Who Preordered Already?

I pre-ordered it during the keynote.
Bought the 16gb.
Can't wait till it ships.

Just ordered mine. 16GB and a cover, just a dollar over 300$ after tax and shipping. Sweet deal.

Im thinking about it. I mean its so sexy but idk there isnt' a external sd card so its gonna be 16gb max...

bought the 8gig one thats enough for me

need to sell my Tegra 2 tablet first, then will pre-order it.

Except you know for 2x processor for the same price.

I ordered the 16GB version as well. The case certainly was tempting as it definitely compliments the device; but decided to pass on that for now. I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of a microSD slot and HDMI-out, but still think it is a great device at its price point.

Got a 16GB on order. Guess my A100 will be on fleabay soon.

Finally managed to get the site to work and have a 16GB pre-ordered.
Really looking forward to my first 7" tablet.
Jelly Bean looks really sweet.

Hoping it shows up on Amazon for no tax and free 2 day shipping. Probably will hold out on the case for now and wait till other options show up

I preordered the 8GB. My Kindle Fire does fine with 8GB and I can't justify the 25% price bump especially since I use cloud storage so much.

Screen separating more on the 16gb version

So I initially purchased 2 8gb N7's, then I recently purchased 2 16gb nexus 7's. Both of my 8GB's are perfect, while both of my 16 gb's are going to be returned for screen separation issues.
Anyone else noticing this problem to be more rampant on the 16gb version? In my limited experience, I would say it is.

doubt it. i own a 8GB and 16GB Nexus 7 and for the most part both are perfect. i think your mentioned situation is a coincidence rather than a trend!

My 16GB model had it as well.
Did the shim fix so far and it's working great.

I ordered an 8 after returning my 16 to Sam's and this one has it as well. It's not an exclusive feature.

I've returned 3 16gb to Walmart today and they all had the same issue. I just decided to keep the last one I received since I depleted the stores remaining stock. Since I live in Phoenix, I thought it may be that the tablet sat in the heat too long, but the one I got from my local staples is fine.
One good thing from this ordeal is that I got that "New toy feeling" multiple times today. I feel giddy.

nexus 7 8gb being discontinued for 16gb and 32gb

Apparently we who preordered the nexus 7 early got bamboozled (lol) , the 8gb will be discontinued and the 16gb will take its place at $199. While the 32gb will replace the 16gb.

UGH, think their 10/29 release date is just a few days out of 30 days if they give a price adjustment from Walmart that far out. Bought the 16 back on 9/26.

The Nexus 7 is a damn good deal any way you look at it. $50 extra to have this thing for 2-3 months which would have otherwise been spent dreaming of purchasing one and browsing sites for the best deals all day?
I'm happy with my purchase still. I feel bad for anyone who got an 8gb though.

I hardly buy anything from the play store. While the credit is nice to have, I rather see a less amount on my credit card bill.
It's something I'll have to get over but I technically haven't even paid for it yet since the bill isn't due lol. So.. yeah, in that case I'm a little annoyed.

I knew that a that better / cheaper SKU would show up, didn't expect it before Christmas TBH, but I don't care I wanted to experience stock Jelly Bean asap. I've ordered a usb-otg cable and tasty 32 GB USB 3.0 pendrive, which has the benefit of being used over multiple devices.

I'm not really mad I'm just disappointed in Google's marketing. Not a lot of people buy into the nexus brand and Its really not nice to do what they are going to do but since I love this device so much I'm not going to get mad, I'm just going to right them a nice message of what I think about this on October 29th.
Now I'm thinking if I should buy the nexus 4 when they release it or wait.

I'm wondering if people sending in 8gb sets for RMA would get a 16gb back.
Will the next nexus have a longer screen?

I've had mine for about a week and love it. I have a 30 day return policy, if my store got them by Oct 29, wonder if they would let me return it?

I guess you can still call it a rumor. But the 32GB is obviously real at $250 and the 16GB isn't going away, so it'll almost certainly drop to $200. There isn't room for an 8GB model.
I think it's just common sense at this point that the 8GB model is about to get clearanced at the end of the month.

From a business stand point, they are going to sell the 8GB at 199 till it's out of stock, then push the 16gb down to 199 and throw in the 32gb at 250.

2-3 months? That's perhaps true if you're in the US, where it's been released first - not counting some later adopters who didn't get it from day 1. That's not true anymore in some other countries, where it's been out for quite less than 2 months.

I have to agree. The people that have had there's for 31-45 days get screwed the hardest. They're just outside the return/refund window and have had so little time with there's to really enjoy it before a price drop and a higher capacity model for the same damn price is released...
I'm one of those people and I'm pretty miffed... I'll be very caution and wait 2-3 months after every new Nexus release or simply not buy from Google at all... we shall see...

Bought the 8 at launch from the Play Store to see if I would like using a tablet. Now I use it all the time. Rely on it. So. Afraid to root it in case I brick it. Want root for Stickmount. 32G means I can have a load of storage and root my 8 with no fear. Cool. Also, its easy to forget just how low cost these devices really are. I think the 32 is a response to the ongoing criticism of the non expandable storage capacity. I like that they listened.

A UK based catalouge retailer called Argos has published it's Christmas supplement with the 32GB being £199.99

Now they have stopped the Play Store credit and freebies, along with great economies of scale, maybe the 8 GB will get a price cut to undermine the cheapest Kindle Fire?

Hard to go wrong with SanDisk my friend. I've been using that same 64gb MicroSDXC card in my venerable Note 1 for at least 6 months and just transferred it to my Note 2 -painless! .... (Hope to see a micro 128 gb popup sometime soon......here is to hope)........Also, at that price you're getting it for less than a $1 a gb...not a bad price and it's not likely to go much lower until a larger capacity one hits the market. it will pop up again like he said mate, at first i was going to fetch it off eBay for 299$ it was a white one, but i wanted the midnight blue, and i didnt want to wait until they have the Midnight version back in stock again and i had thoughts that they could sell me a refurbished one,
so i just went on ahead and bought my midnight blue off amazon for 349$, and my bad luck i am now dealing with a defected screen , its not that bad , but it is annoying.

If you don't want to wait Amazon has 32GB for $349 and 64GB for $399. That's where I got mine.
If 64GB interests you, they have the warehouse deal for $339 again, which is how I got mine. The one I received was an open box, but the device was mint condition. Sprint had some trouble activating it so Amazon swapped it for a new one at the same price, no hassles.

they are usually open box, thats what i originally ordered but the one i got was missing the original motorola charger and was clearly used
the 2nd one i bought was from ebay

Just got a 32 gb off of eBay when Android police posted the deal alert I was contemplating a nexus 5x bit I couldn't pass up on the deal and I'm very happy with my nexus 6 from what I can tell it's way more premium feeling then the 5x I can live without a fingerprint scanner I just got rid of my 6 plus.

These are brand-new (at least mine was), in an unopened box.
Edit: Expansys is an outfit in Bloomington, IN. I didn't really have any issues with them, but I had ordered the Nexus 6 along with a turbo car charger and a Poetic case which were not immediately available. So they hung on to the Nexus 6 (which was available) for a whole week in order to be able to complete-ship the order. For part-shipments they are asking for $5. I got on the phone with them and read them the riot act about delaying the Nexus 6 shipment for $5. So they waived the $5 and shipped the Nexus 6 and I received the case and the car charger two weeks later. It's all good. Love the N6.
