i was just wondering if somebody could help me to find the APK for the official HTC Scribble APP.
Running ARHD 31 with Sense 5.5 but it seems to be just supported by the HTC ONE MAX.
Is it even possible to install it on the m7 ?!

Should be, screen size and specs are the same. We need someone with a Max to extract it.
Might need to be flashed from recovery or put in /system/app though, not sure.

Update: Here it is, just remember the file format is unique so it's not like evernote or anything, a few people have been surprised at that. But I'm sure it can be converted.

Let me try one from another rom. I don't think it will work on 4.2.2 if I had to guess, without a change or two but I'm no apk compiling expert or scribble expert.
For the other user I'm thinking though that it was in ARHD 30 and Mike removed it because so many people asked that it pulled and the old notes put back for 31 and I'd think reinstalling it would be easy. But that might have been insert coin or footballer's rom. I've flashed a lot in the last few days and read all of their rom threads for the last couple of weeks. Anywho, I'm pulling it from insert coin. will update shortly.

Works great in ARHD 31. Just put it in /system/app and it works fine.
BTW Thanks Evil Dragon for confirming that the upload wasn't corrupted on my end.

Not installed even after I move it under system/app.
Works fine on mine, didn't even have to reboot. Just copied to system/app and set permissions.

Hey, I did a dirty fix til I've fully understood how Metamorph works
As always, nandroid/bart backup and then you can do 1 of two things.
1. If you've got ADB set up, fire up cmd (win+r cmd) and write:
Code:
cd \
adb remount
adb push framework-res.apk system/framework/
adb reboot
Make sure your framework-res.apk is positioned in C:\ or whatever the main drive letter.
2. Put the .apk on your sdcard and open up your favorite file explorer, copy it, navigate to root and then to system/framework. Paste it and reboot.
Good luck

EDIT: Ow, the color of the text that represents the percent is black and therefore blends in with the background. I'll see if I can find one with white text.
EDIT2: Fix'd. The new one should work, but as always be sure to nandroid just in case

I'm getting the same problem, I'll see if it's something related to the apk
I won't be able to do a port but I'm sure I've seen it be done for the hero, so I could try digging it up.
EDIT: It could be some kind of limitation in the kernel only allowing the battery to go in increments of 20 %. If anyone got a solution I'd be glad to hear it.

UPDATE I modified the Cognition 2.3 Beta 4 (Froyo) framework-res.apk and put in the monochrome battery mod. Power button menu works fine with this. I'm not quite sure who all created these I just mixed them.

EDIT: Because the framework-res.apk is different on the latest Cognition v2.3b1+ (naturally since it's a different Captivate Froyo version), I created a new framework-res.apk for those. It's attached here. I will probably only keep the oldest and newest that I have available here. The first is for Cog 2.2B9 and the second is for Cog2.3B4.

It's just a themed LauncherPro. I believe the theme name is "Dreamly". Unfortunately, I honestly don't know where I downloaded it from.

Essentially yes. Because I'm not too familiar with ADB, I used Root Explorer. This is the exact process I used.
I first ransferred meter-framework-res.apk to my SDCard on the phone. Then opened Root Explorer on the phone and navigated to sdcard. I copied meter-framework-res.apk to /system/framework folder. I then renamed the original framework-res.apk to framework-res.apk.old. Then renamed meter-framework-res.apk to framework-res.apk. Then finally rebooted.

I think the framework must of changed from froyo ji6 to the new one so modifications will have to be made for it to work. Hopefully its possible tho cause I really like this mod.

If normal installation didn't work out well for you, use the method below.
Procedure to install via Root Explorer Method
1. Download the apk file from the above link to your sd card.
2. Now using Root explorer, go to /system/app
3. Mount the system to r/w.
4. Now search for Vending.apk & rename it to Vending.apk1
5. Copy the file you just downloded to /system/app & rename it to Vending.apk
6. Now press & hold the app and select Permissions
7. Select only the options given below. Now REBOOT & enjoy.....

I think you need to replace Vending.apk. First you try to install like a normal application, if it doesn't then replace your Vending.apk (it might install as an update).
I just installed the apk from Dropbox and it worked perfectly.
You shouldn't need to replace in /system/app manually
Is the download link in the OP for a apk file or a zip? I dloaded and it came thru as a zip file. I tried installing thru cwm but the installation aborted. When i explored the file thru astro file I found no apk inside it. How do I install this or am I completely missing something

the reason that market not working could be the file name ..
and I themed this market pretty different from before..

i tried from my phone and didnt work. tried from pc and copied the apk to phone and then it worked

everytime i push the file i get

I flashed the. Zip and it works, still shows the Friends section but no more Facebook pictures thanks

This file is only for de-oxed rom.
I asked Riyal now.
You have to restore a backup for your gallery, sorry.

Is there any way to fully remove the Facebook Pictures (Friends) Frame that remains after flashing this Mod?
I know the Dev said he left it so it is still usable if you want the FB pics to show but I never want my FB pics visible in my Gallery? I would love to be able to remove entire Facebook integration entirely.

Just remove the odex file in system partition... in adb you could do this...
adb shell
rm /system/app/HtcAlbum.odex
then reboot your phone. Gallery app should show up after doing this.
Why not change it to album view and hide facebook. Unless your talking about the main screen in gallery

Just making sure you're aware most if not all modifications of system apps require that your current rom be de-odexed.... don't blame the nice gentleman that posted the mod here as this is common knowledge for those who root.
So I just went into root explorer moved the original APK from system/app installed new APK to system/app and cleared cache and it worked

After every boot, HTCAlbum.odex reappears. I've used both ADB, and es file explorer to delete. Any suggestions?
is it not the same thing as hiding the facebook album in the album settings?

I'm not sure. My album isn't working right now, so I'm just going to install the deodex stock rom.

Christian works as a motion Graphic Designer specializing in information graphics, and his current clients include Al Jazeera and UK-based TV network ITV.
Graphic designer and Android theme maker Brian Roberts took Christian’s animation and turned it into a boot animation, originally.

Using a file explorer such as Root Explorer, Now copy this file to system/media

Doesn't work....
This "mod" doesn't work. Nothing happens when I replaced this file with my stock one. In fact, I deleted this file, re-installed my stock one and now I don't even get the stock boot up screen. Nice.

I had the same problem. Just install the 'bootanimations' app from the play store by jrummy, locate the zip from inside the app, tap and hold, then click install and boom, you're done. Hope this helps.

Okay, thanks! This solved the issue. Question now is, what did "bootanimations" do differently that I couldn't do manually?

Nothing. You just failed to set permissions properly to rw-r-r (644) for the file to work. Now you know so manual or not you can make it work.

Sounds like you aren't changing the permissions.

Thank you and you were correct, I never changed the permissions. "Bootanimations" app deleted.
