[Q] Where is the One T-Mobile (US) Announcement?

So AT&T is starting preorders today. Sprint is starting preorders tomorrow. Where is the announcement from T-Mobile? I currently have AT&T and was thinking of jumping ship to T-Mobile but now that AT&T is taking preorders and T-Mobile hasn't announced theirs yet, I'm kinda thinking of staying with AT&T.
I saw the page where T-Mobile show's their promotion but there are no real dates or anything. Has anyone heard anything?

I know, this is annoying me a bit, my thoughts is it has something to do with their launch of the iphone. I'm ready to drop Sprint for no-contract plans, but annoying that Sprint is about to start preorders and T-MO hasn't said anything since "coming soon" the other week.
We just need to be patient. Their page says we need to buy the One by the 26th for the offer, so don't imagine it being far off from the other guys. My opinion is their intentionally refraining from mentioning it because of their soon to launch iphone.

I doubt tmo will have pre-orders. Because, when have they? I don't ever remember tmo doing pre-orders for a phone. They are probably just going to announce it on launch date, which should be april 19th.

Thanks for that info. Not ever being with TMo I had no idea they didn't do preorders. Thanks for the heads up

But don't they at least say when the device will be on sale? That's what they did with the iphone (April 12th announced date).
If possible, it'd be smart to release it before the 19th to undercut the other guys

I dont think so they would do any pre orders before the 12th.. they just announced the IPhone so probably once Iphone is on the shelves by the 12th then they might announce the htc one. They cant do both at the same time.

OP... my opinion is to just be patient for another week or two..we have been waiting for almost 2 months since the initial announcement by htc. Another week or two won't hurt. Only if you want to go T-mobile with no contract and $70 unlimited everything..unlike att where you have to have a contract and pay $30 more on ur monthly bill...just my thought.

I'm using an unlocked i317 while I wait for this phone. I at least hope it drops before the S4 otherwise I may have to consider it. I'd much rather have the One.

T-Mobile does do pre-orders, they just don't advertise it. Although today they have announced the iPhone can now be pre ordered, which is a first for them

That's probably for your kiosk. Considering they have limited stock and most likely prioritizing to major stores. I doubt they would release on a different date than the other carriers. But I guess we'll just wait and see.

Sorry, didn't know you meant you wanted to do the financing option. When I look at the page, it says $199 with 2-year service agreement. Guessing this means the monthly payment? Because T-MO isn't doing contracts anymore. Or did someone fudge up on the HTC website?
The 32GB T-MO version should not be the same price as the 64GB dev version!

Exactly, all these new plans Sprint is coming out with end up costing us more money than the plans we already have so why would we switch to them.

This is really tempting since T Mobile has better coverage and more 4G where I live than Sprint.
I'm going to scope it out. Might be something to jump on.

Well I went to the website to check out how much it would be for 2 lines and it would end up costing more on T Mobile. First off you HAVE to finance a device or pay the full price up front. So 2 lines with unlimited everything comes up to $120 per month plus if I were to get 2 HTC Ones that would be an extra $50 per month. So $170 before taxes and fees. I think you have to buy the insurance also but I'm not sure. I'm going to go into a TMobile store and check it out for sure though.

I don't understand why people think these no contract plans are any better than signing a contract.
Why would you want to be on the hook for paying off a 600$ device rather than paying a 200$ early termination fee..
Sprint has the cheapest plans of the major providers flat out, and the network is improving quickly

T-Mobile has no 3g or 4g in my area, they only have edge no way I'm leaving Sprint for that at least with Sprint I have Damn Good 4g and 3g.

Yeah I'd rather have my text messages send and receive normally. Past T-Mobile people I've texted have told me of "texting issues" and the whole "edge" thing. No thanks, if my LTE drops, at least 3G is faster than edge. And I'm not giving up my unlimited 4G LTE & tethering. As for upgrades... If I really want the phone like my two HTC Ones then I pay full price. T-Mobile sounds good and all but i know there's a catch there some here. And Sprint made me happy thay my AT&T friends with extreme speeds sometimes ask me to lend my portable hotspot when their LTE drops to HSPA or Edge.

I went to a T-Mobile store today to inquire about it. What kills it for me is that you HAVE to purchase a device from them, and our Ones are only worth $106 in trade-in. Doesn't seem fair when I could sell it on CL for $275. The cost would work out roughly the same. $86/month. They also don't pay the ETF directly. You have to cover it, then you get a prepaid MasterCard in 4-8 weeks. So to start the plan, you're looking at potentially hundreds of dollars.
Yeah, it's contract free, but it's not really worth it in my opinion. Sprint does just fine in Metro Atlanta, and as much as I feel I'm getting boned by them, it's the smallest in the long list of dicks that are phone companies.

Yeah, what he said! I work in Pendergrass, Geogia, which is about 90 miles north of metro Atlanta, and formerly a 3G area if I was lucky. Within the last four months it has gone from spotty 3G to 2 bars of LTE. And that's literally out in the boonies. That much improvement that fast is worth hanging around, especially with the whole Mastercard bait and switch crap. Sprint is really earning my business these days. My penny and a half...

My crazy day getting a nexus 5!

