My rotation/other tilt features simply aren't working. At all. Tried changing ROMs/wipe/calibration etc but I think it's buggered. Known fault? Any self repair method?

Hi,
I've been trying to find a program to manage TVs and DVDs using the Kaiser as a remote controller. I've tried a couple but none work with the CPU the Kaiser uses. Any software you know will work?
Kiaser dont have InfraRed port!!
as far as i know the Kaiser doesnt have Infrared either to control TVs etc
as was said, the Tilt lacks and IR port so there is no way to control the equipment.
Yep, you'd need an IR -IO card. Cause the Kaiser ain't got the hardware.
Hi,
As the questions says, I've got a garmin heartrate monitor working with the ANT+ app but I can't get any other app to see it (mainly runtastic pro) - wondering if anyone has any success with it?
N.
I might trying updating to the latest firmware, currently on 14.1.g.1.518.
I've got a Garmin monitor, and a PowerCal monitor running with IPBike. I tried to get the Garmin Fit app working but there's no option to add the sensors.
Iam using My tracks and Garmin heart rate monitor.Works well.Dont forget to download and install ANT Radio Service.

Anyone using ANT+ with anything but the stock ROM?
I'm using rooted stock rom(NUT .757), but ANT+ is not working.

Oh no that is a nightmare. Maybe I won't be upgrading then!
I'm on NUT's .136 and ANT+ is unreliable but just about works. For example when I run an ANT+ app, the bluetooth icon appears. If I close bluetooth, ANT+ stops working! Both bluetooth and wifi continually switch themselves on without any intervention from me on this ROM. Anyway, the ANT+ often mysteriously stops working during a (bike) ride and I either have to toggle bluetooth on and off (twice) or reboot to get it working again.
Good luck, I do not think many Android devs are also fitness orientated.....
Doh, you cannot turn off BT, that's how the ANT+ works on the device.

Interesting - I was using my Samsung Galaxy Nexus with a ANT+ dongle which did not exhibit this behaviour i.e. I did not need bluetooth to be switched on to enable the ANT+. And my understanding is bluetooth and ANT+ are separate radios. Do you know different?

That because Bluetooth and ANT+ are integrated in the same Chip so you have to enable Bluetooth to let it work. In Samsung probably they are separated. Many Manufacturing use different Chips Radio so some can have this behaviour.
I recently upgraded to the latest (4.4.2), lo and behold bluetooth is not activated when I use ANT+

That don't mean Bluetooth and ANT+ are not in the same chip.
Dear All,
My optimus black fell from my hand yesterday on solid floor, and since then I was unable to turn on the wifi or bluetooth, and im not really sure about the GPS, it seems to turn on but it does not detect any satellite signal.
I am almost sure that the fall is the reason of this malfunction because it was working normally before the incident.
I tried to restart the phone several times, but it is always the same. I choose to turn the WiFi on, it says turning WiFi on, then nothing happens and it is off again, the same happens for Bluetooth.
I am familiar with the phone from the inside, I have opened it several times to fix the power button problem, but I am not really sure where the WiFi and Bluetooth ICs are (if someone can tell me I would be really thankful)
I checked the motherboard connections, and everything seems to be intact.
Any suggestions?
I have searched the internet, but I could not find any decent LG optimus black hardware tear down.
Thanks!
Hi All,
Apparently no could help me with my issue, but thanks anyway, I managed to find out the Wifi and Bluetooth IC.
Unfortunately, I could not manage to figure out the problem, probably it is one of the capacitors, but if anyone ever wants to know, Optimus Black uses Broadcom BCM4329 IC (Low-Power 802.11n with Bluetooth® 2.1 + EDR and FM (Tx and Rx)) embedded on the backside of the motherboard when you open the phone.
Thanks
Could be a antenna problem or try downloading an app to check out snr noise.
Hi there,
I just wondering if somebody could help me with this issue: I have a GEONAUTE CARDIO BLUETOOTH SMART (4.0) sensor and it works with any Android phone, except with mine... earlier I used it with Galaxy S5, but I have tested with Galaxy Ace 3 and Lenovo S90 and it works fine. On the other side, my Galaxy S6 edge does discover and connect any other bluetooth devices (such as smartwatch, speaker, keyboard etc.). I tried nearly anything but without any result. I even think of buying a new heart rate sensor and a cadence sensor as well, but I am a bit confused after all. Do you have any suggestion regarding the issue? Or do you already use some kind of heart rate monitor or cadence sensor (even ANT+ devices)?
Any response would be highly appreciated, thank you in advance!
Kind Regards,
Balazs
Hello everyone!
Not sure if it's been posted before, but there's a relatively big batch of Lumia 930 devices that have microphones that short circuit after a while. It's heavily discussed in this topic on Windows Central and I'm also a victim of it.
What happens is that 2 of the 4 mics (mostly at the back) on the 930 suddenly don't work anymore. Therefor the device can't record any sound while filming in Windows Camera (W10M), Whatsapp, Voice recorder, etc. Those apps use only the two back microphones. The front microphones are disabled or are used to cancel noise by default. When calling, the bottom front (still working) microphone is used.
Is there a hack that could make it possible to use the other (front) microphones on the phone to record sound while filming? Like a "use all microphones" hack? Or maybe a tweak to disable noise cancellation?
I checked in several forum if there is any solution to the problem , but almost all ask to take the appliance to a technical assistance .
My phone is no longer under warranty , the repair value is too expensive (better buy a new one)
But I'm thinking about changing the microphone , I saw that there are websites selling like this user ( brittech14) on Ebay.
Anyone know if replacing the microphone solves the problem ?
Also looking for an answer to this problem if it is either possible to disable mic 3&4, force apps to use mic 1&2 instead of 3&4 or a way to fix this by disassembly.
Would really appreciate if someone knows more about fixing this issue.
Hi,
The only way to solve mics problem is replacing them. Changing the mics functionality through software hacking is impossible. Since, the Lumia 930 has two product code, RM-1087 and RM-1045 (the latter is popular), as a small chance (but risky) you can try the firmware of RM-1087 on your device (Download Links).
Having the same issue with a phone that is out of warranty, curious if there is any solution, registry edit, tweak, etc. to remap 3rd and 4th mics to the working 1 and 2...
Fortunately, some of HW issues such as mic problem are supposed to be fixed in future w10m updates, probably RS2.
does not solve problem, just replaced the microphone still does not work
