Had some time to burn and decided to make a new boot animation (no sound). Haven't done on in over a year. Works fine on my Note2. Click on the link and download the file. Rename it to bootanimation.zip, and place it into your ROM's respective boot animation folder. Need to be rooted, don't overwrite your original, yadd, yadda, yadda.

Do we have to flash boot images first or just flash this in recovery?
Dl now. Its not a flash zip, put it in data/local
Edit: Looks good....that loading bar looks like its on crack hahaha
XOOM
I saw this animation on a video about Dolphins and how they create vortices with their blow holes and play with them. So I thought it would be a cool animation.
I have tested it, It works on my phone. I am not responsible for your mistakes or your phone.
This is a mtz file. So just place in your MIUI/themes folder and it will show up when you look in the boot animation menu.
It is setup for 480x800. If your screen is different, change the desc.txt in the bootanimation.zip that is in the boot folder.

I created this based off of elilab's loading screens found HERE intending to use it in my next ROM update, but couldn't wait to post it for y'all,
Just copy with root file explorer to system media overwriting what is there, and set permissions to rw-r--r--r, and enjoy.

it needs to be copied to /system/customize/resource and you will need to delete or replace the original using a root file explorer eg. 'es file explorer'
Also if anyone would like to make a flashable zip, feel free
this boot animation was made by Frvereec from the Wildfire S forum, original thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1710220
enjoy it guys
Hey guys, it's me again, with another sweet boot animation.
YOU NEED ROOT
I have no idea what root is, don't ask me.
RENAME THE .ZIP TO bootanimation.zip
Drop in /data/local for 4.1.2 and up
Drop in /system/media for below 4.1.2
It is recommended that you use JRummy's Boot Animations *Root app
