Hello Geeks
I am using CM 10.1.3 on my P880 and battery seems to fast.
I set to air plane mode when i sleep, the next day the battery drain 30% at least without using any.
any idea and which cause the battery drain so fast?
and I am thinking to try another ROM, any ROM which can make longer battery life so far?
thanks a million.

All your questions could've been solved if you would do a little search. The battery is a well discussed topic and you aren't the only one with bad battery stats.
Search for betterbatterystats and you'll probably solve it yourself.

Hi,
Just a quick one and any responses from personal experiance would be great.
Has anyone used an app to re-calibrate the battery? If so did it help or did it seem to make the battery life worse?
I had a major drain on my battery so did a complete reinstall of tweaky ROM and the drain has stopped. Just wondering if I should bother to recalibrate
Thanks

Calibration did not help me, I have the same stamina... JVH + Criskelo v56 + CF-Root 3.2
from those many many times i have tried to do calibration in all possible ways that has being suggested even waiting a few days for the cycle to end...
my conclusion its bull**** it depends on the rom or apps that are running ....
the only thing it does it shows u 100% when u finish charging in case u dont see it already.
Does it work or does waiting two weeks for battery to settle down work .
jje
My findings are similar to JJE. After flashing a ROM, it will take 4-5 charge cycles (just charging every night, nothing special....may run down to 0% after first charge) before I see a stable, decent battery life.

Ditto, I try not to judge a ROMs battery appetite until about a week, espescially if I was to lazy to flash at 100%.. But I think that is what is meant by battery calibration..
Ok thanks guys, think I'll wipe battery stats next time I flash a new ROM 100% battery

Hello everyone,
I'm running some tests to see the battery consumption on my Galaxy S i9000. I'm using the gingerbread version of darkys ROM.
Firstly, what do you think of the battery life? In this specific test I used the phone in a very light way, made some messages/calls and read few mails.
Secondly, is it normal to have depressions in the battery chart that display less battery than it shows later? How is it computed? Isn't just some logic level of the voltage battery?
Lastly, in the case of buying another battery, is it worthless to be genuine?
Thanks a lot
I have same qestion like you, in the another thread....

Sorry! Obviously I didn't searched properly. Hope someone can clarify us
Is it a gingerbread issue?
Even big batteries will "recover" after heavy use so ur graph is quite normal.
Also be aware that if the battery calibration isnt xorrect then that will lead to weird graphs too. E.g. Losing 1% over 8hrs after flashing a new rom is most likely due to inaccurate battery calibration.

When I install a new rom the battery stats are always deleted? Or it depends?
I also having the same prob...batt consumptions are always the main concern when come to flashing a new rom...Darky's can only last me for 1day with heavy usage and recently flashed to MIUI which can only last for <8hours with the same usage...im not sure why this happen but I am trying with different kernels and see which is the best combination...
I just installed a new gingerbread ROM and guess what.. Using push, wi-fi all the time, gps, 1h youtube video, sms, video call... The battery never ends!! As I'm writing the battery is still 15%. It's amazing the gingerbread in terms of battery consumption. Obviously, something in the other ROM was not right! Guess I'll stick to this battery a little more time.
Btw, the battery stats are pretty normal, no depressions..
I'm running an un-modded MIUI ROM from MIUI[dot]us and basically the battery drain is becoming an issue to which I assume its kernel and theme related. Basically has anyone got any suggestions to a compatible battery saving kernel that can aid my issue? Whilst I was on the phone now for 30 minutes it apparently used 40% battery. Thanks for the help in advance
Use the Battery Calibration App from the market. IT wtll fix your battery stats after flashing.

I noticed it too. One week ago I was using gingerbread, which the battery lasted for about 24 hours with the same use as now with MIUI [ICS] 4.0.3 that lasts for about 18 hours.
I calibrated the battery two times, it helped a bit.

minicm9 does have battery drain. The ROM is still not perfect.
I think you'd only be getting 15-16 hours of battery life.
You could try some simple steps like uninstalling useless apps , turning off background data/sync. Try using less widgets. You don't have many options.
Honestly , you shouldn't expect a decent battery life with ICS.
Ive done everything and im still having problems. Anyway, its taking a lot to charge. Same thing?

Not true
Turn off zRam, KSM, Google sync, Google location service and unneeded background apps and things should dramatically improve.
First you have to identify where that battery drain comes from. You can check that in the battery settings.
Its phone idle... When i had gdx i never had that problem, and now my phone doesnt give me more than 12 hours. If i cant fix it i think i will go back to cm7... Hope you can help me...

for me it's the display whats eating the most juice, even if the phone is rather idle. according to the battery overview at least. but i think the only thing we can do now is waiting for fixing
So I bought this phone 2 days ago and it's running Android 4.0.3 (LG Software v10e).. It's new, untouched, came out of box... Its battery drains unbelievably fast, with screen on, it drains 1% every 2-3 minutes and on standby it drains like 3-5% an hour. I did a lot of searching here on this forum before making this thread after I couldn't find a suitable solution nor any info about Android 4.1 upgrade. I installed "Battery saver" like 20 minutes ago and it seems to be doing better on standby now, no drainage so far in 20 minutes... I wanna know if it's worth upgrading to 4.1? I've seen a lot of negative feedback about it on other forums... How do I improve battery life on my phone without rooting it?
Any help would be highly appreciated, thanks
Yeah another battery thread

I got the same quesition!
If u are not going to root it to remove some bloatware from Jb 4.1.2 just dont upgrade. Its not worth it.

On every custom rom i've got baseband_xmm_power wakelock loosing 50% battery so something is very wrong. It isn't just bloatware problem. I've got this on clean CM.
Get v20B mostly no wakelocks for me.
