It should dry out and be ok.

Its between camera lemse and protector lense if u put on side the water goes to side but then when i put on water goes back to lense so i cant take pics should i put on heater vent to see if that helps ??

Uncooked rice, ziploc bag or tupperware, leave to sit in rice for 24-48 hours.

Indeed. This is the way to solve the problem. Point is what the heck where Samsung thinking in the R&D department that makes customers need to do this? It really is a ridiculous situation and one we will just have to live with. Very poorly pre production tests.

Hi.have had my gear about a month practice and play golf every day I get very hot and sweaty my camera lens has steamed up I think 3 times but hey its been no problem it clears up for me fine.Much like a car windscreen.I can see it bothers some people but for me not a problem I do nothing it clears up.

put some electrical tape on hole inside of watch strap it will not happen again. mine didn't
Press thx if i help you

just realized mine has a bunch of little moisture drops on the inside of the lense. pretty pathetic since all i have done since getting it 2 days ago was wash my hands while it was on, i took it off when i took a shower so maybe the moisture from the shower could have caused it in the bathroom? just put it in a bag of rice. anyone have luck with that method? if so how long did it take?

Anybody have any tips or suggestions on how to get moisture out? I know people say rice, a hair dryer, or alcohol but i need some good advice ....This is my precious :-(

Just as you stated. Those are the best solutions."I would avoid the alcohol"
I would use the hairdryer then put it it a bag of dry rice for several days maybe even a week. With the back, battery, sim, and sd card removed of course.

Avoid the hair dryer.
What kind of water was it dropped into? If it was relatively clean just shake it out pull the battery and submerg it in a bowl of uncooked rice for several days with no attempts of powering it on.
If it was beer or soda or something that would leave a harmful resadue your going to.want to rinse it out with distilled water and then dry it or in rice.

I dropped my Incredible in the toilet a few days ago and put it in a container of rice for a few hours to remove the moisture, works fine now. Did you immediately remove the battery when you got it out of the water?

I had to fix three of my friend's phones when we went on a rafting trip and capsized in the river.. lol.
I took off the battery covers and removed the batteries, SIM cards, SD cards, etc. then buried the phones in a container of uncooked rice (brown rice actually works the best, I'm Asian woohoo). Then, with a CAREFUL eye, I turned on the oven at the lowest heat setting possible and stuck the container in there for maybe five minutes. After that, they were nice and dry and even now work flawlessly one device was the original Droid, too. And that thing was killed in the river lol.
It is not recommended that you use a hair dryer (not even on the cold mode) to dry out the phone. Using a hair dryer may force moisture further into the small components, deep inside the phone, as the air blows inward. And if it is too warm, it will likely melt them....If you want to try and suck the liquid out of the inner parts of the phone, try using a vacuum cleaner.
Be careful not to hold the vacuum too close to the phone, as a vacuum can create static electricity, which is even worse for the phone.

I would recommend uncooked rice in a container. also, try cat litter in a stocking or cheese cloth placed next to your phone in a container since cat litter is meant to absorb moisture. but i would try just putting it in a bowl of rice (i stress how important it is for the rice to be uncooked) and make sure you immerse the phone in the rice. leave it over night. make sure the battery is out and ofc, that its not plugged in.
i wouldnt use a hair dryer or alcohol.
You could also try desiccant packs (silica gel packs, like what comes in a shoe box), mixed in with the rice. I dropped an iPhone 4 in a bucket of soapy tap water used for cleaning windows and used rice, desiccant packs and very minimal heat from an oven (kept the oven door partially open, on lowest setting, with phone in zip-loc bag of rice and desiccant). The desiccant packs I used were from good ol' Wal-Mart, they are made by Winchester and I spotted them hanging behind the counter in the sporting goods department; they are meant to be used in a 5-7 cu. ft. gun safe, so they were actually as big as the phone itself and could be "recharged" by leaving them in an oven for 5-6 hours on low heat. The "5-7 cu. ft." part excited me, as I was probably using them in a 5-6 cu. in. zip-loc bag..
After all that, the iPhone worked flawlessly, minus water stains under the screen from that nasty, soapy tap water, so maybe dunking it in distilled water is a good idea as the screens on these phones aren't fused together with the outer glass, like iPhones. Best of luck and let us know how it goes/your method!
I would agree with deepsunn.. since you didn't do anything while the water was still fresh on the phone, it's all dried up. I'd actually get some distilled water and just drop it in there, battery and all cards out. Then proceed with your drying procedure. That should get rid of any dried spots or stains on the inside of the glass and on the screen.
Well the past couple of days of having it in rice, the screen now has completely stopped working so i guess its time to pony up and pay my ins deductable

[Q] Is this camera lens condensation? how to remove it?

