For some reason I can't access anymore the internal memory, directly or via a PC after installing infiniROM. Any ideas why?

because of swap, internal memory is a part of data partition and it will be used for apps and games only, not for files like music or pictures..if you want to use it for files flash the stock rom again.
I understand, but in my case, I need to put some files in one of the installed program's folder (igo). How can I do that?

With a root-explorer like ES-Filexplorer
I'm trying, but I'm not able to find the program's folder. Actually, I can't find any installed program files. Any idea in which folder I should look?
In Android/data/ or data/data/ e.g.

I use ES File Explorer. I found the folder Android/data on sd card, but still not the desired folders inside:
Did you try the search-function included in ES?
via Xoom 2 & Tapatalk 4
I tried now to search for "igo" or "orux", but with no success...
Did you try to install this app again?
via Razr I & Tapatalk 4
I did not, but it's not only about this particular app, I think I have 40 apps installed, which folders should be accessible.
if you've installed the apps, look for them in
internal storage/Android/data
or
internal storage/data
or go to system root:
system root/data/media
this is the old 'internal storage' folder, you should be able to find the Android folder in there, which should contains the installed user apps data.
I am not able to find something called internal storage. In the storage folder I have only sdcard0, which is the external sdcard.
On system root/data folder is empty
Did you try to install this app again?
via Razr I & Tapatalk 4
Yes I did, but with no result.
I would suggest you to make a clean reinstall of the infiniROM. Maybe something got broken...
I reinstalled it but it's the same, so I gave up and installed a different ROM

Found This App on XDA Portal today. Havent tested yet but im about to.
EDIT: I tested with google skymap, I set the app to install to internal storage and it stil installed to sd. Although the option to move to phone was now open and worked! I dont think that option worked before. I could be wrong

This is a first, simple, beta. But it should still work.
It is already included in ROM [Froyo] DJ DROID v1.0-R1 BETA - with HTC Sense - HD 720p - base 2.04.
Requirements:
root
froyo
USB debugging (Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Developement -> Check USB debugging. Thx pexon).

not certain, give feedback.
I tested with google skymaps because i know it likes to install to sd with froyo. So I set it to install to internal memory before installing skymaps and it still installed to sd. Although it did open up the option to move to phone in application settings and that worked!!
I dont think that option worked before installing this app. Could be wrong
I tried the tool also.
After setting the option to install to SD I installed the IMDB tool and PicSay.
Both gave the error 'Application was not installed'. When I switched it to internal memory, they installed just fine.
However I don't see the option to move a program. I'm looking in Settings>Application settings>Manage applications and then selecting a tool. The 'Move to SD card' is not available, not for the old tools I installed as for the both tools I did after installing this setinstalllocation tool.
Any bright ideas?
The SD card is formatted with several partitions to make it all run so I don't know why it won't work.
by default isnt the .apk designed to install in certain locations either NAND or SD. depending on where the programmer desires to have it put?
I've been using this for some weeks and it's just great.

On my galaxy s I have an external sd card which i put a bunch of songs on in a folder called music. When I open up the music player I see my songs but also sound files from various sound boards I have installed, as well as ring tones I have downloaded. How do I fix this so its just music?
Thanks
You can create an empty file with the name ".nomedia" in a directory to prevent it from showing up in your gallery. It will automatically hide all subdirectories as well.

If that doesnt work for you then this also worked for me:
BACKUP THE RINGTONE >
OPEN MUSIC PLAYER AND DELETE IT FROM THERE >
CONVERT RINGTONE TO .WAV (NOT .OGG) >
TRANSFER NEW TONE BACK TO PHONE

This is what I did. I threw it on the root of my internal ram, and keep all my media on my external card. Simple and effective.

Thanks to everyone for help Great community
Hello everyone
This got me with a real headache for all the day!
I wanted to install stock Swype on my Atrix HD with Carbon ROM.
Couldn't do it with a normal Titanium Backup restore, looked for some information on internet, and found that Swype needs a special file called "libSwypeCore.so" on /system/lib to work.
Then, I went to look for that file on my NAND backup of stock Moto ROM... It was not on /system/lib!
For everyone to know, the file is on /system/vendor/lib... Don't know why Motorola put it there, but there it is!
So... if you want to get your stock Swype on custom ROMs, just copy this file on /system/lib after restoring Swype with Titanium Backup (so you won't lose your personal dictionary), and there it is! Swype on your custom ROM!
Hope this helps.
Greetings,

How would I get stock Swype if I didn't correctly do a titanium backup. @skeevydude gave me the stock apk for it. When I did the backup I saved it to the internal drive and wiped that when I installed Pac. I really want stock Swype, I really dislike Swype+dragon. Let me know how I can do this. Thanks

@leanix
I installed the stock Swype apk and copied that file to the folder your specified. I uninstalled Swype+dragon. I get an error message "Unfortunately, Swype has stopped."
You should first uninstall any form of Swype on your AHD. Then, copy the Swype apk to /system/app, check permissions (read for all, write only for user), and then open the Swype.apk to "install" it.

}
After doing that, copy the .do file on /system/lib, and try to activate Swype. Renember that this file must have the same permissions.
Don't know if it will work, but it should. I restored the apk via Titanium Backup and it worked.

Nevermind, i'm assusing that the .7z is a zip that I need to extract.
@leanix,
after extracting and added that file to the correct location, it works!!! I'm not sure if I will keep it or not, I like the themes available on the other version of Swype.
hi
whenever i want to delete something in any software i have seen this message and the file cant be deleted.
i cant even use softwares like zapya or software data cable that both use "Tethering or Hotspot" for transferring data.
anybody knows how to solve this?

You need to be root for having writing permissions on the erternal SDCard.
But that's how it supposed to work with Android 4.4.2, google removed this permission...

Use file commander
Use the stock app file commander. starting from kitkat, any 3rd party file explorer/manager will not have permission to write on sdcard. only stock system app like the file commander have write access to sdcard

Right, also you can just connect your phone in USB in MSC (mass storage) mode and remove yourself what you don't want anymore, it's what i actually do.
