application folder. It is better because this doesn't backup other boot animation.

'I like putting it in the system application folder." I don't get why you put it in the system application folder but nevermind,
" It is better because this doesn't backup other boot animation." I don't really understand what you mean but I edited the script to backup the boot animation onto the SD card and I'm probably uploading it a few minutes later.

Small Boot Animation List (By ME)

MUST HAVE ROOT!!!
I will not give you instructions on how to root your device! I will redirect you to the Wikipedia page and you can figure it out for yourself!
Here is another post of some boot animations I made.
There are boot animations for MDPI and HDPI devices.
I'm not going to ask for thanks, but it would be nice.
These animations take a long time to make, please post your resolutions so I can make them fit your device!
XDA tells me how many times each file is downloaded, so either post something or do a thanks!
A lack of support makes me not want to make more!
HOW TO INSTALL METHODS
1. Use jrummy's Boot Animations * Root app
2. For android 4.0 and up, use a root browser to rename the .zip file to "bootanimation.zip" and paste it in /data/local
3 For below 4.0, paste the bootanimation.zip in /system/media
For energy-drink themed animations, go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...ink-lovers-t2953255/post57046207#post57046207
Please show your support! A thanks or a comment is always welcome!
If you want me to make you a custom animation, I will. PM me about it!
