MIUI Dev Help

I have been working on a port of MIUI for the Atrix and think I might have a stable ROM. The problem is, i'm not familiar with editing the boot img or kernel. So i'm trying to see if a dev would be willing to help me out with that so I can get the ROM rolling. If so, either PM me or reply. Thanks in advance!

I have modified the system files and all that jazz using the files we have now with cm7 and the MIUI that is out for the Optimus 2x. My stopping point is a proper boot.img that is compatible with Atrix for MIUI. I have never messed with a boot image before so pretty much need someone to do that part

yeah, just use the CM7 boot.img

I have tried that so I must be having problems with something else. Problem is that the Atrix isn't getting past the motorola unlocked startup screen. Any thoughts on some of the main things that cause so I can know the general area to start looking?

They are not working actually...They are just waiting for official CM support and do the work

Exactly why I am trying to complete this myself. Anybody knowledgeable with porting a ROM and want to tag team this with me?

you should try to get intouch with the guys from CM7 team, and maybe make your work open source for ppl to see thats going on. the would help alot. anwyas good luck buddy and thanks alot for your efforts

Appreciate your willingness to donate but I dont want any donations. Just merely trying to get a port going for us on my spare time. Thanks again though

You'd be surprised at the number of devs who actually do this. Jokersax has been building his cm9 blindly for awhile. Up until just a week or so ago he got an atrix. But looking forward to testing once it goes public! Thanks for spending the time to create a new rom for the Atrix!

99% of the devs out there develop for a bunch of phone and only have 1 phone... they develop for multiple cuase they have testers.....
we're using some known device code that is know to be working well. with our customizations and base... i am doing the first build now, and will update the OP within an hour or 2 with the link to the download, if i get good feedback we'll put in more of the goodies. and it will become offical. and all.

Are your bases of known working code coming from the Cm9 code by the Atrix-dev team(Turl1) or Photon dev team(jokersax)?

A mix of both, some of the turl1 has better working, some jokersax has better, so we're combinging, once we verify its working, those that made the device trees will receive FULL credit for the device port portion of course.

i did at least get him to let me root it and unlock the bootloader and load a new kernel... once this is stable i'll just steal his phone. he'll cfall in love with ICS.

I am the creator of ROM. I can give you the port for Incredible S. Since the ROM is based on cyanogenmod it should work with no issues.
But we don't have a device to test. If you can help us with some basic sanity test i can give you the image.

I would be glad to test it in case required. But I am sure there are many experienced Testers out here who can give you potentially experienced test results.

@mrshades812 has been in contact with the Devs of ViperOne(not available for Sprint...)
And asked me to post coz he's scurred lol
He asked them if they would support a Sprint version. He received these replies.

There are no promises but if there is enough interest in a Sprint version they may consider doing it.

This is the ROM I've been waiting for! Even though we don't have official sprint update, with the amazing devs we have it could be done now. I had everything but MMS and camera working with some FC's and I'm no Dev so the big dogs I'm sure can pull it off! I guarantee there will be enough users to be worth it. Show them how much we want it guys!

ViperRom One by viperboy and ViperOne by Team Venom are two different roms.

Viperboy's rom is a stock build. The Venom roms let you tweak ui elements on the fly.
He has a venom tweaked rom for the evo lte, not the One.

As stated above, viperboy's rom is just a stock rom with a few mods here and there. viperboy is a part of Team Venom, however, he hasn't had time to do a rom with tweaks yet.

[ROM][TESTING/ALPHA] ChameleonOS in Testing Mode

A while ago I did a ChameleonOS attempt but didn't get many testers. I made a new build and really want folks to go through it and put it through the paces.

Update:
Both builds have a bad boot.img but flashing CM or KT boot.img will get you going.

After I get OmniROM up to this point I'll start looking at fixing the boot.img problems.
And keep in mind - it's a test build. Looking for stable? Try another ROM for now.
This latest build relies heavily on CM repos so please keep that in mind. I'm hoping it will give a pathway to port OmniRom as well, but we'll see.

Just installed it on mine. Seems to be stuck on the COS boot screen. It's been there for about 10 minutes now.

You guys are welcome to test the older build as well. Heard that one booted - problem is I had to wipe the drive and lost the bringup for it... so I'm starting again from scratch.
I'll get back on it tonight and see if we can't get a working build here in the week.

We don't want to test the old Roms we want the new ones no disrespect here but please make sure your updated Roms boot the last 2 Roms you posted are flops this and omni and the old Roms were posted by some one else and not by you.

Omni and this are on hold right now until I can address some issues. It's exactly that.. test builds. Please don't come to this or the Omni thread looking for stable.
Curious, what old roms are you referring to that were posted by someone else? I'm happy to look at it.
