Zerolemon Travel External Battery Charger for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Hi all,
Was just on Amazon purchasing a ZL case for my phone and saw that they now have a external battey charger available. Right now i am using the Anker Wall Charger but might consider this as either a replacement or just an additional charger. I have two ZL batteries that i switch back and forth every now and then.
Anyone have thoughts or reviews on this ZL product?

They're all the same thing and work just as well.

How long does it take to charge a zerolemon batrery from zero to full. Does it charge at 1800 Ma or 1000Ma
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app

I have had the battery for a couple of weeks and now got the charger... I am trying it for the first time for charging the zero lemon battery from 10% as I would be up most of the night trying to get it to the recommended 2%... hopefully I haven't screwed up my battery....
Though with moderate to heavy usage I am getting roughly a day and a half out of this battery.
I hope this charger lives up to the manufacturer hype as it takes over 12 hours to charge this battery using the samsung plug and cable that came with my note 2...
I do hope this ends up being money well spent for the whole lot of the battery, charger, and case.

Buy yourself a cheaper battery: using lower amp batteries with the Nexus S

I have always thought that the amperage of a battery made no difference to the voltage due to the factory adjusting the internal resistance of the battery. Amperage I understood was measured in current, however, which does have an effect on overall voltage.
Recall:
V = I * R
With electronics, it is my understanding that the mAh battery doesn't matter as long as the voltage is the same, although you'd get less longevity out of a 1650 mAh vs a 1440 mAh.
Thus, I believe this battery would work. Thoughts? The part number matches exactly what was in my Nexus S and the batteries look identical. If this is the case, save yourself some money buy not searching Nexus S battery and instead searching ab653850ca in eBay instead of paying $30-$40 for a new/replacement Nexus S battery when they are the same thing.
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-OEM-SAMSUNG...Accessories&hash=item3a5dd479e2#ht_1287wt_900
Thoughts? Both are 3.7 volts.
mAh is a unit of electric charge, not current (notice the 'h' making it milli-Ampere-hour). So, yes, a lower mAh battery will definitely work, but it will last less time.
Also (just trying to explain better) a battery is not a "powered resistor", so the relationship between its voltage and its current is not just ohm's law (the one you recall). More specifically, the 3.7 volts is due to the chemical reaction inside the battery and is more or less fixed (although it decreases as the battery discharges). The current flowing is basically a function of the load of the battery, so it changes according to what parts of the phone are working at that moment. The output resistance of the battery is a formal way of describing how close the battery is to an ideal voltage source and is not related to the amount of current it's actually providing.
Sorry if I was not clear enough, it's late here!
Missed the h. Not sure why, I see mA all the time and I just missed the h. Interesting and helpful. Thanks man. Clear to me.
That's strange, if it is the same model (AB653850CA), why is it only 1440mAh? But I'm sure it will work.
All I know is that this Samsung Moment battery I got off of Amazon for $6 is almost as good as my stock battery.

The 1440mAh batteries work perfect, I have 2 of them. While you are at it, buy a wall charger to charge them in so they will charge to 100%. Having 2 spares means you will always have a FULLY charged battery to pop in and never have to tether the phone to a charger. Plus you get 2 to 4 extra hours of use.
Very informative!

What do you mean by that ? That the 1440 mAh battery only gives you 2-4 hours ? I doubt it lasts so little time. I hope it doesn't.
No he means charging the batteries in an external charger gives them a more complete charge as I find the same thing. I've got 2 genuine batteries and a third on the way and the external charger charges them to 100% whereas the phone only charges them to around 95%. The batteries charged in the external charger last longer than those charged in the phone.
Hard to know when you're legitimately getting a battery with "more capacity" though, so I just assume I'm always buying another stock battery anyways.

Oh, I got it, thanks !
Anyway, for 6$, I think I'm going to buy one, too. Coupled with the 2nd battery dock, it should work flawlessly.
Hey guys,
I went ahead and ordered one of these too. I noticed that the Watts/hour is 5.55 on the Nexus S battery but on the battery I ordered (but have yet to get in) it says 5.3. Is this going to make a difference outside of how long the battery lasts?
If you guys buy one of these 1440s report back with what you've found out.
And if this is a success, then please urge XDA to sticky this thread or put this on the main page. Paying $50 for a second/replacement Nexus S battery is outrageous, and if this saves my fellow XDA members $45, more people should know about this. :]
UPDATE:
Looks like turbodroid already ordered these and said they work great! Thanks guys! Thank me if this was helpful.

best powerbank for note 2

any suggestions??

