Hello!
I flashed a new kernel for my smoothie rom. And when i go to the wifi settings on/off button is locked on. In wifi settings there is only a text "Starting WIFI".
I think it's not working because the kernel has lowered wifi voltage.
Does anybody else have same problem?
I'll be very grateful if someone would find a fix for this problem.
:good:
Only an idea:
Did you a restart of your device (after flashing kernel)???

I flashed Phenom Kernel v6.1 for 4.3, and wifi is not working anymore. Someone had the same problem there, I don't know how to change my router's channels. Any other ideas?
Ps. I would like to post to dev page, where this kernel is but I can't do that because I don't have over 10 posts in this forum. Isn't that pretty stupid?

Hello,
I'm having problems with wi-fi connection,in fact it doesn't connect at all.
I'm running on CyanogenMod 10.1 i also was in slim bean before CM,and in slim bean the wi-fi connection problem started.
First when i put in the Slim bean, the Wi-Fi worked for a week ,then it didn't worked anymore.
The option "On-Off" to connect,it's often disabled so i can't even turn it on to search, and sometimes when i turn it on,it just keeps looking for Wi-Fi and nothing appears, though i have Wi-Fi in my house.
Does anyone know what should i do ?
p.s i got samsung galaxy s1 gt-i9000

As you can see, issues regarding Wi-Fi connectivity is related to the kernel that's installed. Try flashing a different kernel and check if it has any improvements.

if your device is i9000, I suggest go for Devil Kernel it's been great since then. Just download the zip file put it in your storage, go to recovery (CWM) and flash it in there. There are instructions in that thread. Godspeed!

Does anyone has any idea what the problem might be ?
I just install this Rom on my SGA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2153950), and the vibration don't work properly. I don't know if its something in the settings of the phone or if its a problem of the Rom. In other ROMS, the vibration work, so I think that it's not a problem of my phone.
Can anyone check if with this ROM the vibration work?
Note: I don't post this on the development post of the Rom, because this account is new, and nowadays I can't do it.

Haven't tried the ROM but it is based on Wayland's Cm 10.1 beta 7. In that ROM vibration works.
This is no post for a dev thread. Well done.
Thanks, but it not solve my problem

Thanks, but this not solve my problem. Maybe can be something of configuration, if it is, what I have to change?.
Maybe can be something related to the kernel, if I changed, can work? If it's the case, what kernel do you recommend me?
Thanks a lot

When I installed Wayland's beta6 a custom kernel was installed automatically. This kernel can be downloaded here: http://android.cas-online.nl/ (go to downloads, it is erikcas' homepage)
However I can not guarantee that it will work. Try it on your own risk.
Hello xda
I know there quite a few posts out there with people detailing their phones rebooting randomly but my phone just hit a new level of weird.
My i9000 reboots randomly into cwm recovery menu for no good reason (I know there is another thread about this but that instance is on the Nexus S and the thread has basically died). This started occurring shortly after I flashed slim ROM 4.2.2 build 5 (came from CM10.1 nightlies). Flashing the rom again and updating it to build 6 has done nothing to alleviate the issue.
I'm using the Semaphore kernel with no OC or changed settings, and having recently bought a new battery, I'm really not sure where to start looking for the problem.
If anyone can give me some tips it'd be greatly appreciate, thanks in advance.

hi
randomly i will got this problem if i m flashing backward. like from 4.2.2 - 4.2.1, or 4.1.x to 4.0.x. or repeatedly changing between kernel (i always do this to modified ROM to suits my settings n need) its probably due to changing partition in system or kernel clash (even i did all wipe) in internalsd.
Sorry to say. it will come worst sometimes if u ignore da problem or keep flashing ROM to avoid it. 'Luckily' about 2 hour ago my sgs just did. Constantly booting to recovery n its juz bootloop between kernel splashscreen n sgs white splashscreen after it.3 combo button will not working for recovery n only download mode accessible.
no more method for me . Juz flashing back to stock firmware JVU +CF-ROOT with odin was da answers
but if u dont familiar with odin.seek guide here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149455
but use it as ur last method!
clashing between titan.....no! kernel maybe da reason.do some wiping before changing kernel or ROM. n format system if necessary before flashing!

Reboots into CMW with Slim Bean 4.3 and Semaphore
Hi guys, any news on the subject? Exactly the same thing happening to me. I did a clean installation of Slim 4.3, after using CM10 and everything seems to be working perfectly except it reboots into CWM every 1-2h!!! I haven't changed any configuration and didn't mess with the kernel that came with the ROM, which is Semaphore... Is it a kernel issue? Should I try to flash the latest version?

I run into the same problem with my current update of my I9000 to CM 10.2.1 and the Semaphore Kernel 3.3.0 (JB).
Any ideas on this issue from the pros?
I realized that it was happening to me only when I was loosing the network coverage, like being in the underground or roaming or things like that... I don't know if it happens to everyone but in my case it's definitely this. If there is no network available my phone will boot into recovery after a while. If the signal is OK, it doesn't happen. Maybe it has something to do with the modem?!

Deactivate Deepidle in Semaphore manager app and these reboots should be gone.
Did the trick for me.

Hi all i'm new !
I'll explain
Today I installed CM10 on my xperia x8 the nAa kernel which ending in .32
Everything is normally installed, the phone started but WiFi won't work
Whenever I activate it, it turns off automatically and I can't connect to the Internet.
Do you have a solution?
Sorry for my bad english, i'm french^^
Maybe you've flashed wrong one, flash nAa-5 or 6 kernel because it uses newer wifi driver.
Same problem.
Unofficial CyanogenMod 10 + nAa-jb-06
I have the E15_2.6.32.61-nAa-06, so i must to install 05 ?
I tested with 05, wifi won't work :/

Did you try flashing stock FTF to find out if the problem lies in your hardware or is it a software problem?
My best guess is a hardware one I am afraid.
Quote me back if you expect a reply.

Can you please try a STOCK rom and tell me that ? If many people are complaining about it after a specific kernel/Rom, I assume this is a software issue which would be only fixed by a developer who is working on that particular rom/kernel.
Good luck

This confirms the problem is with custom ROM and your hardware is perfectly fine! This could be due to irregular regulation of power in your ROM/ kernel. Have you undervolt it a lot or something like that especially GPU?

Developer of the ROM can in this case. You can change them manually too but I don't suggest it
