I was wondering if anyone else was having this issue. When I create a folder in the app drawer and add apps to it,
1. I cant add any more apps to the folder once I have added the apps for the first time and
2. when I reboot the phone, the folder is empty.
I have not rooted my device and had my first one replaced because of some bad pixels and I did not test the other one.
Thanks

Hey guys. Simply put, how do I install an icon pack?
I just got myself an Evo 4g a few days ago. I want to install some new icon packs to further customize my UI, but I have no idea how. My phone is not rooted, and i'm nervous about rooting it because I don't want it to brick.
Here's what apps I'm actively running: LauncherPro Plus, SwitchPro Widget, Moxier World, Tajm, Snowstorm Weather, Simply Lockscreen, & Battstatt.
I really like LauncherPro Plus, but I want my UI to look sleek, attractive, and simple.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
How to Change Icons!
Alright so what I do is I use the app FolderOrganizer. You can create folders and you can choose custom icons or icons that they have to make your phone more "sleek". BUT the better part of this app is that you can edit icons for apps too.
//How to Change Apps icons\\
1. Download or create icons (sized 64x64)
2. Put them onto your SD card.
3. Download FolderOrganizer
4. Once the app is open click on the Apps section.
5. Find the app or apps that you want to change.
6. Long press the app you've selected.
7. Click the last option that says "Change Icon"
8. It will bring up four or five options (assuming you download your icons in a folder on your SD card) click "Android Image Gallery"
9. Find the icon you want to change it to.
10. It will save
11. Press home button and get into the add to homescreen menu (long press)
12. Click add shortcut
13. Go down the list till you get to "FolderOrganizer Item"
14. Then click the "Apps" option
15. Then find the app that you changed the icon of.
16. Then the app will show up on your homescreen with the changed icon!
***This will not change the look of the icon in the app drawer!!!***
***This is not the only app that will do this, but in my opinion it is the easiest***
How! I added the widget, but don't know to add or move files to the folder. Standard unrooted Note. All I can do is open the Folder window and look at a blank area. What is it good for???
well.. you can create some app shortcuts in folders on home screen. ( from app drawer hold the app and drop on folder)
Folder Widget
Thanks! I guess that you can only store app icons in the folder and not files. I guess that is useful if you have a lot of games.
Yes.. Can store only app shortcuts..
Widget size and gallery pics questions
1 - Is there any way to make the widget bigger to fill the 5 column screen? I can use Spare Parts app to make the program screen fit the note screen, but what about the widgets?
2- I noticed that after installing CWM, I can not see any pics stored on my USB storage section via gallery, not sure is this from the CWM or not, but I did 2 reboots and saw the media scanning is on and completed but can see any pics stored on USB storage and must be moved to sdcard (not the external, I dont have one) to be seen in gallery
Stock widgets can be resized by long-pressing then releasing. You will see a grid and you can drag the bottom right corner to any cell.
I use ssLauncher and it allows you to resize any widgets, although some stock widgets are not there and some do not behave well. It also allows movement / sizing almost to the pixel if you wish (20 pixels is default).
As for the images not showing up, look in the main memory area for a file named .nomedia (preceding period, no extension). It may be hidden, and it may be in a lower directory. This prevents the media scanner from searching that folder and any child folders.

Yes I know this, but they are not stock widgets, they are installed apps widgets.

I used to use Desktop Visualizer before but to change and re-size the apps icons , but it does not re-size the widgets.

I know this file , people added it to prevent pics from shown in gallery, Even I took a video and it did not shown in gallery!!!
I did not added, but when I looked for it Found it in (application-->SMemo) in 4 different folders, I deleted all of them but still can not see my pics in gallery and each time I reboot the phone 2 of these nomedia files come back in application-->SMemo?
Please Guys I still have the gallery problem, any pics added in usb storage does not show up on gallery
I don't know how to resolve your problem but I find quickpic gallery to be much better than stock and you can specify which folders you want to be visible.
1. All stock widgets are not resizable, few of it can resize in stock.
2. Replied at your other thread
Had just spent some time grouping apps in the app drawer when I made an attempt to replace "Internet" on the launch bar with Chrome. It made a folder, which was fine, but now it's stuck that way, with seemingly no way to correct it without wiping HTC Sense data, which I have now had to do!
Pulling the Chrome or Internet icon out of the folder appears to work fine until I complete the gesture. The icon will dump onto the desktop or the bin, but it remains on the launch bar.
I didn't give this a go with any other app, though I can't see Internet in the app drawer which is a first! Is this normal with HTC Sense?
The dock essentially an extension to the app drawer. So when you drag it from the dock to the home screen, it creates a shortcut as if you were dragging it from the app tray.
To remove it from the dock, if that's what you're trying to do, you just move it from the dock to the app tray.
TL;DR - open the app tray, then open the folder, then drag out the unwanted app(s) from said folder.
Haha so simple! Thanks!
Bit weird though, first time I've used a launcher like that.

Root of sdcard is a file called (i think)
HTC_One_WWE_User_Guide.pdf
It's got all sorts of useless information in it.

No problem at all!
It is a bit weird, yeah. Hope you're enjoying your One!

Ok, some time after reboot if you see a Green Android Icon instead of the Application Icon that mean the app is not yet loaded so my advice is to leave the phone few minutes alone after rebooting to let him load all the stuff. Also I had this issue with my Z1 at the beginning when icons disappear and instead of the App Icon I had a empty space. I update my launcher to newer version and I never saw this problem again. Can be the Launcher it self, try to switch to different one.
May I ask you which rom give you the option to move the apps to SD?

Not Rom gives u that option but u need to install third party apps like ROM Toolbox ,Link2SD,App2sd etc for moving apps to sdcard
I have the same problem. Where is the link located when moving apps to sdcard? I find no link of the app anywhere.
there is the logcat while moving apps to sdcard...
while rebooting, it is saying that metadata is missing.
I think its cm issue, no launcher shows the app
To solve this problem I used SiMi Folder. see this link
