hi
i try to unlock bootloader (xperia t)
but i got this error:
(bootloader) unlock phone requested
FAILED (remote: oem unlock failed!)
----the code sony dev. sent me:AE926322281A50B3- some people say this code is wrong and it should be All numbers. i did't understand what to do
please help me
the code for my previous phone which was a xperia play was numbers and letters. i don't know about t because i have bootloader unlock allowed no. also check through service menu if your phone says bootloader unlock allowed yes or no
Sent from my LT30p using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
just checked as i still have the email with my unlock code and it contains both letters and numbers and i know mine worked
are you following all the steps correctly got all the drivers etc you need installed on your pc?
i have unlocked a few xperia devices and the T was the easiest for me i remember unlocking my arc s had to remove the battery then remove a little piece of plastic and connect two "dots" together with a paperclip (was the easiest thing to use i had at the time)
the T was simply following a set of instructions that didn't require a vast amount of user work from what i remember
go back to the start of the instructions and follow them step by step make sure you have all the needed drivers and softwares etc installed
that was the testpoint method for the arc s. the only reason it was done so you don't lose drm keys

it also meant you could unlock an non unlockable bootloader (mine was locked and also network locked) i was merely saying that the T is relativly easy to unlock (if it allowed on the device) as long as you follow all the instructions and dont miss out what appears a tiny step
check your imei number just wrong coz some do not unlock

Hey guys my cousin gave me his Xperia X8 to remove the SIMLOCK from. Its an Xperia X8. I found this guide however the programs included arent working for:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436957
It says that the phone must have manufacturing code 11W28 and below and the Xperia X8 I have got it 11W22
It says run s1tool and click DO JOB. However the s1tool has been updated and when I click identify and connect Xperia X8 when turned off as well as pressing the back button nothing appears within S1Tool. So I cant continue the remaining steps.
The phone is not unlocked and runs stock SE Firmware.
FYI: I am trying to unlock the bootloader and then remove network lock. Im just saying this so you clever guys know what my objective is
Thanks in advance
Is it possible to unlock the bootloader on a network locked phone? I also have the X8 and apparantly I cannot unlock it's bootloader.

You can safely unlock the BL on yoyr phone. Here is what you have to do in order for S1tool to read your phone properly.
1. Install the Flash mode and ADB drivers for your phone. These drivers are bundled with Flashtool, just download and install Flashtool (link in dev section) and then go into the drivers folder and install. Then reboot your computer.
2. Turn off your phone. Then go into S1tool and click identify. Press and hold the back button while connecting your phone to the computer via USB cable. A green led light should appear to indicate that your phone has entered flash mode. S1tool should then start identification.

Hi guys, can somebody confirm that if I unlocked my phone by Omnius than if I unlock it with S1Tool then it will work? There are a lot of discussions about this on the net but it is not clear. On many sites written that I will lose the network signal or the radio if I do it...or the sim-lock will be restored again...So if somebody know this please write a clear answer for example:
Yes you can unlock it with S1Tool without any problem or
Yes you can unlock it with Omnius without any problem or
No because...
Thank you very much!

So I followed the bootloader unlock directions but at the end when I enter fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0x(My Key Here) it comes back:
Failed (remote: Command not allowed)
Using the previous "getvar version" line it seems like my phone is connected properly. What can I do to solve this?
Thanks!
First you need to be sure if you can unlock the bootloader or not but checking the service info.
If i remember correctly i think you have to remove one number from your key.

Yeah, I got the key from unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com. As you said, I had to discard the last digit to make it 14 characters, but the code was sent to me all the same. I'm not sure that's the issue though

Relocking is not yet fully and flawlessly possible.
The current method for relocking worked for some, others posted myriads about how it screwed all up. As the level of technical proficiency of those users is unknown and not really determinable, at this time is probably safe to say, it's a) up to you to try and b) may work with a certain chance or c) it may not.

There is still a possibility that it does not work with your device (right now).
If you access the service menu and look up the "Bootloader unlocked" status it should either read "yes" (unsuccessful) or "unknown" (successful) if you have used the tool.
Also note that DRM keys are not coming back, so BE2 will still be missing after a relock.

can any one say what to do for getting permission for unlocking boot loader
Short answer - you can't unlock it ever.
The only exception would be if the status changed to disallowed after rooting. There is a fix for that somewhere in Doomlord's rooting thread.

First time I checked, I was also disappointed, a few days later I realized that I checked the status without having a root phone. After I rooted the phone it said yes for me.

Short answer:
If your device says Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No, it means you CAN'T unlock your bootloader.

Unless it was rooted, as this sometimes changes the status to 'No' as stated in the first post of Doomlord's thread. I used bin4ry's tool and the bootloader status was untouched.
Edit:
DooMLoRD said:
if u had an unlockable bootloader device, after using this method the device will be detected as LOCKED or unlock not possible!!! (to fix this use this fix)
...........
Troubleshooting:
if your device has unlockable bootloader then after applying this hack the bootloader status will turn "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
in that case dont worry the users have reported that doing a repair via SEUS will flash back stock firmware and turn this status to "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes" (the same might also be achieved by flashing a stock FTF using FlashTool )

Hello, everyone.
I know nothing about rooting, flashing or unlocking bootloader. What I really need is to unlock the network of my phone. It was bought in Portugal locked to the TMN network. I am now back to Brazil and want to use it here. The conventional method of unlocking network is buying a code, but I want to know if there's a way to do it with no expense. What do you guys recommend?
Sony XPeria Z
Model: C6603
Bootloader unlock allowed: NO!!!
Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forums.
The only way to network unlock this device is with a code, either from the original network provider or from an online seller. It is not possible to unlock any other way.
Additionally, as you're new here, I will suggest you should start a new thread when you have a question in future instead of bumping a very old thread unrelated to your question.

I'm thankful that there are still wanting to address this issue of the bootloader not being unlocked. So my question is as such - Is there anyway (either by contacting T-Mobile, or Sony) that my phone, which is is SIM Unlocked (I know SIM unlock has nothing to do with bootloader unlock), can be bootloader unlocked? I'm just hoping that I can either get with Sony/Tmobile and have them do it, or even if there is a legitimate paid service out there then I will do that too! Any kind of help or anything would be appreciated! All I read is, 'If you're bootloader says no than that means NO', or I will often see people say that their bootloader says no and yet they can still enter fastboot mode.
Currently my device is Sony Xperia Z C6606 Tmobile version. I'm going to try to switch out my microUSB cord and see if fastboot works then. I'm still trying to have some kind of hope that maybe it will somehow work and I can flash a custom rom. Currently, whenever I plug in my phone into any computer, (with drivers installed) it never even shows up in the Device manager so I'm thinking it's an issue with my cord. It charges the device only.
Or should I just sell this phone and get a different android phone where I can unlock the bootloader? lol
Thanks!
You can only flash stock based roms with a stock, unmodified kernel.
Fastboot will connect even with a locked bootloader, but the commands you can use are extremely limited and in your case you cannot do anything with it at all. Your USB cable is not the problem.
If you want to flash CM/PA/AOSP etc, then you'll have to buy a new device. The bootloader is non unlockable. Nobody has cracked the security yet and I don't think anyone is even working on it, to be honest.
Sony or T-Mobile will not unlock it.

Yes but my phone says "unlock allowed: no" so a normal guide won't work, however if an unlock key was provided I'm guessing it was unlockable from the factory then they disabled fastboot for three. So to even use the unlock key I need to change it back somehow, maybe I will try this
