look over in the apps and themes section and search for logo or whatever you are looking for. I think there are custom and stock images over there as well as adb steps or root explorer steps you can follow.

If you want the stock Logo back just download the USCC fastboot file for your device. Pull the Logo.bin file from it and put it in the directory where you have fastboot at. Then using fastboot flash it to the device.
the command to flash the logo is fastboot flash logo logo.bin
Thanks for the help it all went smoothly

I have my HTC Vivid rooted and on HoliRaider v1.6. I really wanted to use the rom Rum Float Beta, which is ics. I tried to find the steps for updating to this but i get kinda confused... If anyone could help me that would be great!
Taken from a similar thread...........
the RUU or the methods that thecubed and i have laid out will get you the necessary HBOOT/RADIO/etc that you will need to flash a custom ICS rom
either method will get you the same thing....an updated HBOOT and ICS
if you run the bootloader unlock tool from htcdev, YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR SETTINGS! it will wipe the device like its brand new......do NOT include this in your dreams of getting backups prior to flashing a custom rom....
please just read through the posts and understand what is going on.
in order for ICS to happen on your vivid you need the new HBOOT, Radio, and various other components that the RUU/PH39IMG contain
there are 3 different roads you can follow to get there, the EASIEST being just run the RUU (WHICH WILL ALSO WIPE SETTINGS!), afterwards, reboot to bootloader, unlock bootloader, reboot to fastboot, fastboot flash the boot.img and the recovery.img of your choice on (limited on boot.img's at the moment, better use the one from the rom), reboot to recovery and flash the rom
the other methods imply you understand somewhat how the process works.
relock bootloader (if unlocked), run PH39IMG install, unlock bootloader, fastboot flash recovery and boot.img, reboot to recovery and flash rom.....
if you wrap your head around HOW it works, its all really simple....so the first step is understanding HOW it works, not blindly following some tutorial or walkthrough.
please try to LEARN and UNDERSTAND what it is you are doing....
The thing that is getting me is how I have to Lock the bootloader again. Do I just lock it through the htc unlock tool? How do I " run PH39IMG install"? After, do i follow the same steps that i did before to root my phone?
To relock bootloader:
fastboot oem lock
To Unlock bootloader:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
The PH39IMG file needs to be on the root of your SD card. Boot into hboot and it will automatically find the the PH39IMG file and update. I hope this helps. Like you said it's almost exact same steps you did to root assuming you didn't use the supertool or one click method.

Fastboot OEM lock. This is done from the fastboot screen. This is covered in the superguide and mentioned several times throughout these forums.

Before you start are you savvy with fastboot commands? I'm confident you can do this but just read read read. I'll answer your questions as best as I can. I"m not a dev or anything but I was able to do this following the steps created by PG and Thecubed.
i've tip toed around with it. Back when i had my evo 4g. I'm pretty familiar with the commands and stuff. i think i got a pretty good idea with the superguide also. after the getting the img file on and cwm i'm decent at the whole flash thing. If i can just get past that point i think im good.

Yes keep the superguide thread open as well. It's a great resource to have while you are doing this. The steps are nearly the same just have to update the HBOOT first. Good luck! I look forward to seeing you post having a successful install.

Here you go
Thank you very much. I'll look forward to ICS.
I've been trying to get the 1.29.1540.16 update in my HTC One Dev Edition. So I tried to flash the Stock RUU I downloaded from the HTC site, then download the OTA and then run it from the phone but it just takes me to the TWRP recovery (after I unlocked the bootloader, on "relocked" it just took me to the fastboot screen). What am I doing wrong?
Also when the first time I flashed the RUU (like 2 weeks before) the "Tampered" went away, this time this isn't happening.
Tried relocking/unlocking.
Don't know what to do. Help very much appreciated.
You have to flash the stock recovery first then run the RUU.

Recovery is different and it's not included in the RUU (I think). To flash the stock recovery you need to be in fastboot mode and flash via adb. Use this guide by mike1986. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618. Scroll down to the "Going back to stock" section.

Didn't answer before cause I went out to the movies (and of course I didn't enjoy the movie thinking of this).
Right on the money Mac!. Hadn't unlocked the bootloader, did it and worked like a charm. Can't thank you enough, I could install the OTA and that fixed the issues with the capacitive buttons that were my only reason to do so (although phone's so great I think I'd have used it with the buttons issues as well), one last question though: I still have the "tampered" sticker, is that because I did it the other way around? I mean, should I have installed the img file you gave me and then flash the Stock RUU and that would have erased it?