No idea what you are talking about.
AW: best powerbank for note 2
Powerbanks are external chargers (at least I guess you mean this). I have one with 16000, with this i can also charge laptops. Didn't have any problems yet. The only thing is that the led shows the wrong status as it keeps staying at one dot after some discharge (20%). It's still having the remaining juice though.
Well, it totally depends how much you need, how much space you have for carrying while traveling and how long you plan to be without permanent energy source. You know the best how long the battery would last for your phone usage.
I recently bought an external battery brand anker, I am very happy with the purchase. I can recharge my note2 about three times, more than enough if you will not be near outlets for a couple of days.

I have the Anker 10000 as well. This outputs at 2A just like the stock charger, and is not terribly large.
I sometimes almost wish I needed to buy a device like this. Problem is I use about 45-55% of my battery a day. Only long plane trips or maybe camping trips would I need this...
A big use for this is I can power my external 750gb hd for OTG use.
I use one from panasonic at 5400mAh made by sanyo using enveloop batteries, know to lose only a small % of power over a year or two.
I use ProMini 8000.
I like it a lot.
1. Use Li-polymer battery = safe against heat
2. 8000mah, after 3.7v ->5v -> 3.8v conversion.
I tested it can fully charge my Note 2 lte from 1->100% 2 cycles (phone is on but sceen is off) still have a little battery left in it. Could probably charge anothet 10% give or take.
3. 2.1A and 1A output, both are concurrent, so you could combine both to get 3.1A totally concurrent output maximum and stable ampage output, won't drop.
In my test, from 1 to 100% full in 2.1A port took me roughly 2.5 hours to get fully charge.
4.super small and slim for 8000mah
5. All alumimum made chassis, hardly even warm during charge process, nevermind hot.
6. Inexpensive, I bought mine brand new in Hong Kong for USD 56.
Highly recommend!

Zero Lemon external charger discussion

I would like to suggest moving all the discussions regarding external charger solutions here.
I got this battery and plan to purchase a 2nd as soon as they are in stock again. I would like to find an acceptable external charger solution.
I'm not trying to hijack anyone's thread. I am ONLY interested in finding a solution to the external charger problem and not in all the other discussions regarding this battery.
me 2 , waiting for a charger just for the battery
Nothing to move really. There is an Anker charger you can mod, otherwise no other options.

I took my external battery charger I bought on eBay for like $3, opened it, moved the charging pins to one side to the other and can now charge my ZeroLemon externally when it's low on juice.
Granted it's not a 2ah charger so it takes a little longer to charge which I don't mind.

By a little longer, are we talking about 350mA charger you have in there? If so, we are talking about close to 27 hours to charger ZL9300 Plus, another thing I find bad with these charger, their ready light indicator is based on measuring the voltage of the battery to determine full charge, and it's not accurate. The mod I mentioned in my other thread for a ZL charger, whenever I get a full light on either with Zerolemon or Samsung or Anker batteries - when plugged into a phone it never 100% and have to charge up more...

Acesoft 1870mAh batteries X2 plus wall charger [usage report]

