I just installed a new rom and every time I turn on my device, it would shut down after 1 minute of use. I try to install different roms, but that doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Hi, I installed the Codename Android 4.1.2 firmware on my phone a month back and it was working fine until now.
Last night, I rebooted my phone and kept it to charge. This morning I realized that the phone did not turn on and the screen was black with just the capacitive buttons lighting up on touch.
The only change I made to the setting was to turn off the boot animation for a quicker boot.
I changed the kernel via Odin but it's still not proceeding to reach the homescreen.
Some help please?
hi,
although i am not an experienced user...i may suggest trying to take battery out and push the power button for at least 30 sec and also trying to push middle button for at least 30 sec before you try anything else.
and again, did you check about partition(and themes around it) when or before you make changes to kernel?
may i also just ask because of curiosity as a kind of noob, how long does it take to boot with animation screen and without it?
Hey,
I did a factory reset and it managed to work somehow but I lost all data as I didn't have a backup made.
I rebooted my phone again and now its again stuck on the boot animation.
I tried your method but it's still stuck.
Previously, before changing the kernel it took around 20 seconds to boot with the logo and about 15 without it.
With the new one... well it's been 2 hours now.
how come u change ur kernel via Odin ? is it suitable with ur ROM? try reflash all again. There something wrong with ur kernel, or u tick da repartition on Odin while u flashing kernel
Hello, on my Galaxy S I have installed last nightly of CyanogenMod 11.
But from the first time that I have installed the rom (CM 10) the phone take too much time to boot; it's not a big problem, but I don't know if it is normal. It take sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 1 minute and 40 seconds, other 2 minutes and 30 seconds....
With the original firmware the boot was fast, max 1 minute.

Click to collapse
Hmm... Try clearing cache and/or reflash your rom and see if it helps
Sent from my toaster
But I flash new nightlies often... So the wipe of the cache don't think can help... But I Try the same, thanks
Hello, and help pls, i tried to instal gapps on a k3 note and installed a new ROM with gapps included, it worked but cellular network wasnt working anymore so i tried again but think i installed only "recovery" since it was the only checked box in spflashtool and then the problem begun. the phone is not turning on anymore, it only vibrates so second day i tried again, readed more and took original ROM and installed again (and again..)(and also all boxes are checked ) but every time i flash, the phone boots up until before the language set screen and its turning off and same step again....only vibrates when i try to power on (also recovery mode its doing the same thing - vibrates after a lil longer delay) ,also tried 2 other different rooms, original again w/o format....but same answer... does anyone have any idea of whats happening?

hi i want to ask why my mi 9 is rebooting it self every 15 - 30 minutes. I notice that it even faster reboot if i use the finger print. For the first minute after restart, i can use the fingerprint , but after 5 minutes or so it stuck on the fingerprint animation and then restart again, I try to turn off the finger print and using pattern only, it help but still the problem is not solved, still restarting every 15 - 30 minutes. Oddly it didnt happen if i watch youtube or netflix. After i watch from youtube and start browsing then i can be hang and reboot again. I already try to flash via fastboot the miui 11.0.5 global, the miui 10 , custom rom pixel expereince but the issue is still on. Can i know what's the main problem of this ? many thanks
Go to TEST Mode and check the hardware to get sure about the ruined part! After that you can format the phone in TWRP and clean flash a ROM!
