Does anyone have such problem?
I point the camera at white wall, corners are OK but the middle of the screen is 'red-ish'. I guess I'll take it back to Samsung, but curious if anyone else stumbled upon it. I took the plastic off, no worries

This shows up when shooting in doors mostly and is not as noticeable when taking pics outside but it is there. I have a pic of my daughter that this discoloration shows up in.

What hardware and color vers do you have??? mine was .7 or .07 and mocha.
Did some more playing around with camera and noticed a redish tint when trying to take a pic of a semi glossy white wall. Noticed it was actually my arm shadowing on the wall. Not saying it's the same issue as you guys but lighting/shadowing maybe causing some issues. For me, camera hasn't been an issue and never noticed it until I tried to duplicate it on a wall.

Replaced mine at bestbuy. No longer an issue. Very weird
Has anyone experienced problem with camera screen being all white, all functions work just fine, except whatever you point at screen is blank white, even in video mode. Pictures taken are also all white, nothing on them.
Last time I used camera was couple days ago, worked fine, this afternoon it happened. Tried reset, flashing back stock etc with no luck. However now, in the evening, all of a sudden it just got fixed all by itself - takes pictures and records just fine !?

Try a screen trainer (or whatever they're called) to see if it's stuck pixels before you return it. But yeah, I totally understand. I can't stand them once I've spotted them; it looks like you got a few of them too.

Yikes. That sucks man. No problems here, on two N7's (I scrutinized both at max brightness as I'm a paranoid type). Take it back, get another!

This isn't going in a dark room and turning up the brightness to look for light bleed; dead pixels really are an annoyance, especially when you've got four or five.
Dead pixels drive me crazy... I've always been anal about my screens. I would still try a screen fix app though before I would exchange.

I've counted five problem pixels on mine. You can only notice it on a black screen. They have a very tiny whiteness to them. I think I can live with it though.
I too have a few bright pixels. I also of a dark spot under the glass between the screen... guess I will be exchanging mine as well

Did you get it from the playstore? If not, Google will tell you to take it back to where you bought it from and get it exchanged there.
What can be seen cannot be unseen
I had mine delivered about 2 hours ago and right up until now I haven't noticed anything.
After seeing this thread I thought I'd check and whilst I only have one stuck pixel (white colour) and it's not in a particularly noticeable location, it's all I can see!
I guess I'll RMA it and I'm glad I can wait until the new one gets to me before sending this one away. Especially after the 3 week wait for it.
I was nervous this would happen with mine but my screen is pretty much fine. Had a little bit of the screen lift but I loosened all the screws and then tightened them and now it seems fine.

Mine's worse.
I have at least 40, and some of them are really bad. My first one had a defective battery. Quality control, what's that?
you've had 40 Nexus 7s?!
Have any of you gone to a different model of phone then come back to the D3 and realized the screen colors on this Pentile display just suck? It really jumped out to me when using the Handcent Emoji Plugin and when viewing from an angle. Here's a side-by-side comparison with my DX. Both photos were taken with the phones at max brightness with no screen protector on either. D3 has consistent color when viewing from an angle whereas the DX doesn't, but the DX's LCD does have a hairline crack underneath and used to have a flickering dot whenever touched. It's since gone away, but the screen has been damaged from pressure.
DX on left and D3 on right.

I didn't mean to start a war here. I was just pointing out that the colors are much worse on this phone than others. I will note how nice it acts in direct sun light though!
My bottom left corner is bleeding badly. And the colors seem washed out
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
In the second picture, the one on the left seems to have weird wavy lines in the white section, and honestly, neither one of their colors look too hot at that angle anyway. Yes, the Pentile is somewhat less vibrant than a Super AMOLED screen, but it's not that big a deal to me; I'm not color-sensitive designing digital art or using Photoshop on the thing, just surfing and texting, with a little gaming. The biggest factor for me is that the Droid X doesn't have a keyboard, which means it's not even in the cards for me. A close second is that, since I live in Hawaii, good visibility in bright sunlight (all year around lol) is fairly inportant.

Interesting you should mention this. I've seen a similar issue, but only when running a single app called "Bubbles". When the game starts the screen shows up for a second like below, and the game itself runs very slowly. I think something about the graphics doesn't like the One. Have you installed anything that might interfere with the graphics?
I would hard reset the phone before sending it back.

no.i dont have that app installed. besides i was watching youtube video on the phone when it happened.
if you watch closely, you can reaslize, in my pic ,the way the black part it has in the screen is different from the black in your pic, mine is more like "unevenly" pixel broken,as its not a regular rectangular shape like your "black".
i did hard reset.
its totally gone.

Reminiscent of the HTC one it seems that my unit has a blue bleed onto the sensor from the backside illumination. Look up the m7 low light issues. They get worse over time so I'm thinking what will happen is it starts out very mild as it is now and gets significantly worse as time progresses. Here is an example.
You really have to look for it to see it. Crank up brightness and such. When taking low light photos the outer parts must be dark. But really this bs from a flagship. I'll be returning this phone. LG g3 here I come no more bs knox!

I don't care for black photos. You completely missed the point. If it's anything like how the HTC one m7 sensors were it starts out so small

Then clearly progresses into a full blown bad sensor. Looks like you completely missed my point of find it now, see if it's a widespread issue like the m7, track it to see if it gets worse, and fix it under warranry or replace if it's within return period like me. Above was my wife's htc one she never sent in(otterbox) next to an htc one we sent in and got back with a good sensor.
So it only gets worse... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2595534 and the main reference http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317507
Again I only made this thread because this is exactly how my wife's m7 started before it turned horrid. I played xcom on my phone which made it pretty hot for extended periods and ad the first thread states apparently gets worse with heat.

I was thinking the same thing
I made a test taking a picture with the lights off and the phone agains my bed.
ISO 100 --> a very nice black photo
Auto ISO (a very high ISO, i can't remember the value, but it's extremely high) --> you can see at the center of the photo a perfect black, but in the corners you can see some purple tint. It looks like noise, but it's a strange behavior that just the corners are affected.
why is it assumed that since you have the faulty sensor thats just how the S5 was made. maybe you have a faulty device and it needs excahnged. try a second device and see how it is. if its similar thgen this maybe an issue. but one thing from one device isnt "bs from a flagship device"
It gets worse if you enable picture stabilization. Mine has quite a bit in low light, but as FarKeld noted, it all goes away at low iso settings.
with picture stabilization ISO goes up to 2000
btw: I'm getting an annoying error "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped" every time I try to see my photos

What kbrn is talking about (green cast while in manual focus) is a feature called "focus peaking", and, yes, the Note 9 does do it (as does the Note 8, and my wife's S8).
(But that's not what we're seeing in the OPs post since the pics are in Auto.)
