Hi everyone! I'm having some issues. I made the jump to install a custom rom and so far I like it, with the exception that I have no Google Play app and have no way to install my old apps or anything. Is there anything I can do?
Go back to the ROM page and Install Google gapps package. That's where the play store app is.

I got rooted HTC one, rooted without flashing any ROM. I'm running Sense 5 Android 4.1.2 with TWRP Recovery.
1. I've installed the installer version of google play v4.1.10 from the link on page 1
2. Then i tap the Install and Reboot button
3. My phone rebooted, but the Google Play reverted back into the old version without any mod (modded google play got smile face on the icon)
So what did i do wrong? Why the google play cannot be modded? Can anyone help me?

It's a system app. You need to remove the system protection from the kernel. There's a thread in dev section explaining how.

So recently I installed Cyanogen Mod and I noticed that there was no Play Store. So I just went and downloaded it, and when Im launching it, it just closes immediately. Help please

So? You flashed CM without gApps? That's why you should always read EVERYTHING in a ROM OP before flashing.
As you said if there was no play store you didn't flash Google Apps after flashing CM 11.
Just downloading and installing play store doesn't work as you need the play services as well.
The easiest way would be to uninstall/delete play store and flash Google Apps (Gapps) suitable for CM 11 ( Android 4.4.2). I would suggest PA's 0- Day Gapps. Just search for them in the Android Development Apps section, flash them and it should work

My play store running normel and i can install free apps but cant make any purchases either a paid apps or inapp purchases..also i cnt sign in to google+ in all apps and games on my phone :/
I was runnig cm11 and flashed the gapps provided in a xda thread and every thing was fine but later ive made a full wipe of phone in twrp (ticked all options) and flashed cm11 again then gapps and after that m facing the problems that ive mentioned above
So anyone have a solution?
Also it will be usefull if someone running cm11 on his s3 mini posted the exact version of the apps (and if possible upload them or post a direct link ):

Hi,
I have an m8, and i can't seem to download the app from Google Play, cause apparently it doesn't compatible with my device.
From reading online about i know it's not true. I can only assume it's some how connected to the face that my phone is rooted.
So i wondered how can i still download and install the app ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated as I'm about to get a new car in which i can use the app on it.

Well i solved the problem .
Apparently the stupid Play Store decided on it's own that the app is not compatible.
and it's apparently doing so to a lot of other device that are compatable with the app.
So, all i did was to download the app apk from AppMirror.
Although the new version 1.6 didn't work, but when i installed 1.5 the app worked like a charm.
Hope it will help others that want to install to app but can't do so from the Play Store.
