Just wondering if anyone else if having the issue I have been having. I got my Gear from the US (I'm Canadian) and my Note 3 here in Canada. When I first got it it had the ChatON app preinstalled and I used it heavily because I could reply by sending a voice message. Anyway after doing an update and a reset it was no longer there and of course you cannot download it on their App Store. Was this a location things, only available in some areas? Anyway to get it back or does anyone have the file? It would make it so much better for me.

I'm not having any luck at finding it. Would you mine posting a screen image of the ChatON app in your Gear Store. Thanks so much.
It's in my store.. sprint galaxy S4 on 4.2.2 though I edited the build prop to note 3. Ever since the edit and reinstall of gear manager I managed to pick up a few more apps too.

Having the same problem where the chat on app for galaxy gear is not available to download. This apk, do you install on the phone or the gear itself cause I cannot get it to work.

Just pulled the apk file from post #5. Downloaded and installed on phone, but do not see it in gear Manger or on the gear. What am I doing wrong?

I have it with my S4 and can find and download the Gear Manager in Samsung APPS. Search for Gear and find "Samsung GALAXY Gear Manager".
Not everything working but ok.

I'm using Gear with my Galasy S4 and already when i was on 4.2.2 i found Gear manager at Samsung Apps.but now with leaked firmware 4.3 all works like a charm.
[Gear with Galaxy S4 or Any Galaxy Series] ... First of all, Galaxy Gear will only works with Galaxy (with Android 4.3), but at the moment they are with Android 4.2.2, so ... you will check out the apps for Gear and your Galaxy HERE below :

If your rooted and have the 4.3 leak everything works most of the apps work on 4.2.2 roms

Are you sure in 4.3 everything works. Because I tried 2 different touchwiz 4.3 roms. And none of them worked. Gear manger said device was not supported

I'm running Hyperdrive on my s4 and the svoice notification is as far as I get too. I'm tempted to try a 4.3 and see if anything works better

It works but not everything. S VOICE, weather, txt and email alert doesn't work on me using a 4.2.2 rom.
Media control, answer/make calles, change watch face, install apps via apk not using thw samsung app store all work. I'm sure that are other things that work and other things that don't work. I just can't remember all right now

Not that I notice anything monumental on saving juice. Maybe, there would be a significant change once my S4 is on 4.3 JB cuz I know I can check notifications, use S-voice as it's meant to be and what not so less time unlocking the phone and screen usage... although phone's BT is running all the time so Gear could remain tethered to it but i believe it's BT 4.0 LE*, right?
*LE, Low Energy... though am not sure it's got a real world impact or just a marketing scheme...

Nope I didn't see any faster battery drain on my note 3 9005
Alright, so I have been tinkering with my watch and have a few questions. I have rooted my watch and installed busy box, and all is going well so far. Additionally, I am using my watch with my S4, rather than my Note 3. I wanted this topic to be more of a few questions and general discussion/clarification.
I have installed the newest Gear Manager and when I go to Weather on the watch I get "Add city to weather widget on mobile device" but it never seems to sync. I have added a location to the weather widget. Is this by chance just a feature thats not quite working on the S4 yet, or am I missing something?
Pedometer - When I try to send my steps to SHealth it fails to sync. Also, known S4 issue, or missing something?
Gear Manager - Unable to install apps - When I navigate to My Apps > Featured > MyFitnessPal for Samsung Galaxy Gear (or any other app), I select Install, and I get "Product does not exist in this store(4002)". Im guessing this is because the Samsung store is reading my S4 build.prop and determining there are no compatible apps.
In re the last topic, could someone send me the APK from their watch for this app, Ill side load it.
I am at the office and want to install some apps via ADB, but don't have my cradle handy. Is there any way to get an APK to the watch that anyone can think of?
I am working on recompiling the stock camera app that does not have the shutter sound. Ill share when I get it done.

Gear is rooted, running smart launcher, a few games, camera silent hack, and everything is still working.