OK I know that ALL the nexus 5 sold at T-Mobile, Sprint, best buy, etc are the SAME as Google play store.
I was in Houston to visit family yesterday, and sold my moto g, and moto x(att model) to my family friend and then figured "ya I could order the nexus on Google but since selling the moto's I would just be paying the tax for the 5!"
So I go to best buy, not in stock, then go to T-Mobile store....NEVER again!(only because their like 390 full price!)
First the guy said he couldn't sell me it cause it won't work on anything other than T-Mobile....... So I told him that I know it will work or I wouldn't be asking you to buy it.... Then the store demo I put my Sim in it and BAM! Getting LTE on straight talk att Sim! Then I show him and then he said the demo model works cause it one straight from the Google play store! LMAO WHAT!
So I leave go down the street to another T-Mobile store same story!
Then I finally went to a sprint store...
The guy was basically acting like I was stupid and he bet me it wouldn't work....so he sell me the phone (399) I put my Sim in the phone and by this time he called everybody else in the store to see if it was going to work! The of course it works, and he was like we'll it probably because it not activated on our network. Then he went on saying I couldn't sell that to anybody on sprint cause the phone will be blacklisted.......OR I said "it could be idk IT'S THE SAME PHONE THAT GOOGLE SELLS ON THE PLAY STORE!" and walk out
So I guess next time people just order from the play store unless your only going to pay tax for a brand new phone lol!

What? Out of all service companies, I can't believe T-Mobile would say that! That's crazy.
They probably don't want to sell their N5' s cause they know they're sold out on Google store and they want customers who buy the N5 to stay in their company. That's why whenever I go to my company (T-Mobile) I end up arguing with them, they seem to not have a lot of knowledge when it comes to Google phones.

Too many CSR are just dumb. But this is quite the funny story. Should've took that guy on the bet at the sprint store, I would've walked out with a free N5 I'll tell you what. And how slow was the store business wise for all them to huddle round you? They seriously had nothing else better to do?

Well the sprint store wasn't really busy at all. Had one customer leaving as I was walking in. But the T-Mobile store was actually quite busy which I was surprised bout. Tmobile works great in Houston and Dallas. But where I live their not even a store that's how bad it is!

actually you can activate a n5 bought through tmo on sprint. all you need to do is have sprint manually enter the info they need and device id.

Wow. Sorry to hear about that. I got extremely lucky buying mine at Best Buy. They sold me their last one, and price matched the Play Store for me. No questions asked at all. I'm pretty sure Best Buys aren't selling the N5 anymore though. The demo they had on the Google endcap has been removed and replaced with a N7. I've been in 5 different stores, and all of them have been removed.

Just like my nexus 5 im using now bought at sprint, using ST ATT sim, can be sold to somebody who wants to use sprint CDMA. Same can be done with somebody with a n5 bought from T-Mobile!

Yes I noticed that when I went to that best buy store. They didn't even have it on display. Guess its not selling like they like in stores so replacing it with something else.

just because their employees arent to bright, it doesnt change the fact that its more than possible to have done. its easy to do, and many sprint employees have figured out how to do it right. if the employees working where you go cant do it, go to another sprint.

No thanks. Sprint's LTE network is an absolute mess in my area, good signals usually but the 1,500+ms pings and 0.05 megabit downloads are painful. I do the AIO thing.

At least T-mobile let you purchase it. When it first came to Sprint, they would only sell it on contract. (Corporate store around me)

omg, i totally understand. i wouldnt ever use sprint. i enjoy my tmobile account, especially in nyc. but there are people that cant do anything about their sprint account at the moment unfortunately.

If you think a Sprint store can enter a MEID into the system that was never there before then I believe you need to go buy a bunch of lottery tickets.

Nexus 6 on contract VZ?

I've anxiously awaiting the nexus 6 on verizon. I'm a little worried, as I have contacted Verizon twice and they have no record of them opening up the pre orders tomorrow. Both reps checked everything they have and don't show it at all. Is it going to be available on contract for verizon? Will it be available for pre order?

For my company I am the VZW authorizer for our account and business\enterprise support have not been able to tell me if can pre-order until last night. My rep emailed me saying that Friday I can pre-order...
There are so many answer out there who knows... I sent my new unopened box of the Samsung Note 4 back to their return center in TX yesterday so I am hoping that they have it all processed and in the system so I can get that line to show the upgrade again for the re-order...otherwise I have to wait next week.
Never had a Nexus look forward to it really enjoyed the Note line but if they will not get anymore root (maybe late) no roms no sell for me...at least my Note 3 has SS installed for the custom rom.

will verizon be able to sell the 64gb version?

On the Motorola website for the N6, it does say they will be selling it off contract in November, but no matter how many times I ask they don't know any more. :/

Ahh if its prepaid you'll probably have to call the prepaid customer service and have them send you one. They'll do it for free too though! Or charge 1$. I've been on both ends of tmo before and never had to pay for a Sim!

you can tell them your sim stopped working, they can replace it for free.
I need to get one too, I should've bought one last month when it was 99cents.
But for now, i can just cut my microSim to nano size.

It should come with one. Buy I have never had to pay for one before. Even had one shipped to me when my phone was stolen and T-Mobile was an hr and a half away. No charge. But I have been with them over 12 years. In a valued customer.
