I got that once randomly. Don't remember what I did, but it disappeared shortly. No clue what it is

I have seen this on each version of Jelly Bean and can only think it is a bug. It seems to be linked to the Google Now notification. I generally get it when in landscape mode, which for me is generally after watching YouTube videos.

For some odd reason, my Calendar app has lost it's icon. My KFHD is not rooted. Has anyone else experienced this or now how to fix this?
Have you tried rebooting yet?

Yes, I have. No luck.
Anyone been able to remove this with root or by any other means. it really bothers me. (also I posted this in the VZW N3 form by accident first if someone can remove that, thanks)

I literally have no idea what you are asking... Please be specific. What notification?
the ongoing notification that is always in your status bar when the gear is connected

Usually there are apps or mods that can disable ongoing notifications. however, you sometimes lose reliability in regards to connection

I got rid of it with the app "NotifyClean"
That is a module that runs in EXposed framework.

No problems at all.
You can also remove the notification without root access by using "Status" or any other status bar overlay that allows you to edit the notifications.
Once installed remove notifications for Gear Plugin - please note that you still see it in the dropdown, but will not have the constant notification cluttering up your status bar
I have asked about this issue in a couple of ROM threads with no resolution.
Basically all of the contract pics disappear from the messaging app during messaging activity. Eventually they will come back. It's almost like the messaging app is trying to sync them.
I have screenshots but can't upload them here for some reason.

I am having the same problem. I just got the phone and haven't rooted or unlocked bootloader. Was debating on keeping the phone that's why I've not done it yet. Is there an alternate way to fix this issue?

The above method is the only way I've seen. It did fix the issue though.

Anyone that upgraded today have the same issue as me?
After double checking my Android version in settings and seeing 4.4.2, I fast clicked the version number to her to the K that spins. Well, my K doesn't spin at all. I have to long press it to get to the red Android sign, and then long press again to get to the android tiles underneath. My tiles don't float around though. My wife's Note 3 upgraded fine and the easter egg works perfectly. This is making me paranoid that something else isn't right with my upgrade... I just haven't found it yet.

Mine spins, shows k. Tap it, spins. Tap and hold for red Android

I know what it should do. My wife's works fine. Mine doesn't. Mine doesn't spin, and my tiles aren't animated.

Sounds petty, but I'm just worried about what else didn't update correctly. May have ATT reflash in store.

They won't be able to. As of right now, KK is OTA only.

Good times. I Googled this to see if anyone else experienced this weird, hidden issue. Nothing online about it except my post here.

Could there be a problem with your screen's touch sensitivity? Have you tested that in other contexts? Or tried using the stylus with the Easter Egg?
Thanks. K now spins, but the second easter egg (android logo tiles) do not animate... Aka fly across the screen when you click them. Instead they blink in and out. No animation. Interesting.

Fixed. I had animation scales, rendering etc turned off in developer mode prior- in orde to make phone run faster. Good lesson.

I'm an Android newbie...
How do you get this Easter egg to work?
Any others that I should know about?
Thanks all!

Thank you! I am trying that but nothing happens. I'm tapping it as fast as I can.
My Note 3 is completely stock. I know the Developers is turned on but have no idea what that even means.
Thanks again!

As long as you have a Note 3 that has been upgraded to 4.4.2, you can access this easter egg (or any device that has 4.4, not just a Note). If you go to YouTube and search for '4.4 easter egg’, there will be a ton of vids of people showing how to get there.

Is anyone else dealing with this issue? If so, is there a fix. I'm running 4.4.2. I didn't have this problem at all on 4.3.

It looks like the "one handed operation" is activated. go to Setting>Controls>One-Handed Operation and untick "keypad and in-call buttons" and any other options you don't want active.
