I am buying a HTC One dual SIM model. I live in India. Will ROMs made for HTC One (single SIM) like the Google Play Edition one work on dual SIM model? It should since hardware is same except SD card slot and two SIM slots.

I wouldn't say so as you have a different radio module or at least an extra one - either way you need drivers for those

I have the revolution flashed onto another carrier. Is there a way to use the over the air programming for this carrier (cricket) without a sim card, or even with the sim card even though it is not registered? Thanks

I have brought a new HTC one dual sim model 802w from Dubai. it's second sim slot doesn't recognize the sim. when I check with the dealer, they says it is a software issue which will be rectified only in next OS upgrades. but they are not giving an exact date for that.
Does anybody know any solution for this problem. I like this phone very much and I don't want to change it.

Which version of Android is your 802w on? Is it on 4.1.2 ? If so, check for system updates. You should get a 4.2.2 OTA within a few hours (if not immediately).
Did you check in your SIM Manager if the second SIM slot is enabled?

OS is already 4.2.2 and both the SIM slots are enabled

For my Huawei P6 c-00 dual sim, I have only acces to the GSM Slot. But the CDMA slot is not connected when i put my SIM card.
The CDMA Slot is locked on China Telecom! How can i do to unlock it and to use my SIM card (Orange Tunisia)

Hello, here's the thing, I have a Moto g xt1063 (single sim) and wish to convert it to dual sim. I bought dual sim adapter and installed in my phone. My phone is running latest android version (Marshmallow) but the second sim doesn't work as it is original single sim software. My question is, what to do, what to flash into my phone to enable dual sim function.

My question is, there's any drawback or handicap with that? I'm a single SIM user (so I'm not Interested in getting a ds phone but is what I can get)
I've read that you can flash n950f roms (including stock) on the N950fd and all the "root things" (like twrp) compatible with n950f are compatible as well with N950fd, is this true?

Hi, yes the N950F and N950FD run on the same firmware (i.e. there is no separate FD version). The N950F and FD are Exynos, and also bootloader unlocked, so no issue there with root, roms, etc. You may have to wait 7 days to toggle OEM Unlock, but there is a workaround posted as a sticky thread here to skip that, as well as a fix to flash afterwards (but the fix is often included directly in roms too).
You may just want to double check that the model supports the required bands for your specific carrier, but besides that I don't see any other issues. I only use 1 sim, and put a 256GB sd card in the other tray.
Hi there. A N950FD user here. Brought my phone when I was in italy. Used the SIM 1 with MicroSD when I was there.
got ITV/ITV/ITV out of box. And had no issues with 7 day OEM lock.(maybe I was lucky) rooted, and running a custom ROM.
Came back to Sri Lanka, currently using as a dual SIM with external microSD adapter (Google it) and still running latest ROM from our beloved Dr. Ketan.
So don't worry. Think of the dual SIM variant as a upgrade from the single SIM one.