i got this on eBay in the late spring, and have been using them for the summer and fall: i like them. Abt $14USD i think it was: Good purchase.
i can't say whether they're really 1870mAh, nor how much longer they last compared to the stock HTC 1620mAh battery. My stock battery had been constantly abused for 2 1/2 years 24/7, sometimes being charged 3 times a day, so it's lost some of it's original capacity, and these new batteries definitely last longer than it does: that's all i can say for sure.
A few other things are certain: the HTC battery is listed as 1620mAh at 3.8VDC, whereas the Acesoft battery is listed as 1870mAh at 3.7VDC. That .1V makes a difference.
The chip in the Acesoft battery limits it's top voltage to 4.2V, whereas that in the HTC cell limits it to 4.3V.
The wall charger that comes with the package tops out at 4.2V. That means it'll charge the Acesoft cells to 100%, but will only charge the HTC stock battery to around 87%-90%; it'll take a charger that goes to 4.3V to charge it to 100%. It's a slow charger too, listed at 350mA current, and takes 6 hours to charge the Acesoft cells from empty to full. Charger also has a USB port listed at 800mA.
i don't have a problem with any of that. Others might. i'm happy to have a cell fone that takes interchangeable batteries, and happy to have 2 spare batteries to carry around. Slow charging means it's not so hard on the batteries, and i'm mostly asleep anyway during that period.
In normal use, the Acesoft battery will last a day with some spare capacity, and i've made it a habit to change the thing out once a day. On days when i use the fone heavily i've stopped worrying abt it dying on me. Just change the battery out when it does.
Don't charge the fone via USB anymore.
i get the impression one of these Acesoft batteries now last longer than the other one. That says something abt quality control of these things. Haven't tested it empirically, and don't care. It's a very minor difference so far. Just having spares and a wall charger more than makes up for all those worries.
Now that the Vivid/Raider has available Android 4.3.1 via the much appreciated efforts of Albinoman887 and friends, i'll likely buy another 2 of these batteries, switch to the Lightning launcher, and keep using the thing rather than buying a new fone.
It's all good.

Note8 Fastest-charging battery packs?

I'm looking for:
From Amazon US site
Charges Note8 via Fast Charging
Has more than one full Note8 charge
Suggestions of ones you've tested? (URLs?)
(Most of the battery packs I have tried do not provide Fast Charging on Note8.)

How big you looking? I have a 28600 anker that has fast charge. They now have a USB C PD bank that should charge faster than reg USB to C. Have heard RAV are good also. Just putting that out so you can have a choice and compare. I do know one thing I got a 5k version for my son non fast charge. I took it on vacation in July invade we needed a smaller charger on the go. Forgot it was in the suitcase. I pulled it out last week and it still had a full charge. So anker seems to know their stuff.

I was looking around 10Ah, else they get too heavy for just me. For when my family travels, 20-40.
What's the URL/model for your 28600? I don't see any with that value on Amazon.com (oh, the 26800 for $83?)
Thee zerolemon external charger ( not the phone case) works well
I have the Samsung Fast Charge 5100 mAh battery Pack w/ USB-C and it's a great little charger. The screen on charge is 1010mA average and the screen off charge is 2356 mA average. I purchased mine for $37. If it's for yourself and not a gift, you can get the damaged packaging one from Amazon Warehouse deals for $25.91. I love the small size of the charger and the build is great. I also purchased this Soft Felt Pouch for the charger.

That's the one I decided to buy. Silver and Navy Blue have "like new" for $20.
The.passthroigh charging was another strong point in its favor.
Thanks to you, and to all who replied!

Yeah it's the $83 one. I got it on sale for like $60. I will say get what you need. I got the big one because it was a disney trip and we all know smartphones drain fast. Needed the power bank to last all day. Whatever you get they are very handy and not reduced to looking for a plug.

This question for everyone. How long does the battery pack hold its charge? A week, month, longer? My main reason is power outages. My last portable would be dead by the time I actually needed it. Would be nice one held juice 2-3 months. Idk if thats possible? I live in the city. We usually have power outage once every few months. Sucks being in the stone age for 0-6 hours. Depending on what caused it and how much damage.

Ok cool thanks I appreciate it. Anker definitely one of the best battery brands out there. Thats impressive charge hold and perfect for me. Will cruise Amazon and look for best portable Ankrer battery pack. Thanks for the suggestion!
That's how my bank is also. Drain is minimal. I dont know about the rav or others. I only have anker. I am sure the more popular brands has the same performance

I have a romoss sense 6+, 20000mah has a usb c in and out, quick charge 3.0 PD3.0. Very affordable as well. I got mine for 15usd
Heavy power consuming apps and constant usage if WhatsApp and Facebook will definitely drain the battery of any smartphone. And power bank is one of the solutions to this thing who are traveling continuously. That's why I'm using Anker 20100mAh power bank, this power bank charge 2 device simultaneously at faster speeds.
