Hello guys,
I'm a student and I have a Galaxy S, and I use it for studying too, and I always have quite long days, and I'd like to ask what's the best rom for battery life. I'm on Dirty Unicorns now, the rom itself is very great, but the battery life is very poor :c
Please tell me some roms that would be good for me, and have great battery life.
Thanks!
Hyperdrive rom is the way to go

Hi guys,I have just come from evo 3d, and have been with Android from the start, and had HTC for years, but this is my first Samsung phone, and I love it, I'm rooting this on Wednesday, but I have no idea what room I should download, obviously it has to be stable, and great battery, and coloured menu theme Buttons, etc etc, I was using Leedroid, and coredroid on HTC, my phone is unlocked and gsm model, and just been upgraded to 2.3.6, if any one can suggest a great room I would appreciate that.
Many thanks guys.

Ah, a fellow former 3d user.... I'm using rocket, so far best I've ran for myself. It's fast and I'm overclocked to 1.6
ps. This should be in question and answer for future reference

To be honest; I've been using quite a lot of different ROMs and solutions
but, every time, I'm coming back to 'Cassie's ultraLITE Note'.
Lightning fast, the longest battery life, just really good!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365587
Just give it a try, follow the advices from the second page, and you will be not disappointed.
Success!

cant agree more on this
oh btw this thread should be in the General Section !!
I'm really happy with Romow with AbyssNote, long battery life, and really fast!
Currently on MySam 1.5, like the liteness of the rom and ability to install removed apps through the nitrality app included in the rom.
Battery life is great as well with this rom and abyss note kernel v2.1

Hello,
i use all the time stock based rom, but my last is not really good in battery life.
So i search a rom with great battery life, and customisable with themes, mod etc...
Do you have any suggestion of rom?
Thank you so much for taking time to answer

Hi, I would like ask community for rom which is mainly fast and saves battery. Tried to look for something like that here at xda but almost every rom promises to be fast and have long batter life so its quite hard to choose something reliable. I dont want anything fancy, I just need long lasting phone with some performance. Thank you for you answers!
Try The last myth or Sgs2 JB v11.1
SGSII v11 is GREAT !
try StockLite ROM
Like the guys above me i would recommend:
theSGS II rom, it is fast with great battery life that will last at least all day.
The added bonus is you run android 4.2.2 (i know you dont want anything fancy but its still nice)
Stocklite, this rom also has great battery life and runs like a dream on our ace
This is (as the name suggests) a stock rom that runs 2.3.6 and looks almost identical to the stock.
The only thing i would stay away from is cyanogen roms, they seem to use a lot of battery very quickly.
Hope this helps

Hi SaM245!
The SGS II rom has Samsung Galaxy SII JB look but is based on android 2.3.6.
Be happy.
You can also try Maclaw's ICS ROM(RC3) which is super smooth and has good battery life. There's also a JB ROM which has just come out.

Hi everyone!
My Girlferind has a s3 mini. I rooted her phone and installed DmodV3N custom Rom 3~4 months ago. Everything is going well except the extraordinary battery consumption problem. She used the great app 'greenify' and day to day operation is very smooth. But battery won't last 8 hr even under normal to light use. So, I finally decided to flash a new Rom to her phone. Can anyone recommend me a stable and performance oriented custom Rom with least battery consumption? Better not based on stock Rom, and no touchwiz UI.
thanks in advance!!

But, Dmod seems more like a stock Rom than AOKP and CM. and AOKP is only about 160mbs, CM ~400mbs. why Dmod is over 600mbs? and I can install no frills cpu after.

i get about 1 day and 15 hours on normal usage (email, messaging, gaming, calls)
it's based off of stock AMG1 ROM
just cleaned bloatware, added a few tweaks, and changed launcher
was going to share it with everyone but i haven't had time to put in some other features

It is a really subjective question, it depends on how you use your device, but stock rom may have better battery life

So, stock Rom has best battery life? But, My GF doesn't like Touchwiz UI and I can't possibly afford to buy a new HTC one or Xperia Z Ultra for her right now She use Nova Prime, but I m abit suspicious that it drains battery.

I just flashed Maclaw AOKP and I have to say i m impressed. The display look crispier and it generally has no serious bugs, All connectivity works! The operation is smooth and quick. I will check the battery life later By the first look, it seems like a really nice ROM which is running on 4.2.2. Now my S3mini Looks like a Nexus4mini

My sister has just bought an S III Mini, but it is marked by Vodafone with all Vodafone's stuff pre-installed. Which ROM (light, fast and stable) do you advice me to replace the Vodafone one? On my S Advance I'm using HarshJelly 2.0 and it works great, is there something like that?

Yes, I checked some threads but I don't know which ROM may be good, I was looking for a light and fast one. I wanted a simple tip from who has already tried and installed.
Currently running Beanstalk 4.4, which seems nice, but it's not as smooth as I'd like and the battery life doesn't seem great. What would you guys suggest? 4.3 or 4.4; either is fine. Would prefer AOSP, and I need my power toggles.
Try them for yourself. Thats the beauty of having so many ROMs. Try them and pick your favorite.

I installed MEOW kernel over Beanstalk and my battery life doubled... Sitting right now at 25% battery after 18.5 hours and 3 hours 12 minutes screen on time. Awesome.

If you want a kk ROM I'd suggest Nameless Rom under the original android development forums. Not as many features as 4.3 or beanstalk ROM but super smooth and stable with decent battery life. If you like flashing or updating often, mokee is another great rom with ota nightlies that you can flash daily.