Hey i have got the same problem, can you guide me?
Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before..
I didn't know that kit kat 4.4.2. cannot be rooted lol, so I unlocked my boot loader and spent hours trying to load recovery (TWRP or CWM), obviously with no luck.i saw something online that said 4.4 and I assumed it was good for 4.4.2. Didn't work anyways.
Is there any way to load the factory Rogers rom back on so that I don't have that unlocked bootloaeer warning on every boot ?
If yes, any idea where I can download ??
Also, will this change my status on fast boot to Locked ?
I was so looking forward to setup recovery and root, oh well, I still love the device and will be ok at stock until a fix comes out.
Any help would be very much appreciated
Thanks so much
I don't have time to give extreme details but maybe I can still help point you in the right direction.
First off the Rogers Moto X is an XT1058, not an XT1053.
Once the bootloader is unlocked you can easily root the phone with twrp - same version is used for 4.4 and 4.4.2
You can relock the bootloader but the warning is technically always present. You can overwrite the image with a different one though.
The factory firmware is available for download, you can flash it yourself with rsdlite.
There are easy to find threads with all of the details needed to restore to 100% stock or root the Moto X. A few minutes searching and you should find them. Give it a shot, if after that you have further questions by all means please ask.
Hi, thanks for the reply
You are correct, its a 1058 and I officially unlocked my bootloader with motorola and voided my warranty...
I used this link
http://dottech.org/147327/how-to-root-moto-x-on-android-4-4-kitkat-guide/a
And when I try to install the recovery in terminal, it says (bootloader) variable not supported)
It then says writing recovery, finished (so it seems to write it), but I follow instructions, then reboot using terminal command "fastboot reboot" and try to boot into recovery but its blank.I even tried just rebooting to recovery and it still didnt work...
Or it just reverts to stock boot up.
I have tried others also but cannot seem to get it working properly.
Any chance you can guide me though it ? I would really appreciate it...
Hi I did some searching and got it figured out
Thanks again for your help
Hi again,
For some reason, when I went to reboot this morning, TWRP is gone. I boot into recovery and blank screen, seems it didnt hold.
Any idea why ??
Thanks

Hey all,
Sorry for the extremely basic question, I have just been away from Android and flashing ROMs for so long I forgot some really basic stuff. I have a Verizon developer edition with the bootloader unlocked and am currently on Eclipse 3.1.2. I kept getting a Verizon OTA notification and ignoring it, but the other night I accidentally pressed the update button. Now my device keeps rebooting into TWRP. I am kinda glad because I was putting off updating for way too long. So I have a few options as I understand it.
1) Use fastboot files to update to the latest version (4.4.4). I can't find developer edition SBFs (http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0), do I just use the standard Verizon version?
2) Restore the stock ROM backup I made with TWRP and just use the Verizon OTA.
Is there a downside to either one? Is either one inherently better?
Thanks in advance guys, my life has been pretty heavy recently and I can't believe I lost this basic knowledge.

There is nothing different about the Dev edition SBF vs. the regular XT1060 SBF. Use the standard Verizon version.
Definitely use Option 1. You are at risk of bricking if you choose option 2.
Normally, I would say just SKIP the command "fastboot erase userdata" (to preserve all of your data and apps), but since you are on a custom ROM, you may have issues. You can try it anyways -- if anything goes wrong, just flash the entire SBF again, INCLUDING the fastboot erase userdata command (which will erase everything) and all well be well.
Make sure you use mfastboot instead of regular fastboot.

Perfectly fine...but it will erase everything.
Unless, of course you unzip the SBF, edit the XML file with notepad (or similar) and remove the entire line that says "erase userdata".

You are welcome. A few other thoughts: the potential to brick only comes if either the bootloader or partition table are mismatched. This can happen during a failed OTA install.
In addition to that, even if you DID restore the twrp backup successfully, you still couldn't take the OTA. Remember: STOCK recovery is required to accept any OTAs. It would have continued to boot-loop.
Once you finish with RSD Lite, just use fastboot to flash custom recovery back on. Use the latest version of TWRP, find it here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/ghost
Just: fastboot flash recovery twrp_file_name.img
Then, IMMEDIATELY afterwards, type: fastboot reboot-bootloader
Next, VOL DOWN to highlight recovery, and VOL UP to boot into it.
If you don't immediately boot into TWRP after flashing it, it won't "stick" (we don't know why...but as long as you do this, it will stick permanently, or until you flash something else to recovery).
As you probably already know, as soon as you go to exit TWRP it will offer to root for you.
Good Luck! Update us to success.
P.S. -- Sent you a PM.
I tried this with the VZW imgs and now I get the unlocked bootloader warning. I don't recall getting that before, thoughts?
I assume it's because the imgs are not developer edition ones.

Nope, it's not. Likely, you had flashed a new logo.bin that "masked" the unlocked bootloader warning. Once again, the images are no different. Not one single byte different. None.
If you dislike (I like it, personally) the unlocked BL message, simply flash a replacement logo.bin.
See here for details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/4-4-3-remove-unlocked-bootloader-message-t2548566
I realize that it says it is for 4.4.3, but it should be fully compatible with 4.4.4 as well.
And one more time: EVEN THE DEV EDITION shows the "unlocked bootloader message" when unlocked. Completely normal. Only flashing a replacement logo.bin will prevent it from showing up.
Hi there everyone! I am absolutely 100% noob when it comes to LG. Always had an HTC phone but with the horrible reviews for the M9 I chose the G4. Its a great phone stock but the rooting itch has gotten to strong lol. Read plenty of threads and watched a few videos on how to root this beautiful phone. Yet, questions pop into my head...... I know most likely rule number one is to unlock the bootloader. For HTC I would then boot into Fastboot mode to flash TWRP with the famous command "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" and then proceed to flash my favorite ROM that is pre-rooted. Would the steps be about the same? If not, what is different? Is there any way to hide root from the T-Mobile Account app that checks for root or should I just get rid of the app? Also, I am still on the 10H build. Should I update to 10N first or would I not be able to root? So sorry for the amount of questions presented here it is just that I'm afraid of bricking. Any help is appreciated.
Upgrade to 10N then follow the instructions here:
