Hello,
I searched all over the forum , but I found nothing
I have my Atrix HD for 2 days now, it was on ICS but I upgraded to JB,
I don't like the slow waking up of JB when you press the power botton.
So I decided to downgrade to ICS,
My question is : Is it possible to do that using RSD without unlocking the boot loader ?
Thanks
Someone help me guys ,
Quick answer is no.

No. The ics libs and drivers aren't fully compatible with the jb kernel.
Ok thanks guys
I'll add that I'm currently unlocked and running Bell ICS. If you can unlock it's worth doing. Stock ICS is leagues ahead of our Stock JB. To me, JB was a downgrade disguised as an update.

Thanks very much,
I will do it tonight. I don't have warranty, but I heard about a permanent boot logo that tells that this phone is BL unlocked , that put me off.
I will read about that tonight and downgrade .
Thanks again

That's easily changed. Just gotta flash a different boot logo. The exploit flashes a new logo if its successful. Kind of a confirmation before you even boot.

Excellent, I got it .
So no side effects of BL unlocking , but tons of benefits.
Will do this now.
Thanks very much
Done
Unlock Bootloader using Motoapoclypse --- > Then Mythtools to downgrade system to ICS
Now I'm on Stock ICS.
Very easy
Thank you everyone, you are really helpful .

Should be no issues at all to flash this over my home-made fastboot of 81.5.39002. You won't even have to wipe your data at all

No, SIM lock has nothing to do with what Rom the phone is running. Please ask in Q/A about SIM locks.
Can you upload a untouched not rooted version?
Would be great thanks.

Does this rom have a "new" Radio/Baseband Firmware included ?
How good is this version?? I mean... quadrant or antutu score, I have the latest retail brazil firmware and is an excellent one, the only problem is that I can't get root.
matt
as it seems that my phone is not elligible to be rooted according to the motorola website does this mean that if I use this "routine" it will unlock my phone and root it so I can remove waste apps etc
excuse the ignorance but I want to be sure
thanks
whats the news for that rom?
Matt, any comments about flashing this over .3900 gb retail to try and work around the current inability to upgrade to 4.1.2?
How would it effect a currently unlocked / rooted version? We wouldnt be digging a deeper hole would we?

For upgrading and downgrading you should be using the Homemade fastboots.
Hi, when I flashed this I got bootloop - so for me at least, DO wipe data. Also, root seems to appear, but every app on my phone complains that there is no root. I'm trying to find what root we used for ICS ...
UPDATE: Ok I uninstalled all superuser material and tried the ICS mototofail (locked bootloader, I didn't realise the BL would be relocked after downgrading) and some apps are accepting root status -some still say no root-. That is progress.
Hai, Anyone can upload Stock 81.5.31002 GB ICS say in homemade fastboot or CWM? Thanks.
is that stock kernel have a "2way callrecording patch" inside ?
Needs reup, unless you can point me someone else that doesn't 404

Hello to all and sorry for approximate English!!!
I have bricked my razr I after to have used RSD lite and at the time of restarting that this has never restarted!!!
Now I have a green diode which ignites during a few seconds then 2 rumble and it off.
Thus RSD lite does not re-know it any more, once connected on a PC, I just have the right(law) for the green led lit(switched on) longer!!!!
And sometimes my PC tries to install a driver MEdfield which it never finds!!!
It can it be a solution?
Have you other solution ?
did u downgrade from JB to ICS with rsd lite? Than your Razr i is one giant brick. At the moment there is no solution for that.
And if u didnt do that, i am sorry, i dont know the solution.

At the material level the solution it is what to change the motherboard mother of the such and if yes how many cost?

I did the same brick, with unlocked bootloader. Then i sent it to the warranty and said that an cable update failed. After 10 days, they said it was totally dead, then they gave me a totally new Razr i, with the box and everything.
Since the werent able to make it run, they didn't know the bootloader was unlocked.

LG has chosen to be on the new boot loader with different partitions....thats it (I suppose only that....dont know more as a noob myself)
but moving from old boot loader (GB) to the new boot loader (ICS) back and forth is easy....use the All in One Tool Kit by Spyrosk.....

Just a question on that: Why would you not stay on the new bootloader? To try another ROM for the old bootloader?
Right now I am on new bl and I thought probably future development will be focused on it, so that's why I am staying..
So I guess the advantage is to get most ROMs first and probably more ROMs in future?!

What's it based on? ICS or JB?
I know the the EUR bootloaders can only be unlocked at this time, but is anyone currently working on a bootloader unlock for the rest of us? Or is there a workaround that I can't seem to find anywhere on the internet? Call me desperate but i really want this thing unlocked. It was a pain in the nads waiting for root and now I got screwed out of an unlocked bootloader. I'm on SW version: 988020b-466-92.
They haven't find a solution for locked bootloaders. I hope they will find a solution soon

The bootloader is only unlockable with Jelly Bean, ie. v20a/b/c. If you're still in a v10x, you need to update your phone's OS to JB before trying to unlock your bootloader. You can do it simply with the LG official tool.

I would say, since the camera BL unlock bug is fixed just unlock the bootloader.
Then you have no worries about root
Yes i had my phone already on 2,3 GHz..this is the S800 stock clock speed, but Sony has downclocked it to 2,15 on stock.

If I'm not wrong, if you want to overclock, you'll need a custom kernel, which requires an unlocked bootloader.