Okay guys, so I noticed that my phone camera possibly developed condensation on its lens. It happened after I moved it from cold water into a warmer zone. I tried putting it in a plastic bag with dry rice. Nothing happened(I kept the flaps closed, probably should have kept it open?).
So is this actual condensation or is it something else? Also, is using a hairdryer to blow hot air a good idea?
Any help at all would be appreciated from you guys

Actually, it does not interfere with the picture at all. But I have 2 issues.
1. It has grown closer to the center (After taking phone from air conditioned room to warmer room outside in the morning).
2. It looks ugly.

Okay, I'll be sure to try that.
P.S I live in a humid place near the sea, I will keep it in a box. Probably with dry rice again
Okay guys, I tried all of the above. Nothing worked. Should I use a hair dryer? I am afraid it might damage the lens.
Not sure if you already solved your problem, but what I did for my own phone was to open all the flaps and leave it overnight in a dry cabinet (used for storing of camera equipment). That is, of course, on the assumption you own a dry cabinet and that the problem is indeed water condensation (I can't see clearly from your attached photo).

Open a Xperia z to manually dry the speaker?

I was in the beach 2 days ago and I brought my xperia Z along. I decided that it was a good idea to take underwater videos and pictures above the water. They all looked great. The only problem is that, its been two days since that happened and my speaker is still muffled. It usually gets dry in a few hours, this time I'm worried it might have damaged for good. I believe that maybe little grains of sand made their way through the grill and are keeping the sound low or something else. Anyways, just wanted to ask if anyone can advise me on what to do. I had my C6002 since its release and have submerge it in numerous pools but never on a beach. Any help will be appreciated, thanks
Sent from my C6602 using xda premium
I wouldn't recommend open the device, you could lose the water resistance altogether.
My only advice would be letting the device on rice for a while with the flaps open.
Anyway, my take on this subject is this:
I wonder now why everyone thinks that kind of water resistance will make the phone indestructible.
For me, that water resistance (not waterproof) just makes me feel more confident about my device surviving water related accidents.
Just taking the device to the swimming pool defeats its certification (2 m deep pools are not uncommon, you know), splashing, swimming, just moving around under water, or even worst jumping into the water violently just multiplies the pressure around your device by more than those 0.1 bar.

Yeah that was my first reaction. I actually left it submerged for about 15 and after that I rinsed it on the shower with no avail. I havent blow dried it, I've read somewhere that might help. But thanks for the suggestions. I'll leave it with rice tonight and see if I have something positive to report tomorrow.

After spending the night on a ziplock bag full of rise and turned off, I'm happy to report that the speaker is as good as new. I'm super happy. Now, there's one weird issue. Its in another thread, but suddenly I have dead pixels in my camera. See the light switch on the left and notice how there is a black dot on either side. These are persistent around every photo I take. Any thoughts?

You are probably going to eventually destroy the water proof membrane inside the speaker if you continue to do that. Not good advice.

Well it's your choice but it takes a quick spray and it'd back to normal.

Amazingly, I left the phone over night on a bag of rice and not only did it fix the issue it had another unexpected effect. Now, when I wet the speaker its back to normal almost immediately. I was at a lake yesterday, used the phone to record under water, take photos, and guess what? It was fully loud each time almost immediately after I got out of the water. This phone hasn't seize to impress. I highly recommend to consider the rice. Often times, naturally aspired solutions are the better choice.

This has been floating around for a couple weeks now. It does very well in the test. Yes.
It has since come out that it is ipx3 certified. Which means it can take splashes.. etc. Although submerging it is more then a splash. All in all, its a good unadvertised feature. But I won't be testing it out myself.
Waterproof and water resistant are 2 completely different things.

Amazing that the edge of the sink didn't move at all most of the times but the phone and surface of the water did (the edge of the sink moved 2 times, but in 4 of the phone moves it didn't). The phone in the water was definitely moved and the hand moving it was edited out. Changing the filming phone position wouldn't have caused ripples in the water.

All I can say is, either way, whether the phone was moved or not, it was obviously submerged in water for a decent period of time. It was at least a few minutes at a time. That's a pretty solid statement, although I'm still not brave enough to test it for myself.... I'm sure an iPhone or most other phones would be done after touching water. I had a Blackberry back in the day that fell into a shallow puddle for maybe two seconds. It never worked again.
