Any idea what is this and how it effects my gear? I get this at random and always after a reboot.

I noticed this randomly also, Not sure what the F in FOTA stands for.. but OTA is over the air.
So make sure your connected to bluetooth, or if your not using bluetooth to disable it in settings.

Got this after installing ATN. Reset watch and haven't installed ATN again since and hasn't come back. Not sure if there is any correlation here.

I got it before installing ATN so I'm guessing it's not because of ATN. I was thinking it has something to do with me rooting the gear but as mentioned above, if you reboot the gear and your phone Bluetooth is on, you don't get the msg.

I've had a gear for about a month now, and found one thing to be a bit of a pain: I don't have s health on my gs3, and want to sync my pedometer activity.
I also tried using the myfitnesspal app, but that seemed to use a lot more battery life, and didn't actually sync...
Your experiences?

Same problem with Galaxy Note 2 - why is there no S Health App in Android 4.3 for the Note 2?

I am not rooted, and tried just installing the apk's before, so I'm supposing.you copied things to system to get it working?

So, I installed s-health from the link provided, but it does not connect to Gear. Is there something I am missing? I tried the bluetooth tab, it shows the gear, buit does not provide a connection. In gear manager, under the pedometer app, transfers are still greyed out.
I have a rooted S3 i747 (AT&T)

They're at the bottom of the notification screen in Gear Manager. Not the best place for them, but I imagine they'll get their own category at some point.

I had that problem too; the second time I edited them it worked. I don't know if rebooting the phone and gear helped. I'm not sure what I did but now they are edited to match what I have on the phone.

I had this same issue on the Gear 2 Neo and the updated templates did not push to the watch until I modified ALL of the templates. Initially, I only wanted to edit a few of them and nothing changed on my watch...even after restarts. After going back to edit the others as well, the watch was immediately refreshed with the new templates (with no restart or any further action). Odd, but it is what it is.
Hi all.
In a bit of a quandary.
I got a replacement Note 3 2 days ago after breaking mine.
However since pairing my gear to it Gear Manager force closes EVERY time when trying to open the notification settings.
I have even reset my phone to factory and tried re installing everything but it still happens.
So at this point I'm not getting any notifications to my watch and it is annoying me.
Watch is rooted running Null 19.
However it's the Gear Manager that force closes.
Phone is completely stock but it did install 4 updates one after the other when I booted it for the first time.
Any ideas?
I have the same issue. But I am still getting notifications on my gear.
Note 2 with n3bula
GM with 1.6
Latest null.
Trying to trace it down.

Got to the bottom of it.
I flashed the Stock ROM back onto my Gear and everything is fine.
It seems that the new pairing with the rooted Gear went awry somehow.
I had the same issue, since i installed gm 1.6 to use dysa to reply whatsapp messages.the problem was the galaxy gear null addon
Even installing gm1.5 later i had the same problem, now i haven't the null addon and works all well

Same for me.
It started yesterday. The biggest changes I can think of are
1. adding Gear Manager and connecting Gear 2 Neo to it which happened one week ago. No issues till now
2. putting in and taking out a microSD card. Shortly after this action, the random reboots started. I don't think I messed up the related hardware. I did it carefully, not forcing anything. I even shut down the device and popping the battery before inserting and removing the microSD.
I'm scratching my head what could have triggered the random reboots. I have shut down Bluetooth to trouble-shoot what is causing the random reboots. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks
What firmware are you on? Are you rooted? Have you tried another sd card? Maybe try a factory reset

I believe it is in gravity box. But it is possible that wanam has that feature as well.

My Note 3 isn't rooted. It's running stock KitKat. It doesn't have a microSD. I put one in to copy files and took it out right away. I don't know if it was a coincident. The reboots started shortly after I put in and took out the microSD. I think it's more a coincident because I was super careful with the microSD slot.
I just did a reset. I'll observe if reboots happen again.
I know it sounds crazy but try going into Settings>Wifi>Advanced and unchecking "Always Allow Scanning". Once I used a SD in it and have that checked my phone randomly reboots no matter what ROM or MODs I use and I have met other people on here that have had the same issue and unchecking that setting fixed it. Something about the way some SD cards work and that setting not playing nice with each other. Hope this helps you, I know it nearly drove me mad until someone suggested I try unchecking it.
I did a reset and restored my all apps backed up by Helium. I got random reboots still. But may be because I also restored Gear Manager and its associated plugins and apps, I was still getting random reboots. I have reset again and restored all my apps without the Gear Manager etc. So far it's been 20 hours, no random reboots. I'll observe some more. I just have the feeling Gear Manager etc have something to do with the reboots.
@zacharyt86: I'll remember your tip too. Thanks
My N3 used to do that a lot so i rooted the phone and now i have no issues. I did have issues with some roms and when i was using a rom slot on ss but no issues on the stock slot.
Im on JB though but my note had the same issue. I think its a memory issue... I was also using a cache cleaner then that i just havent used since i changed roms
Ya think it just could be one if those weird things I see others having issues that I'm not having if it keeps doing it I would call Samsung or take it back to att

It's been 60+ hours. No reboots. I'm inclining to conclude it's Gear Manager and its associated plugins and apps that caused the reboots. I'll install Gear Manager again, not install any Gear app, just connect phone calling and default notifications, i.e.all default stuff. Will report back.

Gear VR work with rooted phone, but u need stock kernel.
No I am not rooted
Go into your apps manager and make sure you have gear vr services. If you do then maybe your having a charging port issue. Make sure your phone is unlocked before placing it into the gear vr
