As you'll be able to see in the pic, in low lights or even a bit of light the camera has very much noise like burning fire no matter what mode I am using superior auto or manual but when I change ISO to 400 the noise tends to almost disappear but still does, so by not messing things up is this a common software issue? I had tried several camera apps all are the same is this software or hardware/lens issue? I am running on latest 2.257 firmware

Erm, could you post a few actual pictures please? The viewfinder does NOT display the quality of eventual images as it does not apply any processing. The view from the viewfinder will always be hella-noisy. (that's a term, right? Down with the kids, me )
Actual results can be as good as this:

After upgrading to CM5.0.7.1 from 5.0.6, I noticed that the camera is showing a "cooler" color tone which leans toward the blue spectrum. Kinda like the Droid Incredible's camera in the comparison below.
http://androidandme.com/2010/05/phones/the-incredible-camera-showdown-droid-incredible-vs-nexus-one/
I feel that the Nexus One's "natural" color saturation is gone. Has anyone else notice this? How does one revert back to the original Eclair's camera firmware without losing 5.0.7.1? The Nexus One's superior natural-color matching was the key to beating out the Incredible's 8 megapixel camera.
i noticed this a little bit on a pic i took the other day after the update, will play around a bit more today and the weekend to see.
sure looks like some sort of vignetting or something, red looks more red and in another shot the blue looks more blue, not sure if i like it or not

Solved it. Tried experimenting with different roms and just happened to find one solution that worked.
Wiped and reflashed to 5.0.5.3. Then upgraded to 5.0.7.1 without wiping. Now the camera's original color saturation is back. Dunno why this worked, but I suspect that the 5.0.7.1 may have a different firmware for the camera (Droid perhaps?). Apparently, upgrading without wiping keeps your original N1 camera settings. Just a hunch.
When you disable the watermark/logo in settings, do you still have a white foggy area above the phone? See photo. I am not sure if this is the just to use as a contrasting background for the black font watermark or if my camera is faulty. However surely if you remove the watermark in settings then the white fog should be removed too as it is not needed anymore?
So do I have a problem or is it normal with all the cameras?

Yes, mine does too. Seems to be Huaweis way of hiding the camera / phone from the shot
Is there any way of doing long exposure shot with this camera?
Huawei specs says that camera has up to 30sec exposure

Not that I know of, the software would need to support it and it doesn't appear to at the moment.
Where is 2 k resolution?

In summary 1920x960 = 1843200 = 2K :cyclops: just marketing, nothing personal
This white overlay thing on the bottom of the 360 camera (white beneath huawei logo when on) is kind of annoying. Is there anyway this could be remove view editing the APK file.

Dorch - Dual TorchIts been a while that some newer devices devices now have both Front and Back flash for capturing photos so there but be an app for toggling both of them as torch.
Background:
I recently bought Moto Z Play that had both front and back flashlight but i couldn't find an App that can toggles both of them at same time in store (or maybe I am bad at searching), so I developed one.
Its just a clean simple app that serves the purpose of flashlight toggling and nothing else.

This device has only a rear flash.
Yeah, useless for our device, thanks anyway.
I would like a notification flash

I actually just flashed a zip in TWRP that enabled the notification LED by the speaker grill. Its pretty nifty to have a notify light again to blink when I have something to see. Really, I just wanted it to for charging purposes (I have some cables that are starting to go and I want to know if my phone stops charging without touching it, since that sometimes knocks it back into place temporarily), but the notify blinker is a happy side effect.
Got it from mods section on this page:

Can one get any closer than the XZ1?
That's definitely one of the drawbacks I find on the previous XZ series cameras. Wondering if they've improved it or not... since it's a similar module I think I know the answer.
Here's a crop of a garden spider I took a few days ago.
just tried to take a Macro... it needs about 7-10cm to get rid of the blur... i'll do some advanced testing with Manual Mode and a tripod

Okay... here we go...
Auto Mode:
10cm

9cm (already somewhat blurry)
8cm (totally blurry)
Difference Between Manual Mode an Auto Mode is almost nonexistent
Manual Mode:
Auto Mode:
(Keep in mind, the Imgur compression which destroys the picture.... too lazy to upload original picture)
Oh... and if you think you can just switch to Manual Mode and set Manual Focus distance to the minimum... well, check the two hidden pictures above... this one is the same excep Manual Focus distance instead of Auto... same distance.
So yeah.... it's even worse -.-
Seems about the same as the XZ1, that's what I figured (but with a sharper, cleaner image).
I've been spoiled by my old Lumia 950 XL's camera's macro ability I guess.
We'll have to see if the module in the XZ2 Premium or their newer 48mp fairs any better.
Focus setting will make the difference I think
Hello,
I bought a pixel 5a device 1.5 months ago. Frankly I have to say Phone speed , image quality , sound quality , ram management , battery backup, display everything is super fine for me . But unfortunately my pixel 5a's camera have some major issues . I didn't find any solutions for these issues though I mailed google support team several time also report an issue through feedback apps but no luck. My issues are :
1. Whenever I'm going to take a photo in low might mode or room light there's some (maybe 3-4) bars appear in my camera screen which is called as camera shutter speed mark.
2. In 4k mode video recording I'm not able to record a video more than 1.20 -1.30 minutes . After 1.30 minutes it shows that my device is too hot close camera until device is cools off.
so I want to know is there anyone who also facing the same issues like me ? and what is the solutions for these issues?
Thank You .

The overheating in 4k is a common issue from my understanding. My solution unfortunately was to switch video to 1080. It seemed to resolve that issue but needs to be fixed. I'm not a huge fan of 4k video, but know others have it. If a product offers a feature that feature shouldn't be crippled by hardware shortfalls.
