[Q] (HELP) Brightness Bug OR Hidden Setting....????

Hi there,
I own a galaxy s gt i9000. running eclair 2.1 (rooted + voodoo lag fix & color fix).
I keep my brightness level to 100% (its looks amazing after the colorfix thanks to voodoo...)
I have come across a strange thing i.e. while pressing the notification bar and just when it is about to drop down, then just swype the finger to left, the screen brightness level reduces and when swyping to right it increases (but cannot go upto 100%).
Please tell me that only i am facing this or it is a inbuilt feature or it is a bug(or a positive bug rather to access the brightness settings from the home screen).

Built in Feature

Built-in feature - has been discussed in a few other threads.
With auto brightness disabled, you can use the pull down bar to adjust the brightness on the fly by sliding left/right along it.

It's even in the user manual that comes with the phone.

[Q] Bootscreen Q and Brightness slider

Hiya,
Two Qs:
1) Is it possible to remove the LG bootscreen? Reboot the phone a lot and I think it might make it faster. Am rooted and on the latest 10h firmware.
2) Is there an app that effectively puts a brightness slider on the status/notification bar? I wouldn't mind even it was a widget. I tried Power Toggles but it only allowed for a pop up slider which isn't that convenient.

1> yes it is possible (if u asking for boot animation, not logo) it is stored in /system/media.
2> I also experience problems with brightness when I was using Brightness Level widget but this is sort of LG kernel bug as I can understand cause I got problems with changing brihtness to auto mode

Perfect, thanks for the reply. So I can just delete the animation from .../media?
Yeah, I guess we'll have to wait for the update or patch in a custom rom for that brightness slider.

[Q] More brightness on Xperia V ?

Hello, everybody!
I searched a lot in the forums and I didn't find anything about it. So my question is;
There is any chance to get more brightness on my Xperia V, with a MOD or something?
I know that its screen brightness is excellent, but I'd really love more brightness and with it, enjoy more my videos and photos!

are you using stock ROM
if Yes, just go setting > brightness to adjust your brightness
else you can try other rom posted by developer

Nope, I'm using uniQue ROM
And I know that auto-brightness reduces brightness a little bit, so I use the maximum.
So, I was wondering If there is a MOD to increment that brightness.
( an example; I had an Xperia Neo, and its screen brightness was too poor, and I found "Disable Auto Brightness Xperai", and solved my problem )

I have a somewhat strange issue with my Galaxy Ace.
In several roms, I'm unable to use the option to change the brightness by sliding the top of the screen. When i look in cynagen mod settings, it says auto brightness is enabled. I haven't enable anything, but I cannot change this.
I had this problem in cm9 from maclaw, i have it in cm 7.2 blackhawk and i had it in another rom.
However, I'd like to know how i can disable this auto brightness setting...
Where can I find this?

Idk exactly what you mean, but auto brightness isn't working anyways on our ace

ace doesn't have good sensors for auto brightness and roms which have auto brightness options doesn't actually enable it

It should be off by default... I did a full wipe to fix that

[Q] Android Kitkat 4.4 problem Brightness control

Hello.
I have N7000 and problem with Brightness control on Kitkat.
I tried OmniROM 4.4, CyanogenMod 11.0 Beta 2 and Team Asylum Omni 4.4. Brightness control not working. Backlight is still on maximum.
Apk Lux Auto Brightness also does not work. Only apk Night Mode dim backlight manual. But always do it manually is difficult.
Light sensor is working correctly.
So why can not muted and Brightness also AutoMod not to work???

It's a known problem with kitkat. Just make a point to be updated on the issues in the ROM thread and you will come to know of the bugs and resolution. It's a new rom so there will be much less help.

Quick panel settings cannot be applied using this ROM as it is still in beta stage.. This option will only be available when we get CM 11 nightly out
