Hi all,
Just Flashed my Z1 with the old firmware as I would like to get it rooted.
All seemed fine but now a message has popped up saying 'camera common has stopped working' and I cannot open the camera, I did follow the guide on a thread off here but there was no mention of this issue.
Any help?

Supposedly the new update to the market (pushed out today) creates this problem. I personally froze the market updater because I don't like the new layout of the my apps section, and the missing apps.
The new Play sucks
Any solutions for this problem ?
Just keep reporting it to Google and hope they get the message.
Mine has just update itself and is now showing my Apps.

Hi,
I have installed slimbean on my captivate. my camera app works fine but I mistakenly pressed front camera button in camera app and now everytime I start that app it gives me error that "unfortunately, gallery has stopped" error. I restarted many time and even cleared cache from media storage app and restarted but nothing helped.
I even did factory reset and my camera started working again but same problem after I mistakenly touch that button again. is there any solution out there?

Just go into Manage Applications under Settings and find the Camera app and select Clear data, Force stop. Back out to Home and u should be good.

that is another thing. I don't see camera app under manage app (under any tab). isn't it strange?
May be intergrated into the Gallery as it is in AoCP Jellybean CP3 Rom by the Collective. So just find the Gallery app and Only Force stop it.
That is probably why it says "unfortunately, gallery has stopped."
Let us know if that works to fix the prob. Thx

Captivate Slimbeam camera/gallery problem
Hello, did some searching first and tried all the solutions I could find but still can't seem to get this one to work:
I have an AT&T Samsung Captivate (i897) running Slimbean 2.9. When I first put slimbean on it (2.8) about 1 out of every 3 times that I tired to open the camera I got the "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped" error message. It was annoying but I would just try it again and it would work the next time. Over the weekend I upgraded to 2.9 and now I get the message every time without fail.
Here's what I've tried (based on solutions in this thread and others):
Bigmem under Sephamore Manager is not checked.
Tried clearing gallery data, force stop and rebooted.
Reinstalled gapps (2.8, didn't see a 2.9).
None of these solutions helped. Anybody have any other ideas I should try?
I had the same problem. Try going into manage apps and delete the data (not just the cache) and the camera should start working again.

Thanks for the reply. I did try that, I just tried it again for giggles and it still didn't help. I do have two galleries listed for some reason though....

Did you ever resolve this issue with your camera? I have tried everything that my limited experience can think of, including replacing the camera, but no luck.

The one thing that I keep having trouble with this ROM is the Slim File Manager. It FC's after a couple of hours after flashing. Any of you guys having any problems with the file manager?

Clear it's data/cache and it should be fine.
hey guys!! facing a weird problem here.. a few days back I saw the call record option on Z forum & I thought I'll give it a shot on my ZL. My phone is rooted with a locked bootloader & CWM installed. While replacing the files for call record function, as soon as I pasted it in the system folders, my phone hit a reboot. I then tried the zip file instead in CWM but it reboot ed again halfway while booting... I thought maybe the feature isn't compatible and that's why it would be rebooting like this.. But now I realise that I try to update anything then the phone behaves the same. As soon as I give RW permission to ES file explorer it reboots. The worst of all, I was trying to install the .253 OTA update & even that couldn't install and I guess it's for the same reason.. Also whenever my phone boots up, it shows the that the phone is updating.. I need to rectify this.. any inputs guys? please help!!
I am indeed sorry to post it on Z forums but I had no other option as I was getting no support on this in ZL forums.. can anyone help pls?

Try rerooting, failing that flash your backup or start from scratch.

Hi Guys
Looking for some help please. Im running rXTREME on SIII i9305 LTE and have used it as my main driver for a while now.
after upgrading to v13 I seem to have a camera problem. I get a "camera failed" warning message coming up when accessing the camera.
I have also noticed that I get "unfortunately, system UI has stopped." message when trying to use the flash light.
I dont know if the two are related
Have done full wipes and fresh re-install an numerous occasions but still the same thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got my phone, and just flashed a new ROM in, but the camera doesnt work, with the same error.

Ok so after playing around a bit I think its sorted... all I did was reroot.... strange... but it worked.

I fixed the bug with perseus kernel. I don't know why, but boeffla i couldn't use camera...

I need an urgent help. Yesterday I am trying to downgraded my Rooted Moto G 2014 Lollipop to Kitkat. I followed the all procedures and I was successful to restore to Kitkat. But I am issue with Camera. Camera is only recognising Front. I am unable to switch to Rear Camera. There is no option to switch. I also installed Torch App, but it says "Due to Flash is absent(Hardware Limitation), torch will not work.
I have tried all the methods by formatting the phone, againI have flashed the kitkat but the problem is not solved.
Please help me guys.

Yes, I have flashed the Correct Software.
I have uninstalled stock camera APP, then installed camera+(found on forum) and rear camera starts work.
