If you can't get to the bootloader, then the device is pretty much screwed!
However, try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...orial-how-to-flash-factory-images-lg-t2713833

[ROM] 4.0.2.A.0.42-GG for LOCKED BOOTLOADER with 0% BATTERY ISSUE

Hi, this is a stock 4.0.2.A.0.42 global generic rom. This rom is only for people with locked bootloader facing the 0% battery issue!. There is absolutely no reason to use it in other circumstances.
The battery workaround used is 100% compatibile with Bazoocaze's fix - you can use apks, debug entries and all. Don't forget to thank him for the great work.
This package is for Linux only!. If you know how to create .bat files or manually use adb, you sholdn't have problems using it in Windows too. If anyone's willing to prepare Windows package, feel free to do so
HOWTO:
Download and unpack the ROM files.
Step1 Flash Arc_step1_step1.ftf via Flashtool. Turn on the phone afterwards.
Step2 Phone will get stuck on green SE logo - it's okay! Open a console and execute ./step2 which roots the phone and installs battery hack. If there are errors, killall adb and try again. Turn off the phone.
Step3 Flash Arc_step3_step3.ftf via Flashtool. Turn on the phone.
LT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42_lockedBL_battery.7z
Cheers,
z
and the great one is back from hibernation
this time in Xperia 2011 territory!!!
oh boy good times ahead!!!
thank you Z!
@ALL
you will still need to download the complete package from z's post...
attached is a windows version for STEP2:

i have just modified my EasyRootingToolkit package to make it push the additional files for this workaround...
i havent checked it so it would be great if someone can test it out on windows and let me know...
download the attached file and at STEP2
(the device should be in USB debugging mode for this to work)
just execute the runme.bat and follow the instructions
the device will reboot but just turn off the device after its rebooted
And hope more
Good to see you here Z

Working great on Xperia arc build 4.0.2.A.0.42
Thanks a lot man, for the work and all !!
Thank you Zdzihu, Bazoocaze and DooMLoRD for your efforts. Thanks to your combined work my arc is back from its box where I have left it since October.
what about Xperia Neo ? There is a patch for locked bootloaders?
hi, when i am going to use the doomlord .bat the console told me that the adb is out of date and can't change anything
EDIT: found the error, just need to close the flashtool before step2
I did it on windows.Solved the 0% issue. After locking bootlander and flashing step 1 do not try the step 2 root.Instead do the step 3 flashing. Then boot phone turn on DEBUGGING and tick UNKNOWN SOURSES.Then install the step2-DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su-batterydriver (1).zip and leave the cmd window on as u switch on the phone and press any key with cmd window on .Rooting takes place as the phone turns on.If u root after the phone has turned on fully, the phone dies in the middle of the root. After that install FuelGaugeFixV16.apk and u will start seeing the actual battery % too.U R DONE.ENSOI-----FROM MAK.Please reply and tell me if it has worked

It was really a bad idea to post this before testing (Sorry to sound rude)
As it is recovery, and someone flashes it and problems (if) occurred, then its too much pain and work to get reverted to normal.
Also, if you built using build.clockworkmod.com it is likely to occur the text not re-sized/optimized for LDPI properly, some text gets cut off.
If you'd built from source, you should have tested it, or at least give to some Testers via PM before releasing public.
WTF? . my device bricked after flash this file . can't go to download mode . wrong key layout ( menu = up; home = down), back key doesn't works
EDIT: i'm going to downloading mode . my windows 8 release preview missing driver for downloading mode
@ OP: what are you doing? You had time to "build it", but didn't have time to test it? Probably he just wanted someone else to test it because was afraid of bricking his device.
perhaps a video preview shownig it would be nice...then people will start trusting this build....just sayin

Rooting Idol4 is possible !!!!

