I see 2 different areas, LG Optimus 4X Development and LG Optimus 4X Original development, since in both these forum areas there are mod-firmware discussions, I don't have understand what are the main differences.
I suppose that Original development there are firmware more similar to the official release... right?
I have used only one time a cyanogen firmware(a year ago with a Galaxy) and I have experienced a better ram usage but worsening of FM radio and photo and video quality (that for me are very important features)
Since I'm considering to use a Cyanogen again on this Lg I want to understand Generally pros and cons between
-Official Lg Firmware
-Firmware Cyano in Original development
-Firmware Cyano in Development
NOTE
In respect of forum rules
My request is not a detailed firmware comparison request, I need only to know the main pro and cons of each firmware category and their main differences
Thanks
What about thaking a look at "Original Android Development - what belongs here? "
Also, Questions should go into the Q&A section ----> moved

What would be the possibility of a separate kaiser section for android and linux in general ?
The rom section is really confusing... and having all the resources separated in general/software/rom devel is really contraprducent.
What's everyone opinion?
So you are thinking those 10 or so threads need their own forum?
I don't think so, just go to the forum and search for android, droid or linux..
ALL TOO EASY!
Hi Guys,
CyanogenMod just updated the CM10 for P990.
I checked the previous version: cm-10.1-20130122-NIGHTLY-p990.zip
Problems:
1) Wi-Fi connection problem (Normal Carrier internet works fine)
2) Battery gets drains like hell.
3) Get hot fast.
Any info on the 23 one?
Thanks,
Deepak.
there are already a CM10.1 bug/user threads (in general section of Optimus 2x forum) so what's the point of making the new thread with the question/info that belongs there?
learn xda structure before you post something...

Hey many Phones have 2 Development in their forum ? Android Development and Original Development ? Whats the difference ? In original development are mostly CM and very popular Roms/Kernels. In Android Development. What do you mean with ORIGINAL ?
Sent from my LG Optimus 4X HD using xda-developers App
You have the answer to your question in a topic named "Original Android Development - what belongs here?". I't the very first one, so you kinda can't miss it.
Looking for the best ROM or Kernel? The fastest ROM or Kernel? Head over to the development section and try a few for yourself. We do not allow threads asking about the best/fastest ROM/Kernel at XDA. Please do not create threads comparing ROMs or Kernels. Any of these threads created no matter how they are titled will be closed/deleted.
Thanks!

Model number: C6903

Baseband : 8974-AAAAAANAZQ-
Kernel: 3.4.0-perf-g8330588....
Build number: 14.2.A.1.136
I saw the main thread in the forum, but realy got lost on it with all the stuff to check...
Kindest regards in advance,
Othman.
Welcome to the Sony world!
But what's the meaning of our post? You want custom rom. Ok and now?
If you have a question regarding a particular rom, ask in the rom thread.
If you have a general question, post in Q&A
If you have to tell something general, post in General.
But this is dev section. Your post is nothing about development, so the mods will move your post.
Perhaps you could ask a concrete question - after the moving of the post.
btw, reading, reading and reading again - that's the quite hard job for users. You are not alone with this quest. :silly:
Good luck and much fun with your Z1.
We do not allow best ROM/Kernel threads on XDA. What is best for someone else may not be what is best for you as everyone has their own needs and their own idea of what's best. Best advice is to head over to the development section, try some out and see which best suits your needs.
