I just installed ARHD 4.1 over 4.0. After the reboot I went into the Xposed Installer to turn it on. Under Framework, I click Install/Update because under the active header I have three red dashes for app_process and a green 36 for XposedBridge.jar. When I click on Install/Update I get the request for Superuser access, which I grant, but then the phone just reboots. It does not actually install or update. What can I do to get Xposed working?
EDIT: I think I found out what's causing it. I installed Chainfire's SuperSU this time around from the Aroma installer. When I try going into SuperSU I get a message stating that the SU binary needs to be updated. However, since I installed SuperSU through the installer for ARHD4.1 I don't have the actual ZIP for it and SuperSU says it should be installed from recovery.
I ended up having to reinstall ARHD 4.1 but this time I didn't use SuperSU. Now everything seems to be working.

So I've unlocked the bootloader OK and then I followed this video - qbking77.com/development/how-to-root-the-htc-one-international-sprint-att ( I cant post the link as Im a new user) and when I open superSU I get this message - "there is no SU binary installed, and superSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
Everything appeared to go ok with the root, so what have I done wrong?
I have hunted round these forums and seen other people with this problem but not with a HTC One.
I have also tried updating it through the play store but with no success, after the update the error message changes slightly to "there is no SU binary installed, and superSU cannot install it. This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device"
HTC One M7
android 4.4.2
originally on EE UK
Thanks
FIXED IT!!!!!!!!
i was using an old version of supersu - 1.25
so i downloaded v1.8 from here download.chainfire.eu/370
then went into recovery mode and flashed that
rebooted
supersu had totally gone now - no idea why....
so installed supersu from play store
opened supersu it said there was somethign wrong and did I want to reboot into cwm to fix it
it reboots
asks again if i want to fix the root
rebbots
all is ok!!!
now just need to remove all the crappy unwanted stock apps
Using a Gionee CTRL V5, which has just been updated to Android 4.4.2. Trying any version after 2.5.1, I can't get Xposed to get installed on this phone. The installer says the files of the correct version are, indeed, installed, but not active, even after rebooting several times. Since this phone does not have any custom recovery, I can't install it via recovery (using stock recovery, the phone says the .zip is not correctly signed or something).
Xposed 2.5.1 installs flawlessly on the other hand, but when accessing the modules page, or anything else on the system for that matter, everything crashes. (Even the Android uninstaller.) What's happening?
I did root it using "KingRoot", and I can't manage to install SuperSU. Is that somehow problematic?
Had stock rom 5.0.2, rooted, xposed framework installed, twrp.
I used the xposed framework uninstaller zip, full unroot from supersu, flashed stock recovery.
When I try to install the update I get the triangle exclamation thing, the following text:
Installing update...
Warning: No file_contextsL50QCT.01.102.010

Thanks for any help!
EDIT: solved, see second post

I fixed it myself, I had flashed the recovery from the HTC one stock recovery thread but it was outdated, I extracted the recovery from this ZIP in this thread and everything went smoothly. I am s-off.
Easily flashed TWRP, then Xposed Framework and SuperSU zips after installing new OTA update, everything quite functional. Very pleased.
I am running an LG G Flex with 4.4.2 OS. I rooted via Kingroot, and then installed the Xposed Framework, When I open the Xposed Framework app, it tells me "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?" I click on the framework button, and it goes to the framework>install/update or uninstall, installation mode>classical, reboot>Soft Reboot or Reboot page, and at the top it says in red "The Xposed Framework is not installed. Please download the latest ZIP file from XDA and flash it manually via recovery" How do I do that? or how do I work around it? I've rebooted twice and it still says the same thing...

Which exact version(s) of Xposed are you trying to install, and where did you get them?
I backed out, uninstalled, reinstalled, and now xposed is working. But my downloads list won't populate so I can get the 'fake location' module.
Change of plans. Want to unroot but kingroot doesn't show an unroot option. How do I unroot without kingroot?

You should ask in the sub-forum for your device. This sub-forum is for Xposed Framework and related questions, not for rooting issues.
Hello guys I recently rooted my xz premium dual sim and I currently have Magisk 22.1, I'm not an expert so
I need help please, what are a proper direct way to get xposed working properly on Android 8.0 ROM?
I mainly need to install XPrivacy, I tried to install EDXposed but it failed though and I'm not sure what to do
Thanks in advance
Since you need to install this with Magisk, do this:
Donwload the attached files
be sure to install the Xposed Magisk apk file first and open it it will show, thats it's not installed
then go to magisk and flash the xposed framework zip
and reboot
then (after your device is completely started with magisk and xposed) go to magisk, and check if the module's enabled. If it's NOT enabled, flash the zip again. If it's enabled, open xposed installer and check. (it's still not fully installed) and then there comes a message, that it's installed, but not really.
For the last step you need a custom recovery (like twrp or something)
Boot into your custom recovery and flash the xposed zip there (again)
Reboot and enjoy.
Another (way simpler) method would be to download it from magisk manager (if you have a older version) online repo.
I attached the Magisk version (with working repo)
In case xposed is installed but remains not active (yellow triangle instead of a green checkmark in the xposed installer app) follow the instructions of post #2 and don't worry you don't have to be an expert for this fix its fairly easy
Magisk + Xposed Framework is installed, but not active (XposedBridge.jar lacking)
Hi, new member here, who happened to lurk into XDA a few times in the past, and finally decided to register, hoping finding someone that would be able to help with my problem. I have Nexus 7 (2012), which became unusable with Android Lollipop...
