Its been about a week that .259 firmware is certified, any ideas when its going to be released? Phone has.been restarting more frequently..
Certified does not automatically mean that it'll be released.

I'm seeing this update too but I'm probably going to wait a day or two for more info before downloading this.
EDIT: Never mind, I think this update is the same with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1438487&highlight=la1

I am located in New England, and as of this posting I have not yet received the 4.2.2 OTA update.
Please note the State you are located in where you received the update.
* Moderators, please do not move this to some backwater thread that wont likely be viewed by XDA readers who might be located in all regions of the USA.*

What diff?
What difference does it make? You can get it sooner by force-closing google framework, or you could flash it yourself via adb sideload. Why wait for it to come to you?
AW: Please confirm the region you are located in the USA in which you received the An
I'm in Germany (Berlin) and still haven't got the update.
EDIT:Nevermind I got it now.

Hi Guys,
For some reason I cannot upgrade to Kit Kat...
When I plug my phone into PC Companion it says that I already have the latest version.
My problem started with the previous upgrade. All seemed well during the upgrade process but when I looked I had none of the new features and my build number still showed. 290
I tried to run it again but it said that I already has the latest firmware. Now it's refusing to recognise any new firmware telling me that I am updated when I'm not
Any advice anybody?

It might be that your carrier hasn't released the update yet.

Hey no my phone is unlocked and simfree. It's just not recognising the firmware on my phone. I have not even been able to update to 136 as my firmware is on 290 still and it's telling me that I have the latest firmware... Which I obviously don't.

Happened to me too. Here's what I did. I flashed this ftf. You can flash any other KitKat ftf that you prefer in the general section. Just make sure that it has this firmware (14.3.A.0.681) and uses the same model number (C6903).
Is Active got already the kitkat update?
if he got I'll be happy if you tell me how to do it?

The official OTA update for KK was v released 4/16/14 but was very buggy (screen unusable, etc). Since 4/18/14, AT&T pulled the update, and have since said they are working with Samsung in fixing the update and will be releasing the update again soon. As with everything, don't ask for an ETA as no one can even guess when that will be... Hopefully soon though.

I seen in another thread that there is a firmware upgrade to be released on amazons website for these devices. I have two that are not yet out of the box as they are Xmas presents for my kids . Should I keep them at 5.0 .......open them the now and update to 5.0.1 or wait till later and jump right to 5.0.1.1.
I'm assuming that since the last update was automatic then this one will be too.....unless someone can modify the 5.0.1 update command and we can run it before the next update from amazon. Otherwise all the development for 5.0.1 Will have been for nothing

Me personally I don't regret updating to 5.0.1 I have full gplay I'd update just in case the new one breaks gplay or anything else

Is there a way to stop any future updates though .....will any future update be auto download to your device
