you would need to provide the framework-res.apk as well..
in apps and games you might not get transparency as it doesnt support
launcher does..
it all depends on the app..

You should provide us your framework-res.apk as well.
You can find it in /system/framework I think.
Ok there please make fully 100% transparent statusbar and navigation bar (softkeys) link for files http://www41.zippyshare.com/v/88329797/file.html

there you go:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/ov6jjdqsqk99d9o/SystemUI.apk
system/app/
permissions rw-r-r
however, always make a backup of your SystemUI.apk incase anything happens or if you wish to revert.
just a note: you will notice that it will be buggy when you're viewing album or if u use certain xposed mods, your status bar will appear white.. and while in album, it'll be hard to see the navigation bar as its already "transparent", but the buttons are still noticable.
this issue happens becuz the hex value has been changed, so there's nothing that can be done about it.. since you wish to have a fully transparent nav/status bar.

Hey there!
sorry for activating up that old thread, but i'm trying to get my statusbar transparent at the momen.
I think al almost did it, there's just one strange "bug".
I changed all the *.png relatet to the status bar with transparent pictures, that does work for now i think,
BUT:
If my Screen is locked, i can see the background picture behind the status bar, if screen is unlocked, background picture is "cut" under the statusbar, statusbar is just black, if i drag down the bar, i can see that the dragdown menu is "sliding" between the statusbar and that strange black background....
any suggestions or tips?

If you have it working that far i cen tell you how to see it on regular screen too. You need to be running ADW.launcher (or launcher pro but i have no idea how to enable it)
In ADW launcher there is a setting for Wallpaper hack , in system settings i believe. Turn that off and you should see the wallpaper through the statusbar.
thanks for the reply, would be nice to know how it works with launcher pro, that's my prefered launcher...
will test it in ADW now.
I guess there could be some similar trick to Launcher Pro.
ADW is working fine, looks cool, unfotunately i can't attach files here, if i could, i would share my framework-res.apk with everyone here
I did already build 3 framework-res.apk file, theyre similar to each other, no big changes done, just other style of the status bar and changed battery Icons, sothat normal battery icon is black/white, only the orange an red batteryicons are colored.
Launcher Pro doesn't work, there's no way to use it without the wallpaper hack...
at the moment I'm trying to build my own custom Rom, but have to read more about that before i can realy build one...

Why don't you try a widget,I don't know if you can make the battery icon in the status bar bigger, but from my point of view I think you have to make the bar bigger as well and I don't know if that can happen

Can someone make a transparent stausbar for CM 10.1.2?I already have tried but I have bootloop 2 times, and now I'm kinda afraid.
Thanx and sorry for my bad english.
You can safely make your statusbar transparent by using Xposed Modules. Firstly, you need to install Xposed Installer, then install Gravitybox module. Reboot. Statusbar transparency management is in Gravitybox app.

This way does work. But unfortunately the image behind the status bar will hang around for a second or 2. Its not entirely brilliant. but its not bad. Its fine if you just keep the screen static. I was hoping that someone could post a better way to do this.

I know it's really annoying. But only MIUI can does it right - you know, perfect transparent statusbar.

IMO it's is more annoying that the statusbar returns black sometimes. Especially when scrolling wallpaper is activated. It just turns black for a couple of seconds and then becomes transparent again. This happens with any launcher (Apex, Nova, Go, KitKat).
Any solution?
Is it possible for me to have transparent navigation and notification bar with nova launcher? , I'm on 4.3,and all this is possible while I was with 4.2.
And I'm also open to suggestion of any launcher that support full transparency on those bars, but not xperia home.
Thanks in advance.
