Hey guys,
I'm writing from Bosnia, and hope that I will not be such a pain in the neck or something, but I would really appreciate some assistance if it is possible.
Few days back I got HTC Vivid 4G almost for free, phone is brand new but there seems to be a problem with it.
When I press the power on button it comes to HTC logo and stucks there
When I press power and Vol- this is what I get:
*** UNLOCKED ***
HOLIDAY PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.85.0025
MICROP-0360
OpenADSP-v02.6.0.2226..00.0202
eMMC-boot
Mar 1 2012,17:09:49
Does this mean that the system on my phone is wiped clean, and I would appreciate if someone could give me a few pointers on how to boot the system and get it up and running again.
One more thing to mention is that when I connect phone to PC, it does not see it at all.
Hoping that you will help me I would like to thank you soo much.
Best Regards from Bosnia

Edo, do you have the word "Fastboot" in red on the screen? IF so you may be able to use ADB to revive it, otherwise try to unbrick using the instructions from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25501212

Since you can get to bootloader... You have 2 choices... Run an RUU... Or... You can try downloading a ROM... Use recovery to flash the ROM... And fastboot the boot.img from the ROM in fastboot...
Check the superguide in the development section for more detailed instructions...
Also... If you have the stock recovery.. You will find a custom one linked in the superguide to let you flash ROMs...

Yes I do. Day before yesterday I was able to access fastboot, and then I went to sleep and in the morning my battery was dead. I tried to connect it to the charger but the orange light pops up every minute or so, than comes on and off quicker, then it boots to HTC logo and switches off again. What the heck is going on?!

Thank you very much for clarification ma friend. I will order one immediately.
What version of Windows are you running?
And as far as I know, the sd card doesn't show up if you're only connected to fastboot.
If you pull the battery, then put it back in, then plug it in to the wall... if you keep the phone off does the orange light come on? Or does it turn on and get stuck?

To use ADB or Fastboot your phone has to be in USB Debugging mode Set this in Settings/Developer Options on the phone.
My HTC One is bricked and is not starting, HOW should I do that?

Manners cost nothing and generally help you to get a reply.
That being said, without further information it's hard to help..
What did you do to brick?
Can you get to bootloader?
Can you get to fastboot usb?
The more information you provide, the more help can be offered. Remember WE aren't holding your phone. WE can try things on it. That will fall to you, all we can do is offer suggestions based on as much information as you can provide.
If you bricked it trying to s-off or burning an RUU or accepting an OTA whilst you had a modded hboot then things might not be looking too good but without knowing, there's no help we can offer.

My HTC was kinda bricked 2 hours ago. Can't charge can't boot to recovery or boot loader . Only thing was try to reset using hold power + vol down but wasn't working . The capacitive buttons keep flashing forever
But I used the adb commands to get it back booting to recovery .
U need the adbfiles in the same folder as cmd command prompt usually it's win 32 if u start it in administration mode .
Type adb reboot bootloader

its best to put it in the same folder as the cmd starts from
Also its advisable to keep à rom zip handy in yr sdcard . In case things go wrong u dont need to rely on adb commands

Hey,
I didn't mean it bad. Also I didn't want real help since I actually gave up my HTC One...
Theres a big link in my signature with my "need help" topic.. Maybe you do know how to fix my One ^_^
Hi guys, I have the non-lte One running on 2.24.707.3. Today, I restored my stock nandroid (4.2.2) and then tried the rumrunner s-off (rumrunner_m7_2.24.401.1). It worked, and I was successfully s-off, superCID on hboot 1.54. I then flashed a modified hboot(descenpet_HBOOT_1.54_2.24_MOD) to remove the red warning. All went well. Later, while I was recieving a call, the phone got hung up, so I did a reset (holding the power + vol down buttons). The phone got switched off, but never booted back up.. I tried holding the power + vol down buttons but even the buttons aren't flashing.. Connecting it to my pc makes no connection sounds, and again holding the combo makes no difference. The charging light also doesn't light up. Please tell me what I should do, and whether it is a hard brick or soft brick. Thanks in advance.
Just press and hold the power button on it's own and see if anything happens

why did you use modified hboot now you are in serious trouble. As you are supercid download any ruu and try flashing and if your pc can connect via fastboot you can fix your phone. To check you must type in adb fastboot devices. if results are positive tell me i can help you then

I used a modded hboot to remove the red warning, have a look at this page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316726)
To do an RUU, I need to reboot in fastboot, but I can't even get the phone to charge.. Of course adb doesn't detect it..
Another point to note is that I rebooted several times after flashing the modded hboot, and it worked all those times, so this is just random... :'(
Why do people care about the red writing? Unless you're sending it to HTC for repair it makes no difference! It just leads to complications such as this

Well, 2 things
1: The process worked, ok? It's a perfect process to remove the red text, and the modded hboot also worked, I rebooted several times after flashing it.
2: The matter of the fact is that I am actually sending it in for camera replacement.. I guess I'll just tel them to replace the mobo along with it..
So, lets stop fighting like losers and find a way to get out of this situation! It'll help many people in the future

C'mon anybody? I can give more info if required, I'd prefer to know how to solve this myself, rather than relying on htc...