Which 4.3 ROM are you using? Looking for support on a 4.3 ROM for a Sprint GS4

My brother just brought galaxy gear but he's on att with an s4 what 4.3 s4 roms works best with the gear also with almost a stock feel. I need help answering this as I have a note 3. Hopefully someone on here has an att s4 and a working galaxy gear

i have an S4 and cannot get weather or texts to work! Samsung needs to give us 4.3 on the ATT i337 now!

the app I want is chat on for gear.. yet when I install from the app store it has an error.. due to the device being on 4.2.2

Just like the title says. I have a Sprint note 2 on synergized 4.3 and flashed the note 3 features zip and can no longer receive weather updates on my Null_14 powered gear. If I don't flash the note 3 features it works fine. When I click the auto update weather in gear manager settings I get "WeatherDaemon(eur) has stopped" I guess the note 3 features zip is breaking the accuweather sync even though I get Weather just fine on the home screen widget of my phone. Just not syncing to my gear. Thought I would ask here since I don't know how many gear users are in the synergized thread. Thanks

Same thing happens with the Skynote 4.3 N3 ROM. Haven't been able to find a fix

Thanks for responding. Now I can stop going crazy repeating all these rom flashes. Thought it might have been just my setup. I've tried clearing cache and data of the weather daemon in system/apps. I tried copying in a whole other weather daemon.apk but nothing works. I guess it's either note 3 apps, or weather on the gear. Take your pick...lol

LOL! I know exactly what you're talking about. I flashed re-flashed updated downgraded restored cussed and then finally gave up and just accepted the fact that it's not gonna work.
The fix is to not flash something for a device it wasnt intended for?

Has anyone experience problem with limited app choice in samsung app store?
I've recently submited app for samsung app store, and it seems like samsung is categorizing gear apps by phone + gear model.
Everything is ok, but some models (notably Note 3 + Gear 1 Tizen) are missing from the list, so I can't download my (GetUp! Alarm Clock) and any other new app from the store. I just have some basic apps + watch faces which really sucks
Expecially that Note 3 + Gear 1 is quite popular combo.
Anyone can confirm this? What can we do about that?

Quick fix: I've masked my Duos as a normal S3 using Device Spoofer.
Over hand: Nerving Samsung. I cant see any sence of that. Its Bullsh...
BTW. Havent found you app. Maybe is also restricted to the country

That's strange.
I have selected all countries availiable so it shouldn't be the case.
It seems I can't be sure where and how my app is avaiable... And I don't have any way to verify it...
The only hint I have are two user comments, both written from S5 / gear 1 tizen.
I am running a nexus 5. I spoofed the Samsung s5. And am able to install the Samsung app store and browse apps. Sadley downloading/installing give me a fail. However the galaxy gear manager does not have a list for the Samsung apps market. Either the on android or tizen

Install all files provided in this zip package and pair as usual. Calls and notifications work fine.

on my device,on the gear,i just bought a galaxy gear 1st gen off of a friend and paired it with my jiayu S3S (64bit mtk soc),am still very green when it comes to smart wear this is my first,i think i have rooted the gear,(not sure for certain),and am looking to flash a custom rom and/or kernel to the device,sorry to go a little off topic in your thread

Install on the phone. If this doesn't work for you then a custom ROM for the gear should be your best bet

So i installed these files on my Nexus 6 Lollipop and it WORKS!. Only issue I have left is the extended notifications are not working. I am using Textera for SMS and not the default messaging app so i cannot get SMS notifications. Anyone have any ideas?

I did and i also rebooted the phone. The watch notifies me of incoming calls and i can change the clock....

Calls are directed to the gear and for some reason I can't add my bluetooth headset as the audio only. i have tried diabling the phone audio option for the Gear but it still sends the calls to it. I'll keep messing around with the settings to see how it works. Last night I was able to install watchstyler on the phone by installing the apk and i can use those clocks now. Also, the watch is on non-stock Android rom from these forums.

Hi, you are using Gear1? Tizen or Android? Sounds very interesting if this procedure works with gear manager 2.2, gear1 tizen and non Samsung lollipop!

FYI, I tried using the default messaging app on Lollipop but I still cannot see SMS on the GG1.

Hello Friends, i have the Galaxy Gear with a HTC One M7 ... apparently works but i have two issues,
1) the pics taked by the gear did not sync with the phone.
2) The gear have not load the phone contacts. (There is really important for me)
Somebody have information about it?