Hello
Do you know DeckerSu ?
He have developped AlcatelFlasher, a software that can read/write any partition on Idol3.
So, with this app, you can flash TWRP on Idol3.
Look at here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/development/tool-sahara-firehose-test-alcatel-t3454855
But now, he make a version for Idol4 (6055) and a TWRP recovery for this one !!!!
Look at here: http://www.decker.su/2016/09/alcatel-idol-4-6055k-twrp-recovery.html
But nobody are interesting on his work so he don't share it.
Please, look at his work and comment it if you want this amazing work.
DeckerSu will be very happy to your interest.
Thanks for him
Greeting to Decker su

Ready the same decision as a binary recovery_twrp_3.0.2-0-decker.img for Idol 4 and "Murzilki" (walk-through) his flash - I decided not to spread. If the topic you are interested in at the moment, you can:
Try self-assemble TWRP from me lined wood -based repository OmniROM (the repo the init -u https://github.com/omnirom/android.git -b android-6/0), good manual on TWRP recovery assembly for the Qualcomm platform from source on the Internet abound. Plus the opportunity to learn something - it's always good.
Follow the development of the project Sahara & Firehose the Test , and perhaps even to support him and help him grow to full flasher for devices based on Qualcomm, well, or as an alternative - to find their way to fill in the recovery unit.

Hi! At this moment Sahara & Firehose Test Tool app officially support only Idol 3 6039 and Idol 3 6045. I have Idol 4 6055 in my own, and already add it's support to app, but not released this version yet. I plan to add Idol 4 6055k later, if users will interested in this project and make some donations. Work on this was really hard and took more than a month of hard work. It continuing now, but new releases will be available in public after i collect some donate. It all depends on the users themselves. This is free, but project need their support.
If you interested in donate, you can use this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/dona....php?u=5660972 . Donation is completely voluntary initiative. If you wanna support project - make it, if don't - no additional actions required.

Thanks. I wonder if there's not a difference in SIM numbers too. I think mine has only one SIM slot.
I tried to install the drivers on Windows 7, but it fails to recognize my phone when I plug it to my PC.
Mine is 6055u (US maybe)
Has he provided the tools to root this phone as well?
Thank you for starting the freedom of our idol 4. I know this phone has massive potential. I absolutely love it and will love it more rooted.

When I went there I didn't see anything though. I did however use Russian translator so perhaps the translator was wrong????
Is there going to be a flash tool?
I have the 6055u and i need root to enable the hospot.
Guys, if you want to increase the chance to see root, custom recovery and custom roms for the 6055, maybe you can show your interest to @DeckerSU, or even better, donate to him. It's easy to to donate through PayPal from XDA.

Searching Testers

Hello dear M8S comunity,
im searching some Testers^^ i buyed a used M8S that had a dead emmc ( never unlocked still in warranty) my M8S is send to HTC for warranty repair but now i want to start some developing for M8S
for those who dont know me... i had never developed for an HTC only for sonys but im sure we can get something
so what do you need?
- having a unlocked bootloader
- stock android 6
- some skill with adb/fastboot
- rooted device
- a full backup and a working recovery.img
what my plans are:
- first get a stable twrp build against my sources
- after that try getting a cm14 booted

Take care that from MM the firmware don't allow anymore to just use "fastboot boot ..." U need to use htc_fastboot and it have to be flashed in order to use it.
Also the other phones from HTC like M8 is A9 or other do the same, U can see in there specific threads.
I will like to help but mine is also in service (broken lcd).

Root Access on Vivo v11 pro

Hi everyone, I bought that phone 3 days ago and since then I've been trying to root it
Tried KingRoot and Kingoroot. : both aren't working. And today I found this online
<<How To Vivo V11 and Vivo V11 Pro Android Phone and Install TWRP Recovery (cereus)>>
In this website/tutorial, there is a link to a custom TWRP. But I'm reluctant to try this one because TWRPBuilderTeam released it on August 5th (which I think is before the v11 pro release data right)!??
Have you guys tried this method? If yes did it work for you? Using this phone without root sucks

Not going to try some shady unofficial twrp build and brick my device when there is no Rom/unbrick tool available
I don't think this device will get an official twrp, there is generally zero to none development when it comes to Vivo/Oppo devices.
So dont expect much, its best to use it as stock locked device and use adb for some tricks up your sleve

Thanks for your reply. I guess, root isnt a big deal, somehow, someone will probably compile or atleast port twrp from another sd660 with similiar specs and resolution. I have done that in past, and i think probably some developer will do it in near future.
Problem is custom roms like linage, RR, pixelexperience or aosp aex.
But i hope soon.. vivo v11 pro only compromise, is developmemt. Hope to see better development in near future.

I really hope they do. Root is really important part.
There is also one issue. That is there is not official flashing tool in case you mess up and brick your phone.. So it is really risky