If it's not booting up , and you're stuck in that QDLOAD thing, it's usually the mainboard that's fried and HTC replaced the mainboard in my Sensation under the warranty when it happened to me. I was S-OFF at the time as well, and it came back 100% stock and working

I think most of the time, that's not something fixable unless by a service center. You may wanna check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2331454
For one guy the phone "magically" just started again, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Sorry mate.
Ok, thanks for the info.. Maybe I'll make a strong case. My phone was originally replaced with a new one within a week because of battery problems, and scratch marks that I didn't make.. Then the second one had its mobo replaced for that same battery problem, and now I was going to send this in for replacement because my lower speaker is louder than the upper, and my camera has the dreaded pink tint and my phone has a big gap on its side where the service center guys hadn't closed the phone properly..and now this.. Oh boy, am I gonna make a strong case!!

Okay, although I've read a lot and I've learnt quite some bit, I want to know that if it wasn't the phone that unexpectedly died, was it my mistake somewhere? So I'll start with what I did, step by step, please have a look and tell me if I did anything wrong
1. Originally on ViperOne, tampered and unlocked on hboot 1.54
2. Restored stock nandroid 4.2.2 (2.24.707.3)(India) unrooted
3. Downloaded rumrunner (the version that I previously mentioned)
4. Started the exe
5. Phone reboots 2-3 times, process completes at pouring(3)
6. Reboot to verify s-off
7. Restore ViperOne nandroid
8. Run Revone to reset tampered flag
9. Flash modified hboot to remove warning.. Succeeds, reboot to verify warning gone
10. Reboot like 5-6 times to admire at the bootloader
11. I got a call and my phone hung
12. Reset the phone by holding power+vol down
Aaand the phone never booted again..

Hello everyone!
Today I received my HTC One. I gues it is a demo phone. When I tried to get into bootloader it was all chinese. As I do not understood that language I tried to guess wich one was 'exit' pushed the last one in menu and it powered down. But now, when I turn it on, it vibrates, display blinks and nothing happens. When I hold volume up + power button it let's me choose between 4 boot options. Fastboot, normal boot, recovery mode, vart boot. Tried every option, but it still vibrates, blinks and nothing happens. Any ideas?

ok you bought a fake... I am very sorry for you. That has to be f*cking annoying. I think nobody can help you... but if you wanna take the risk of a hardbrick you might run through a RUU... but this will most likely hard brick your device...
Try this command here while in fastboot (use it on pc with cmd)

If you don't know how to install fastboot... just google it

Hi,
i updated my firmware from 4.19.401.11 to 5.11.401.10. My HTC has the cid HTC_102 and modelid PN0710000. The firmware is from this website android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html. After installing the firmware my HTC doesn't want to boot. Now i have tried the HTC Unbricking Project from dexter93 but in the terminal a error message appeared.
Is there a way to deal with 'permission denied'?

When you are saying it doesn't boot do you mean it gets stuck in a boot loop? Are you able to access the recovery?

Do you know if you got any battery left on it? Try putting it on AC Charge not usb. Then try holding down the Power button and Volume Up button for a couple seconds.
Did you try holding down power?

Leave it on charge for a couple hours and let's hope it works. Can you get into fastboot?

Give this a go found it on xda.
Option 1) Hold Volume Up & Down, then hold power for 90 seconds. Should vibrate/flash/respond somehow. Sometimes takes some time and a few tries with long waits in between.
Option 2) Hold phone up to bright light (headlight or lamp bulb) and hold power for 15 seconds. Orange charge light will illuminate. Play with power & volume buttons till it boots.
Option 3) If plugged in on USB because you were working in Fastboot, (optional: wait 30 seconds to ensure whatever is going is complete so you don't ACTUALLY brick it), then unplug USB: reboots.

My HTC is full charged but it's the same as before.
@Kahun: I have tried your instructions. Unfortunately my device is still bricked.
Thank you that you have spent the time to help me.
My warranty has not yet expired and therefore I have sent it in.

I hope they will allow the warranty for you. Issues after rooting and messing around with ROMs is not covered by warranty.
Good luck!

Well hopefully there is no way of getting into it and finding out if its rooted or not so they might just send him a replacement.
My question is if I have an HTC M7 that was bricked but jtag'd and revived. But now I can't get a signal or can't get the phone unlocked to any network.
It seems that my emmc file is corrupt, or on start up the modem is crosschecking the security and isn't allowing a network connection.
I noticed that you have a emmc rebuild file set in the UN brick... Is there any way to use any of this project to revive my emmc file??
After all I can 're brick this thing and try to see if I can fix it the long hard way.
Thoughts?
